Charming Franklin House: Close to Campus, Sleeps 6

Enjoy your adventure or quiet weekend away in Ames from our cozy home. Nestled in a quiet family-friendly neighborhood, it is just a 10-min walk to campus and a shorter 5-min walk away from the CyRide for a quick bus ride to/from ISU games. This home is ideal for relaxed Ames getaways, college visits, and ISU games! Enjoy on-site parking, 3 spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.

Our house is a renovated mid-century 1 1/2 story home nestled into an idyllic neighborhood full of unique homes and history. This very functional and peaceful home is a great base of operations for everything ISU.

Guests are able to access each space of the home with the exception of the garage where storage of lawn care equipment is located. The newly restored basement (completely unfinished) is available for laundry use only. There is no useable living space or bedrooms located in the basement.

There are two off-street parking spots in the home's driveway. There is also ample free street parking in front of the home.

We had a great visit at the Franklin House. House was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Very close to campus. Hosts were great with communication. Would definitely stay again.

Great communication from the host and easy check in process. House is in a great location. Comfortable beds with ample linens/towels and kitchen supplies. We will definitely plan to use this home again when visiting our son at ISU in the coming years.

Host was super welcoming and we appreciated all of the communication. Everything was super clean and cozy. We only stayed the one night, but it had all the amenities you could need for a longer stay. Definitely added to our list of places to stay at again when come back to visit!

We were in Ames to spend Christmas with our daughter. Check-in was easy, the house was just as described, and there was even a small, decorated tree in the living room! We enjoyed our time there and will definitely book again if needed.

Amazing Stay

A few co-workers and myself stayed here on a work trip. We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The neighborhood was quiet as well!

The house is located in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood just to the west of the ISU campus. Although the heat wave prevented us from walking much, we could tell it'd be a pleasant walk to most anywhere on campus. It's also a short drive to groceries (recommend the Wheatsfield Food Collective), Starbucks, etc. The house was clearly well cared for and was perfect for our small family's 5-night stay. The AC and WiFi worked nicely and the kitchen was well stocked. Communication with the hosts was fast and clear. Will stay again if we come back to the Ames area. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo property. The home was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed for our trip.
