About the chalet:
The house has three floors...
- A top level with two bedrooms,
- a main level with all the social spaces and a bedroom,
- and a basement with a social area and bunk beds, along with a separate bedroom.
The two upstairs bedrooms upstairs are a primary king bedroom and a second bedroom with a queen. Both have an en-suite bath.
The main bedroom has two twin beds (that can be combined to make a larger bed). Bathroom is adjacent.
The basement has a quiet cedar-lined queen bedroom, with doorway separating it from four bunkbeds in the social area. There is a large bathroom with a closed-off dressing area separating it from the rest of the space.
All four bathrooms are renovated full baths.
The main floor has a fully-stocked lovely open kitchen with counter seating, the dining area, and the great sunken living room that can be the center of all activity.
Off the main floor, there is an additional sunroom with a desk and computer monitor for getting work done, as well as a cozy sofa for reading while surrounded by forest views.
The large and warm finished basement contains bunkbeds for four, a foosball table, and a separate living room with television for movies. Let the kids go down to the basement for a great time while grownups gather for drinks around the fire upstairs.
The two bedrooms upstairs are roomy and offer great privacy.
The back deck has some of the furthest views in the Valley and offers seating for meals and hanging out. The location is very open, yet quiet and private.
There is a main entrance with an easy-access ramp to the house, as well as a basement entrance with a ski storage mudroom for coming in from a day of skiing or hiking.
The house has excellent ski access, with the Sunshine Quad chairlift located above the driveway. Or choose a four minute drive to the Okemo Clocktower Base, which you can approach from above, avoiding the traffic on the mountain access roads.
In Vermont's wonderful warmer months, just walk right up the hill for great hiking to the Okemo Watchtower, or enjoy easy road access to Ludlow and the rest of Vermont. Autumn is simply beautiful as you can see the full range of colors in the surrounding hills. There is an expansive deck for hanging out while enjoying unobstructed views.
The house is generously equipped with new linens, towels, hotel bath products, and anything else you might need for a truly relaxing mountain getaway.
Access to the house is off Trailside Drive, on a small private drive. Though the road will be plowed after any significant snowfall, all-wheel/ four-wheel drive or very good traction is recommended in the snowy season.
Please note the following:
- Occupancy is set at no more than ten people by Vermont fire code. We simply cannot host more than ten guests at any one time.
- So sorry, pets are not allowed
- Absolutely no smoking
- Please limit parking to no more than four vehicles
- There is a Ring camera with automatic courtesy lights at the front of the house
Thank you!

The chalet was excellent for our group. It is a true Vermont country home with great mountain and forest views. The lift is up the driveway from the house but everything felt really quiet and calm. It was nice to come home to such a cozy place, and waking up to a clear view after a snowy night was awesome.
The bedrooms were comfortable and private, with little shampoos and nice towels. One of the bathrooms upstairs could use a renovation but worked just fine. Wifi was fast. The kitchen is very well stocked though we did have to search around the cabinets to find the electric griddle. Very nice!

We had a great stay at the Mountain View chalet. Easy access to the south side lifts and slopes. Steep walk but love the easy access to the slopes and lift! Great mountain feel. Easy parking. Able to ski home through the woods to the back of the house which is fun!

This house is a total gem. Perfect location, we were able to get to Southface lift without having to go to the main base or deal with parking. We even left our skis by the lift and came home for lunch. House felt warm and welcoming and our large group had plenty of room to spread out. Excellent set up for cooking while still being able to chat with everyone, the kitchen is very well equipped. We loved relaxing by the cozy fire after a day in the snow.. The master bedroom is very nice, though my spouse found the mattress to be too firm. I liked it. The road to get up the mountain is really steep and one of group had to leave their car in town, so make sure you have awd. We had an amazing time skiing and the kids sledded in the back, and a great trail for snowshoeing. Would highly recommend for a group. Plenty of space to be separate and together! Kids loved the foosball table. Location canât be beat. Will definitely be back!
