Available for three months this summer, Little Pond is an 1824 stone farmhouse situated in historic Bucks County, PA. Enjoy 15 acres of preserved land endowed with trees, terraces, fields, a classic red barn, and the small pond for which the property is named. Owned and renovated by an interior designer, the fully-furnished four bedroom, three bath home offers a country escape of elegance and ease.
At the heart of the home is a spacious gormet kitchen perfect for cooking with family and friends. Gather and enjoy the large marble island, wood-burning fireplace, and cozy lounging area with views to the fields and pond. Off the kitchen is the mudroom, laundry and half-bath. A long covered veranda with its wicker seating and porch swing invites you to linger with coffee in the morning or cocktails before dinner. Dine in the library, surrounded by art and books. Read or screen a movie in the serene French-inspired living room. Upstairs are the four bedrooms, each with their own unique charm. The queen bedroom with its decorative fireplace and the two rooms with full-size beds share a bright hall bathroom. The spacious primary bedroom has a king bed, large closets, and en-suite bath.
After dinners, gather around the firepit or watch the stars in the dark sky. Wake up to see deer, fox and geese traversing the front lawn. Walk down to the pond and take the small bridge to the island, or stroll around the property or along the roads.
The farm is only 1.5 miles away from the pristine lake and wooded trails if Nockamixon State Park, perfect for running, hiking or for water sports like kayaking or paddle boarding. The park offers some rentals of equipment. The quaint river towns of the Deleware like New Hope, Frenchtown, and Lambertville are easy distances away. New York City's Holland Tunnel and downtown Philadelphia can be reached in less than 1.5 hours. Newark Liberty Airport is about one hour away.
