VĂ€lkommen till Double Eagle Lodge belĂ€get i hjĂ€rtat av Michigans orörda övre halvön. Fly frĂ„n det livliga livets liv och rörelse med en utflykt till det stora utomhus. Ingen mobilmottagning eller internetuppkoppling gör att du kan koppla av i naturens tysta lĂ€ge. Denna pittoreska timmerstuga ligger vid stranden av Long Lake. Även om lodgen ligger 13 kilometer frĂ„n nĂ€rmaste elkĂ€lla laddar solpanelerna och back-up-generatorn batteribanken för att ge bekvĂ€mligheterna i hemmet, samtidigt som naturliga ljud i omgivningen bevaras. Denna timmerstuga sover sex totalt, med fyra enkelsĂ€ngar pĂ„ loftet och en queen size-sĂ€ng i det privata sovrummet nere. Stugan Ă€r utrustad med inomhusvatten, inklusive en spoletoalett och en dusch, samt ett fullt fungerande kök. Det finns en separat byggnad för propaneldad bastu och en andra dusch.

Med undantag för Àgarens stuga finns inga andra stugor pÄ sjön. LÄng sjö har utmÀrkt fiske med Walleye, Bass, Abborre och Northern Pike, som Àr den mest dominerande fisken. Om man Àr tyst, finns det gott om vilda djur att fÄ en glimt av som Àlg, rÄdjur, björn, vargar, coyote, bÀver, otter och mÄnga fÄglar - inklusive baldörnar som bor i nÀrheten. Om du gillar kajakpaddling eller paddling kan man paddla upp och nedströms tills bÀverdammar nÄs. Man kan vandra, mountainbike, bada, snöskor och snöskoter hela dagen och fÄr inte se en annan mÀnniska. Slutligen, i slutet av dagen kan alla koppla av och sitta runt eldstaden och titta pÄ solnedgÄngen och rosta S'mores. NÀr elden dör ner Àr natten riktigt mörk utan pÄverkan av stadsljus. StjÀrnorna Àr otroligt tydliga och ljusa!

Cabin was perfect: off the grid, fishing was good, weather great, surrounding area full of wildlife. Great communication with owners. Only drawback were the mosquitoes!

Can't Wait to Return!

If you're looking for a true UP cabin experience, you can't beat the Double Eagle Lodge. Our stay was the perfect way to start the new year - quiet beauty, snowy trails, countless stars, moose tracks, and a bald eagle sighting. The lodge is impeccably well maintained and the property is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts or nature lovers. The owners and caretaker are responsive, caring, and made the whole experience as easy as can be. We look forward to returning and experiencing Double Eagle Lodge in the summer!

Unplug and unwind

Double Eagle is the perfect place to unplug from the world. The cabin is beautiful with all the comforts of home except for internet and cell coverage. The drive into the cabin takes about 40 minutes from the highway.

Double Eagle September Stay

The property was everything that was advertised and more. Our only disappointment was that the fish weren't biting - at all. But that's not the property's fault. That said, we had a great time. A special callout to the caretaker Clay. He answered all our questions and was very gracious and engaging.

Away from it all

Love this place. It is serene and private. It is also rustic and off the grid so you need to be able to appreciate the handcrafted (read: not always perfect) elements of the cabin. And oh yes, be prepared for the bugs outside during the summer (high deet concentration, head net, light and loose long clothes are all good insurance policies to have on hand). If you can get past that, you'll feel like you are in heaven. Laura, Matthew and their caretaker Clay are all great to work with.

Remote Perfection

Our stay at the Double Eagle Lodge was unforgettable. From the moment we turned off the main road, we knew this experience would be different. The remote location, along with the property's incredible amenities, is what made this stay so special. It was wonderful to feel how long and filled a day can be, away from any of the cellular distractions. We cooked simple meals, read a LOT, fished, walked and swam. Best for us was paddling the lake in the kayaks, which we did several times and a different times of the day. This is a special place, and we hope to return. The cabin has everything you need. Just go slowly on the roads, and pack plenty of provisions. Once you are there, you won't want to leave! Thank you for offering this beautiful Northwoods spot!

This is a wonderful "off the grid" vacation spot. If you are looking for someplace to just get away from everything, this is it. After two hip replacements last winter, we decided to have a relaxing vacation. We didn't kayak, fish, or swim, but the peace and quiet was wonderful. We read books, played games and went for small walks everyday. The cabin was very nice!

Isolation without deprivation

Imagine your own lake, the sounds of nothing manmade, no electronic interruptions, and time spent alone with people you love and yesterday’s simple entertainment of card games and conversation around the campfire. Now, know that these things are accessible with a short drive down a well-maintained logging road. The cabin is better than you could imagined, the fishing is great, and you see a moose with its calf on the way out. Forty minutes from the highway, you are a million miles from what you usually experience. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at the Double Eagle Lodge. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. The location is perfect for getting away and spending time in nature. We spent most of the time fishing and hanging out by the dock, and enjoying the beautiful screened in porch playing games and watching the wildlife. Thank you!

We love the Double Eagle Lodge

If you want to re-connect with the nature and to take a break from the busy and hectic everyday life, Double Eagle Lodge is the perfect place just for that. The lodge is situated off the grid and by a beautiful lake; you can go fishing or swimming, and the owners provide a complimentary paddle boat and a row boat. The lodge is very clean and well maintained. This was our fourth visit to the Double Eagle Lodge, and we cannot wait to visit it again!

Top notch wilderness vacation

This is a wilderness vacation with indoor plumbing. We didn't see another person or hear a vehicle for our entire stay. Aside from a couple jets flying over it was completely silent. Clay the caretaker went above and beyond what was expected to make our stay that much more enjoyable. We will book it again

Beautiful place.

Quiet serenity

What a visit, spent most of our stay fishing and we were spoiled with how many fish we caught from monster bluegill to aggressive pike. The fishing boat was great and equipped with a livewell, and the kayaks were awesome for exploring down river. The cabin has everything you would need and felt far from roughing it while still maintaining rustic charm. Aside from the caretaker Clay we didnt see another person during our entire stay. Very peaceful and great way to reconnect with nature!

Great place to enjoy nature's beauty

Double Eagle is a great blend of untouched natural beauty and the creature comforts that make your stay comfortable and accommodating. Owner is very responsive and the care taker, Clay, is very helpful and always great to talk too. The cabin is filled with "Cabin Charm" and there are endless opportunities to fish, hike, view wildlife, spend time, on or just looking at, the lake, or enjoying the sauna. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape the hectic pace of modern life.
