Ideal Location for Sightseeing and Stadium Events. Our 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom (800 sq ft) semi detached single-family home in Washington, D.C, was built in the 1940s, and it offers both comfort and convenience for guests who are looking for a cozy home to unwind after exploring the city's landmarks.

The space
This is a quaint DC duplex row house that offers simplicity and comfort. Perfect for a quiet family/group who are seeking a clean and convenient living space.
Nestled in a historic African American neighborhood embodies the charm of traditional architecture. Inside you will find one-of-a-kind arts and paintings adorning the walls with vibrant colors and cultural richness.
Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms and one bathroom, providing a comfortable and private space for rest and relaxation.
If you value authenticity and cultural diversity amidst simplicity, this home is the perfect fit for you.

[LOCATION] -The house is located in a residential part of town, so there is no restaurants or bars nearby. And the closest metro station is 1 mile away (30 min walk) across the bridge.
We live in a predominantly African-American neighborhood, which is composed of residential apartments and mixed-income housing nearby. It is not in a gentrified area like other parts of DC.
[OTHER GUEST(S)] - By booking, you are stipulating that you agree to maintaining a very low noise level on the main floor, taking into account and consideration the comfort and tranquility of those occupying the basement guest unit.
Strict quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am.
The basement is a totally separate space and will likely be rented. You might hear someone in the basement if you are on the 1st/ground floor.
[TEMPERATURE] - the house has central air conditioning and we ask that guests leave the temperature setting since it also impacts those in the basement.
[IMPORTANT] - Before booking, please read through the list of amenities available, and note that the home does not have laundry or dishwasher.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the top two floors of the house, and the enclosed front porch. The basement is off limits.
Other things to note
In the interest of fostering a pleasant stay for all occupants, we respectfully request your conscientious consideration of noise levels, particularly on the ground level.
Finally, DC is a beautiful vibrant city with plenty to do in addition to its impressive history! Please let me know what you're most interested in and I can probably offer a few suggestions.

It is home to a number of Civil War fort sites that have since been turned into parkland including: Fort Mahan Park, Fort Davis Park, Fort Chaplin Park and Fort Dupont Park, the largest city-owned park in the District. Ward 7 is also home to green spaces such as Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Watts Branch Park, Anacostia River Park and Kingman Island.

My neighborhood is distinguished by its leafy streets, single-family homes, transit stations and above all, its greenspace. Ward 7 is also home to green spaces such as Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Watts Branch Park, Anacostia River Park and Kingman Island.

Built in 1940s, still has it original architecture, including arched entryway. House is furnished with items collected from my travels in Africa and Caribbean. The walls are decorated with vibrant colors.
