We had a wonderful time during our stay! There were several nice touches like doggie supplies and materials for smores. We truly enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful scenery all around. The house was roomy and the beds were super comfortable. The only minor complaints would be the slight smell of cigarette smoke throughout the house and strange placement of the lighting and switches.

Perfectly situated on the outskirts of the town of Oakland, MD. Relaxing cozy cabin that has a great hot tub and outdoor vibe. The inside is modern cabin in style and has every amenitie your home does. The host was a pleasure to rent from and took accommodating to the next level for our stay. Definitely would recommend this cabin if your in the Garrett County area!

The accommodations for the price point was on exemplary. Cute little cabin to relax in for a getaway. The town and scenery are AMAZING especially if you enjoy country/ farmer's markets and real ingredients for cooking locally grown produce. Fire place and pit are very pleasant to sit near and talk all night.

I would stay here time and time again! The property was clean, neat, and I’ve never experienced such a “prepared” rental. There was coffee, cleaning supplies, dog bowls, and so much more! The hot tub was enjoyed in the evenings while listening to nature sounds. Absolutely loved this rental, would highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had a great time! This cabin is lovely! We went out on Sunday to Wolf Den Run State Park, but most of the time we were having fun in the cabin making fire, eating s’mores and enjoying the hot tub.I’ll definitely talk about your cabin and recommend it to friends.Thank you very much!

Convenient to town

We needed a place convenient to Oakland but close enough to things to do for our young adult kids. This home/property was perfect! Had a nightly fire pit/smores session and hot tub time. So peaceful we could hear the cows in the fields conversing with each other. Will definitely stay again!

I’d love to start off by saying thank you to the host for the great weekend. My favorite part of staying in this cabin was the beautiful nights by the fire. The atmosphere of the house along with the serine woods is amazing. The host kindly provided roasting forks along with a smores station, but that’s not the best part. SHE PROVIDES THE WOOD FOR THE FIRE! Other than the fire pit, the hot tub is so relaxing, very clearly well maintained and clean and it even overlooks the fire pit and a tranquil wooded backyard. The interior of the home is very cozy. Big bedrooms, very nice bathrooms, and a very nice vaulted ceiling over the living room. Now as stated in the description there is no A/C so it can get warm at times, but with the windows open and the fan blowing it stayed roughly 5-7 degrees cooler inside than the outside temp. Just plan your trip accordingly. There was a small issue, but the host said they were getting the problem resolved after we checked out so I don’t want to put that against her. Over all a very relaxing experience.

Walking into the cabin and seeing the view from the living room was amazing! ... a beautiful sweeping view of a cow pasture on the hillside and a mountain ridge. Fireplace with provided firelogs and electric candles on the mantel made for a relaxing evening. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. Little touches like the couch cover, ball and petwipes for dogs was nice. Carol even provided dog bowls and makings for s'mores! Rooms and bathrooms very clean with nice private views thru the woods. Watching a pileated woodpecker and a red-headed woodpecker while breakfasting was special. Would definitely stay there again, and I'd like to see the cabin in other seasons. Decks with rockers were nice, although the weather turned cold when we were there so I couldn't sit outside for long. Our family of 4 adults 1 dog stayed there April 5-8, 2026. Thanks, Carol, for sharing your cabin and answering our questions so promptly!

Tucked amongst trees, set back from a lightly traveled road, you'll find Carol's charming cabin. You can see a neighboring house on one side, but it isn't too close. We didn't see or hear another human during our stay - the only talking came from the cows. The interior is a perfect marriage of vintage cabin and modern amenities. The mid-century vibe worked so well with the warm wood and cool stone that I found myself snapping photos, inspired by the decor in the ever changing light. We didn't get opportunity to enjoy the indoor fireplace, hot tub, fire pit or porches, but hope to on the next go round. The upstairs porch especially would be great for coffee and bird watching. The mattress was firm, the sheets were crisp and the curtains kept the bedroom dark. I also appreciated the choice of more environmentally responsible products (Native body, shampoo and conditioner, cheekily named recycled TP, etc). Carol was also a generous host with the bonuses of dog treats, smores fixings and a coffee bar. The four nights we spent went by quickly, but were filled with so much comfort. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay. Oh, and our dog also offers two big paws up!

Perfect location- close to hiking, pizza, and ice cream but privatly nestled into the woods. The house was very comfortable and the spiral staircase was so charming. The hot tub was, by far, the nicest and best of any place I have rented. We are already talking about coming back to this area and will 100% see if this house is available when we do. The host was fantastic- we had 1 very minor glitch with the porch light and she responded immediately and got it working.

This house and host is amazing!!! Communication was beyond what was expected, and the house was clean and comfortable! We stayed here for my son's baseball tournament and had a day off of playing. She offered ideas and even sent the link for things to do in the area. This place gets a 10 of 10 in my opinion. We definitely plan to come back with family!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful 3-bedroom cabin! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect getaway—peaceful, secluded, and tucked away just enough to provide that wonderful off-the-beaten-path experience while still offering every comfort we could need.The cabin was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with wonderful amenities. Our family especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, gathering around the campfire in the evenings, and cozying up by the fireplace after a day of exploring. Every detail had been carefully considered, making the cabin feel both rustic and welcoming.Carol was an absolute pleasure to work with and was one of the best hosts we've encountered. Her attention to detail and genuine care for her guests truly made our stay special.If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can unplug, relax, and make lasting memories with family and friends, we highly recommend this cabin.
