Wisdom Dock Retreat is in a rural community where the outdoor recreation is limitless. Dale Hollow and Lake Cumberland are very close by. Besides all of the recreation that the lakes have to offer, there are endless opportunities for hiking, hunting, birdwatching, running, bicycling, horse back riding, golfing, Frisbee golf, mushroom hunting, caving, kayaking, and anything else you can think of. The historical local towns offer some unique shopping and sightseeing. The area has a deep history in distilling moonshine and bourbon. Thus, the Bourbon Trail extends throughout a large part of Kentucky. Antiquing is always a fun way to visit the past in the area, where heirlooms have been passed up by progress. Wisdom Dock Retreat is a place that you can relax and unwind. The grounds often displays all kinds of wildlife activity. You may hear a Wild Turkey gobbling or a White tailed deer blowing. In addition, there are often your domestic animals where a rooster is crowing while a momma cow is bawling for her calf. The area is very scenic and unique.
