Nearly perfect cabin

My wife and I loved our 4-night stay here. The property was remote enough that we never saw another person, just us and nature. The cabin is exceptionally well decorated and stocked with on-theme books, puzzles, and games. Was all very well thought out - the switches were labeled, there's a map of the property on the fridge, and the bound guide is the most complete I've seen at a vacation rental. Very impressed all around. The only negatives worth noting are the ever-present wasps on the back porch, they seem to live in the attic above the porch, and the record player and/or speaker issue which prevented us from enjoy they well curated collection on property. There were plenty of other outdoor seating options away from wasps. Overall, this is an amazing place to get away for a while and read, play games, and enjoy the outdoors. Although we didn't need anything, Holly was always very quick to respond. Highly recommend.

My husband and I met in college—Go Highlanders! As fellow Sagittarius, the spirit of exploration is in our blood, and we thrive on the excitement of uncovering new destinations, especially those that lead us to breathtaking hikes and outdoor experiences.

Our love for travel has naturally fallen into the lives of our children. They share in the excitement of packing bags, hitting the road, and embracing the thrill of the unknown. Together, we've stayed in countless short-term rentals, each experience inspiring us with ideas and possibilities. It was during one of these moments that we felt the “itch”—the desire to create a special getaway of our own.

With two very close families interested in purchasing a house in Afton, we jumped at the opportunity. What began as a simple venture turned into a learning experience in remodeling, hospitality, and the art of creating spaces where guests can feel at home. Once we completed our first property, "Time to Wine Down," I fell in love with hosting. There was something magical about welcoming guests, making their stays memorable, and sharing the beauty of the area.

That’s when everything clicked, and Pathway Properties was born.
