Om boendet

2 King Beds • Sleeps 10 • Garage • Dog Friendly

Space for the whole crew — this 3-bedroom, 2-bath home sleeps up to 10 with 3 bedrooms plus two additional sofa beds, and sits just 5 minutes from Derby Downs and 9 minutes from the University of Akron. A genuine fit for family reunions, youth sports teams, tournament groups, or any trip where you don't want to split up.

The Space

This beautifully updated home combines real space with warm, welcoming style. Three bedrooms (one king, one queen, one king) offer private space for couples or parents, while two sofa beds in the living areas comfortably sleep the rest of the group. Step outside to a private deck — a great spot for morning coffee or unwinding after a day of races, games, or sightseeing.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook for a crowd rather than eat out every meal, and free garage parking means no circling for street parking when you arrive with a full group and multiple cars.

Location

You're 5 minutes from Derby Downs, 9 minutes from the University of Akron, 11 minutes from InfoCision Stadium (UA football gameday), and 7 minutes from Akron-Fulton International Airport.

This home is especially well-suited for:

Soap Box Derby World Championship week (Derby Downs, mid-July) — closer than almost anywhere else you'll find
University of Akron football gamedays, move-in, or graduation weekend
Youth sports teams and tournament groups needing to stay together
Family reunions or multi-generational trips

Genuinely dog-friendly — not just a checkbox.

Guest Access

You'll have access to the entire home and garage. Keypad entry instructions are sent ahead of check-in.

Other Things to Note

We welcome small pets for a $100/stay fee (up to 2 dogs); please share the type and size before booking. Excessive pet hair beyond normal wear incurs a $200 cleaning fee — please keep pets off the furniture.

Everything went well. Accommodations were great. We stayed there for 2 nights and we didn't have any problems. Carmen also allowed us to use the garage which was a big help.

What very nice play to stay, after growing up in the area it was nice to return and find a place completely as advertised! Neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors very friendly. We completely enjoyed our stay and are currently planning on a return trip and hope the dates work for this location. Thanks!!

The house is conveniently located in a nice neighborhood, clean, and comfortable for 5 to 6 people. The kitchen is outfitted with up-to-date appliances. If you have older people or difficulty walking, there are a lot of stairs to climb in order to enter the house. Check-in and check-out procedures were easy and efficient.

Super clean and convenient location

This property was perfect for four generations of our family attending a reunion. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 kids, and the whole house was clean and well-furnished.

The Cozy Get Away is as advertised, very nice home in a nice neighborhood. We are 6 retirees and we had plenty of room. Carmen was super easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any inquiries we had.

This was a great place for us. We had 4 people and it was centrally located to the people we were seeing for the holidays. They have 2 different living spaces which is really nice. We brought our switch and melted into those couches to play games. I think my only “critiques” (if you can even remotely call them that) are there is not a full length mirror, and I couldn’t find any cooking utensils. They had plenty of regular ones, but no spatulas or anything. Could a previous renter placed them somewhere silly? For sure. Just an observation. Carmen was also EXTREMELY responsive and answered any questions I had leading up to the trip, and during. Would book again.

Communication was non existent. Pretty sure you get automated emails, so if you try to reach out you get no response back. House was dirty, there was hard “brown substance” on one of the beds when we arrived so we had to clean before we could settle in. 2 of the TVs didn’t work. But it was cheaper than a hotel and we didn’t need to stay in that house during the day so it worked for what we needed. Wouldn’t stay at that place twice.

This house is nice with every appliance you might need.We had a tough first night. The place smelled as though someone was smoking weed there for a long time. It was already late after a day of travel, and we were ready for bed. The second bed had a SOILED blanket. Of course, that made it quite uncomfortable to get in bed. We laundered the blanket, and the soiled spot came out but took forever to dry and there weren't any extra clean blankets. None of the bedrooms had a dresser or chest of drawers. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean and an abundance of towels. Some of the towels were new and never washed. It is a nice house and after a day we got over the bed creepiness. Could use a couple of chairs on the nice decks.
