I never leave negative reviews, but this VRBO stay was unacceptable. Upon arrival, the property was filthyâto the point that we had to spend over two hours cleaning just to feel comfortable enough to sleep there. Hair was everywhere: in the bed, the shower, the sink, & across all hard surfaces. The sheets didnât match, & the one towel provided looked âcleanâ at bestâbut there were no hand towels or washcloths at all.When I contacted the manager, I was advised to use towels from the linen closet, which still had retail tags on themâclearly never washed. When I expressed my discomfort using unwashed linens, no resolution or assistance was offered. Thankfully, my husband found a satchel of clean linens tucked away in a cubby, which we used to re-make the bed and provide ourselves with clean towels.The overall cleanliness was atrocious. There were greasy handprints on walls & headboard, which made the space feel more like a used-up crash pad than a welcoming vacation rental. Frankly, it felt like a house being used for something other than honest hospitality.To make matters worse, the home was poorly cooled. A single tiny A/C unit in the center room had to run at full blast just to make the surrounding rooms barely livable.Iâve stayed at many vacation rentals, and this was hands down the worst. I strongly advise against booking this property unless and until it undergoes a serious deep cleaning and proper management intervention. No guest should have to clean their rental
