Charming Midtown Cottage in Historic Neighborhood with Pool
Our guest cottage is located behind our home in a unique historic neighborhood adjacent to Rhodes College and Overton Park/ Zoo. Off-street, covered parking with additional security of an automatic iron gate is provided. We have a large gunite pool that is open in the summer months. Our cottage is equipped with a full kitchen featuring custom cabinets and new appliances. Customary laundry services are provided for sheets and towels weekly. Laundry drop-off/pick-up options are nearby with reasonable rates. Running or walking trails are near (Overton Park/ Greenline) for those who enjoy outdoor fitness activities: pharmacies, grocery stores, eclectic gift shops, art galleries, museums, and multiple restaurants fill the mid-town scene. Memphis loves music! You can explore historic landmarks like Sun Studio, Graceland, and Stax... or check out live music at The Overton Park Shell or Lafayette's Music Room. There is a movie theater in nearby Overton Square, as well as several venues for plays. Memphis has a variety of great restaurants. We can suggest our favorites, including our favorite places for Memphis BBQ... but BBQ gets pretty personal here. The Memphis Medical Center is nearby, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (which provides free tours with reservations). We love our neighborhood and hope that we can fit your specifc travel needs!

We are native Memphians who love to travel! We ran two AirBnBs (superhosts!) and have turned those properties into long-term rentals. This unit is special because it is located behind our home within a beautiful, historic neighborhood close to downtown and the medical center. As Airbnb hosts, we loved offering a secure place for rest. As a VRBO host, we look forward to showing you how special our little corner of Memphis is!
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Although I grew up in a Memphis suburb, I have lived in the Midtown area since I returned from college. We love old houses, historic charm, and local businesses. We love music, food, art, and travel. Our neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Houses and borders the Rhodes College campus. Overton and the Memphis Zoo are located across the street (North Parkway) from our neighborhood.

Our cottage is a private sanctuary that offers safe, off-street, covered parking and a large gunite swimming pool. This cottage was originally a pool house that we rented to healthcare professionals. We recently renovated the space to create a complete, custom kitchen that is perfect for the space. We offer complimentary laundry services for your sheets and towels weekly.
