What made this vacation special is that we traveled with my 91 year old mother and my 80 year old daughter in law mother. The elevator was a very big help. They also enjoyed fishing off the back dock and relaxing on the lower deck. This place was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals , eat and relax.

The house was lovely. It was furnished beautifully with comfortable beds, nice big couches, and plenty of space for the whole family to relax. The kitchen was updated and stocked with everything we needed to cook big meals. I appreciated having a master upstairs with a huge bathroom and it was quiet enough that we were not bothered by the noise of the kids downstairs playing board games. It was very close to a nice beach access and also to the pier. I would love to stay in this house again.

Family vacation

Beautiful house a short walk to beach. 5-bedrooms that were exactly what we needed. The huge walk-in showers were wonderful, although the kids loved the outside shower. Each floor has a large family space where we could gather to play games, watch tv or just hang out. Large kitchen and plenty of storage. Elevator was nice to help bring up luggage and groceries. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Absolutely Perfect Beach House! We had an amazing stay at the Dancing Pelican and couldn't have asked for a better place for our family vacation! The home was absolutely spotless when we arrived and was incredibly spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and enjoy themselves. The location is fantastic—just a quick, easy walk to the beach, making it so convenient to come and go throughout the day without any hassle. One of the biggest highlights for our family was the elevator. We were traveling with our elderly parents, and it made such a difference. It allowed everyone to comfortably access every floor and made moving luggage and groceries effortless. The kitchen was also one of the best-equipped we've experienced in a vacation rental. It had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we never found ourselves wishing for something that wasn't there.Every detail of this home made our stay enjoyable, comfortable, and stress-free. If you're looking for a beautiful, clean, well-maintained beach house in an excellent location, the Dancing Pelican is it! We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Holden Beach. Thank you for helping make our vacation such a memorable one!

Lisa and Butch,Outstanding property, easy access to everything. views from the back decks of the canal were stunning. House was well maintained and furnished beautifully. My wife is in a wheelchair, the only suggestion that I would have is to install grab bars in the water closet area so that hand caped individuals would have an easier transfer from chair to toilet, otherwise this is the perfect place for someone in a wheelchair. If this place is available for our next trip, I will definitely be looking for it. Calvin

Holden Holiday

Our group of nine had the best weekend at the Dancing Pelican! The house is located on a quiet side street on the canal and was a very short walk to the public beach access. We especially enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs and relaxing each night. The house itself is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The owners provided so many thoughtful touches like floor fans in each bedroom, strategically placed night lights, and outlets with charging ports to name a few. The kitchen was well-stocked and neatly organized. This was our first trip to Holden Beach and we found it to be the perfect family and dog friendly beach. We are already planning our return trip!

We had an amazing time at Holden Beach staying in the Dancing Pelican! The house is beautiful with great bedroom setups. The kitchen is well stocked with all amenities that you may need to cook for the week, including a gas grill. The kids loved fishing off the canal dock and catching tons of little fish each night. The hosts were available quickly via phone and VRBO messaging for questions. You are a three minute walk to the closest beach access. Despite it being the week after July 4th, the beach was not crowded at all. It was amazing to be able to easily find a spot close to the ocean each day. You won’t regret booking this house! We will definitely consider it for future visits.
