Family stay in Whistler

The kids loved all the extras - the hot tub, the pool table, the foosball table, the entertainment room. We wish we could have stayed longer! It was less convenient to get to the ski hill than we anticipated.

Friends ski vacation

Our group had a great ski vacation. The house is beautiful and an excellent location allowing walking access to the slopes and the village.

Snowboarding trip

Great spot for myself and 7 friends on a trip to Whistler. Close enough to the village to walk and plenty of space. Recommended!

Beautiful home, highly functional for "Old Boys" trip

Loved the place. Great host. Lots of space for gear. Plenty of beds. A bit of a hike up to the ski-out access, but a good warm-up.

huge place great location

great for a large group, good separation of rooms and large kitchen. Place is ski in. To ski out you need to walk up a small hill and up a few flights of stairs, then you can ski down to the gondola. alternatively you can do the easy walk down to the whistler gondola. hot tub is great, easy to use garage has a pool table and chin up bar foosball table and and a great theatre room were better than expected.

Beautiful home, shower broken

The house was beautiful, the location was great if you have a car to drop the skiers off at the bottom of the hill (walking without gear totally fine but just long and steep). 2 minutes to offload the skiers behind the Westin. Communication great, beds were comfy and really nice to have a garage. We had two issues. We were told the water was shut off the sink in the main bathroom for the two non-on suite bedrooms the day we arrived (no advanced noticed). They failed to mention that also meant the shower also didn’t work meaning 5 people were left going in and out of the other bedrooms to use their shower. Not a luxury experience. I asked for a partial refund since we likely wouldn’t have booked the place if it didn’t have that bathroom. The only returned us 50 CAD per night which was a whopping savings of 10 pp. Second issue was the hot tub was only half full. Nice stay but couple big issues for the price we paid.

Great stay in Whistler!

The Northern Lights Unit 3 house is simply fantastic! It is spacious and all the fixtures and furnishings are of the highest quality. The pool table, foosball table and media room were a huge hit with our teenagers and adults alike. The location is great, easily walkable to the Village and (in the mostly rainy weather we had) less than a 5-minute drive to just about everywhere in the Village or resort. There are lots of stairs, so I would not suggest this house for the elderly or toddlers, but it is highly recommended for adult groups and families with older kids and teens. We definitely plan to return.

Nice house but not ski in/ski out

This is a very large house that's good for a group, however, it is not ski in/ski out. Your options for ski in/ski out are below: Ski in: walk 1/2 mile uphill from the base, or 500 ft downhill from the mountain plus 50 stairs plus another 800 ft downhill to the house. Ski out: walk 1/2 mile downhill to the base, or 800 ft uphill plus 50 stairs plus another 500 ft uphill to the mountain. We went later in the season so there was less snow on the road and access trail. It would be easier with snow, but still not ski in/ski out.

Unresponsive iTrip manager. Phone messenger full, 2 days without media center for 3 night stay. Oven did not get to temperature - not what you want for vacation.

Spring break

No TV or music in family room. Broken glass in drive. Bad lighting in rooms. Hot tub dirty and needed water. Would not recommend this place. Rented one in same complex 2 years ago and you can tell this place is only a rental.

fabulous property in great location!

we enjoyed our stay in this luxury accommodation. Beds were nice and comfortable. The kitchen well furnished. Hot tub worked well and hit the spot after skiing. Parking worked well for 3 cars (1 in the garage, 2 in the driveway). Only 2 minor issues: 1. we needed to check in a downtown location which was hard to find. I am used to going directly to the property. 2. We had trouble operating the cable TVs. instructions seemed to indicate that they would just work. Weren't intuitive.

Dated property needs a facelift

The photos of this property look amazing but the actual condo has a lot of issues. The appliances like the stove were actually filthy. Some of the cabinet doors didn’t close. Also there is a lock on the garage door which is actually dangerous because children could be locked out. Multiple lights were out. The hot tub is dated and there was a filthy rug on the deck. The level of cleanliness and attention to detail just wasn’t there.

Very Disappointing

I had seen in some of the other reviews that the appliances were dated which wasn't a problem however I had hoped they would work. The hot tub was green and needed to be drained and refilled which was done on the last day so wasn't usable for the trip. The large TV didn't work because the remote had been left off the charger and was dead for the whole trip. Coffee pot was broken, Wine fridge on the main floor didn't work and the fridge in the games room didn't work. The sheets on the master bed were stained and the bathroom downstairs had a terrible smell because the bath mat was moldy. Also the couch on the main floor had stains on it. Not sure how this is classified as luxury accommodation with Hot tub and media room when they don't work. Worst VRBO experience I have had. Property manager resolution was 10% off my next trip. There certainly won't be one because of this.

Good Location But Not Luxury Accommodations

While the property location was great, close to Whistler Village and ski slope access, the unit itself was far from 5 star luxury accommodations, as priced and advertised in the listing. The check-in process was difficult. We had to wait beyond the check-in time to get access to the unit, and the check-in representatives could not answer basic questions about parking. On our first night we discovered the bed frame in the primary bedroom was destroyed, preventing us from using the bed that evening. The management team responded in a timely manner, however, and repaired the bed frame the next day. We were also provided a partial refund, after requesting one, for not having access to the bed for one night. As others have noted, the unit is tired and in need of upgrading and maintenance to make this a 5 star luxury accommodation. The dishwasher did not work well and was rusting and dented, there were no basic cleaning supplies to wipe down kitchen counters, etc., the balcony light where the hot tub was located did not work, the media center did not function, and other minor issues. Overall, I cannot recommend staying here until the unit is appropriately maintained to match the description.

Northern lights 3

It wasn’t the cleanest place. The coffee maker hadn’t been cleaned from last user and it was pretty gross. Full of mold. It’s a pretty tired unit. That said the beds were comfy. It’s pretty well stocked although we were having a turkey dinner and we didn’t have enough serving bowls or cutting board big enough for a turkey. The games room is a really nice feature although we couldn’t get Sportsnet on the v to watch the hockey game weirdly. We had a great time but it needs some serious TLC.
