Overall a good location and a good space, very affordable, but needs a lot of maintenance.Pros:* Good location. Quiet, close enough to Calhan to make grocery runs. Short drive to the fairgrounds and Paint Mines park.* Spacious interior, open floor plan with a kitchen big enough for a large group* Furniture, decor, and appliances all seemed relatively new and in good condition* Bedding/towels seemed clean overall, with plenty provided for the group* Both indoor and outdoor kidâs toys were available and nice to have* Wifi and electrical worked without issue. TVs worked fine, we were able to stream movies* Grill and patio furniture available on enclosed deck, as well as outdoor string lighting* Plenty of parking in gravel drivewayDespite us and our guests having been uncomfortable about the cons listed below, we exercised extreme caution watching our children and in storing our belongings and concluded it to have been a good stay overall.Cons:* Mice: Upon arrival, we found mouse droppings in multiple rooms, and on top of some upholstered furniture. We immediately mentioned this to the host, who responded promptly to our message but only replied that there was a vacuum availableMost bedrooms had some sort of pest deterrent device plugged into the wall, but in one basement bedroom it appeared to be broken, and a mouse was seen in the room on the first night.
