Black Bear Lodge promises vacationers a blissful and carefree experience from start to finish. Every moment will become a Wallenpaupack lake memory that you will treasure always. Centrally located in the Wallenpaupack Lake Estates community, you will be immediately charmed by your wooded surroundings. Step inside this spacious home to be greeted by gleaming hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and massive wall of windows. Filled with natural light, the main level living area has an open layout that is ideal for spending time with family and friends. Get cozy by the gas fireplace in the great room to watch TV with the kids or to make a toast with that special someone. Make home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen that features granite counters and stainless steel appliances. When it is time to dine, there is plenty of seating at the kitchen island and the table. Plus, sliding doors give you access to the deck for afternoon cookouts. The main level primary suite is a private haven furnished with a king bed and TV. Wood accents add a touch of warmth that creates the perfect ambiance for a mountain escape. Your private bath offers a dual vanity and roomy, tile shower stall. Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms, one with a king and one with two queen beds that share a bath. They are tastefully decorated with a good night's sleep in mind. You will awake refreshed and ready to tackle a fun day at the lake. For a fun evening at home, head to the lower level family room. Lots of seating options give everyone a good view of the wall-mounted TV when you want to watch football or a favorite movie. Enjoy telling "big fish" stories around the bar area or play arcade games on the two arcade machines. Two more bedrooms each with king beds and a full bathroom with massive walk in tile shower, round out this 5 bedroom luxury home. Each morning, you can sip coffee on the large deck as you contemplate your plans for the day. Enjoy meals with the family in the evenings and relax by the gas firepit or you can take a dip in the bubbling hot tub that is sure to relax.
Although this house overlooks the great Lake Wallenpaupack, there is NO DIRECT ACCESS TO THE LAKE and NO DOCK, however, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates is a non gated amenity filled community that allows you to enjoy the two outdoor pools, playgrounds, ball fields, fishing lakes, tennis/basketball courts, indoor pool and lots of roads to walk or bike. 10 amenity badges are included in the rental for use of the amenities. Hamlin and Hawley are just a 20 minute ride where you will find restaurants, shopping and lots of recreational options. Hike along Shuman Point or take the kids to see the animals at the Claws and Paws Animal Park, miniature golf at Costa's Family Fun Park or explore any of the State Parks in the area.

Access to the property is contactless by keyless entry. Our Digital Welcome Guide is a complete guide to your arrival, stay and departure for your rental home. The Welcome Guide is sent when the required forms and information is received.
Guests have access to the whole house. Locked closets/areas are as follows: Utility Room in Basement.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE - BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
75% of guests need to be 30 or older with an exception for children traveling with their parents. The remaining 25%, will need to be 25 and over.
This home is for families and respectful guests, it is not a party property. All bookings are required to sign a short-term lease after the booking has been accepted to satisfy community requirements.

Parking is available for up to 5 cars.
Day Guests are limited to 5 people over the 12 allowed for overnight guests.
LAKE INFO
Although this house has wonderful views of Lake Wallenpaupack, there is no direct access to the lake from the property. However, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates has a community access with dock are where you can swim and fish, drop off or pick up guests from a boat you may want to rent from one of the many local marina's. The Community also has two smaller non motorboating lakes that you can swim/kayak/fish.
HOUSE RULES
No Smoking and No Pets. NO FIREWORKS or discharging of any firearm is not permitted. Includes BB, air, pellet, paint guns.
Quiet time 11pm – 8am – this is a family-oriented neighborhood, no late-night parties allowed. Voices carry at night when it’s quiet. If you are out late at the firepit or on the deck, please keep noise to a minimum.
