We really enjoyed our stay! Both Tom, the property owner and Kim, property manager were exceptionally easy to work with. I would definitely stay again in the future if I have the opportunity. Definitely recommend renting the pontoon, especially for sunset!

Great vacation! Beautiful view, wonderful location & lots of games for kids. Pontoon was clean, comfortable & ran well. Only complaint, only like warm water through kitchen faucet for washing dishes.

Denise thank you so much for the review and for staying with us. We hope to have you stay with us again. My wife and I just spent the weekend at our cottage and had very hot water in the sink (no issues with the shower or anywhere else either). Definitely not trying to be argumentative. I do know it takes a minute for the hottest water to get to the sink (its furthest from the heater). I do wish Kim knew of that issue so she could have come right over to help. In any event sorry your stay was not perfect. Have a great rest of 2026. Tom

This rental is all about location, location, location. One of the better locations on the lake. Inviting front porch and yard. Fell asleep relaxing in the shade on the lake front as the boats wandered by.

We had a nice time at this lake cottage. It has a wonderful view and was well kept. The mattresses were super comfortable. Unfortunately it rained every day so we didn't get to enjoy anything outdoors. Because of that, we have a recommendation that they create a sitting area indoors where you can face the lake and not the TV. Then you could at least enjoy the view from the really great surrounding sliding doors. We did have a glitch with check-in where the property manager was unaware of our stay but it got resolved quickly. Tom was very responsive.

Luann thank you for the feedback! Very sorry your stay was not perfect. I take responsibility for not communicating your arrival to Kim, apologies for that - won't happen again. The rain stunk, no doubt about it, Hope the rest of 2026 treat you well. Tom & Kim

Beautiful house. Full view of the lake from the many windows in the living room with large deck outside. We enjoyed morning coffee and dinners together on the deck. The fishing was good. Our grandchildren enjoyed playing in the lake and playing in the garage on the air hockey table and with the other games and toys. Kitchen was well supplied with pans, glasses, etc.Location was good, just a short drive to restaurants, and grocery stores, Host was easy to reach, and the neighbor, Kim was helpful and friendly.Would highly recommend a stay at this property.

I would highly recommend this property, especially to anyone with children. The entire property was beautiful and very well taken care of. The house was lovely and the backyard was a dream. The deck is clearly new and in great shape, the grass is very well maintained, and there is a perfect tree swing right in front of the lake. Somehow, miraculously, we also never saw a single mosquito, even when the children stayed out late to catch fireflies. The boat on property available for rent was very nice as well. Our family had the best long weekend on Lake Chapman and we can’t wait to come back.

Outstanding property! Can wait to return! Great view, clean and comfortable. We grilled out on Saturday night, the house is well equipped for cooking. The communication with the owner was excellent and Kim, the property manager stopped by to see us on Friday when we arrived. We will absolutely come back, hopefully yet this summer. We enjoyed Winona Lake as well. Everything you need is within 5 miles in any direction.

Steven sorry the property did not fully meet your expectations. We have a picture of the tiny second bathroom on the website but have now added a specific description of the bathroom given your feedback. We have also added language noting 1 of the 8 sleep spots is the top bunk which is limited to 120 lbs. We have made sure the bed sizes are clearly listed. Sleeps 8 assumes 2 people in 3 of the beds. Each group will need to assess what they need, but we have provided all the information we can to make sure folks know what to expect. We prefer guests not sleep on our couches, but we have included pictures of our main couch and garage couch in the listing. Again, thank you for staying with us.
