This home is beautifully situated in the rolling hills outside LaChute, with picturesque surroundings. However, our stay was overshadowed by several significant issues that would prevent us from returning or recommending the property.Most notably, there was no water when we arrived, despite the power being restored earlier that day. We were instructed by the property manager to spend over an hour unpacking and repacking a fully packed utility closet to access water controls, a process we had to repeat again before our departure due to another power outage. This was a major inconvenience and not something guests should be expected to handle upon arrival or during their stay.While the property manager apologized, citing circumstances beyond their control, asking guests to perform what amounts to maintenance—especially by navigating a cluttered closet—is unacceptable. The response lacked genuine customer service and concern for our experience.Other issues included an inability to refill the hot tub due to lack of hose access, inadequate cooling in the bedrooms, insufficient cleaning supplies (only one dishwasher pod for a five-night stay), and a general need for landscaping and tidying.Overall, the home felt unprepared for guests. With some attention to maintenance and guest readiness, this property could be excellent—but as it stands, the inconvenience and lack of support were deeply disappointing.
Some of the contents that were in the closet that we needed to pull out in order to access the well switch to turn the water back on.
We were asked to remove all the contents of the small closet to get behind them to turn on the swtich. This is after we had removed half of the contents.
