Kingsburg är en liten by, känd för sin kraschar surfa, stränder och pastorala vyer - vilket gör det till en av de mest fantastiska platserna på södra stranden. Besök bara en gång och du vill inte lämna. Det är magiskt.

Ett kustinspirerat hem med 3 bra storlek sovrum, 3 badrum (!) och vackert öppet koncept kök och stort rum - ger dig en fåglar öga utsikt över det fantastiska landskapet av pastorala och havsutsikt.

Detta hem bor stor med öppna koncept stora rum på både övre och nedre nivåer. Modernt, ljust med solsken hälla in - det är både mysigt och modernt och ger käftande utsikt vid varje tur.

Välutrustat kök, flera TV-apparater med satellit och Netflix, höghastighetsinternet, sängkläder, handdukar och tvättmaskin och torktumlare gör det här hemmet en enkel och vilsam semester i vardagen.

Lunenburg, med alla sina restauranger och sevärdheter ligger bara 20 minuter bort. Mahone Bay, Lahave Bageri, kabelfärjan och staden Chester är alla värdiga och enkla destinationer.

Fabulous winter getaway

The home is lovely, very clean, and the views are spectacular. The space is large and functional and, although we were just a couple, it would easily accommodate six people. The furnishings and bed were comfortable - the use of the woodstove was extra special as there was snow and winter weather during our December stay. The coastal decor in the house is vey nice, including lots of local Nova Scotia artwork. The owner provided excellent communication and made extra effort to decorate the home for the holidays. Highly recommend!

An incredible property with the most amazing sea views. Truly an idyllic location. The cottage is beautiful, extremely well equipped - it lacks nothing. Quality linens, beautiful artwork, it’s a wonderful property. It’s obvious that this is Catherine’s home - not just a rental. 10/10 would recommend!

Beach house beauty

Relaxing, comfortable and fully eqipped beach house in Kingsburgh. Rose cafe is just up the steet for food necessities or 30 minutes to Bridgewater if you need to stock up. But you may never want to leave the views or the sound of the ocean from the deck. The host, Catherine, is very responsive to any questions. You'll feel right at home and very welcomed.

Better than the photos

What a beautiful, simple but well curated home. Astounding views! We watched the waves crashing the shore and deer on the back lawn. It’s an idyllic spot. The interior design is thoughtful, comfortable and sprinkled with enough local charm to keep you smiling at every turn. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back.

Holiday get away

The house and area were perfect. Catherine was wonderfully communicative. We found out shortly after our arrival that we lost our dad. Although our stay wasn’t what we had hoped for, a relaxing few days from the city, it became a lovely place for us to be together as a family and grieve. It’ll always be a place close to our hearts. Superior Vacation Home

Marvellous accommodation, superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would be ideal for 2 couples with children. Located conveniently for beaches at Kingsburg, Hirtles, Rissers and crescent. When hurricane Lee threatened to spoil our vacation, Catherine went out of her way to adjust her plans to allow us to save our holiday. Highly recommended.

Seahaven is Heaven!

This special property is such a welcoming refuge from the concerns of busy city life. Driving into the community we knew we had made the right choice to visit this breathtaking area of Nova Scotia. And sure enough, just entering the driveway to this delightful cottage sealed the deal — even on a grey rainy day!! To top it off, as soon as we opened the door, we were immediately greeted with charming, cozy comfort. It is spacious, well-appointed, and designed with a gorgeous colour palette and furnishings. The sweeping views out the large windows put on quite a show with the changing light and weather conditions throughout the day, while inside is a delightful gallery of NS folk art with thoughtful touches right down to the rope and tartan coasters. We really enjoyed our hikes on Hirtles Beach and exploring the nearby areas, and chatting to friendly locals, but truly, just staying home in this hilltop slice of paradise was a joy. You can tell this home is treasured by the owner and it is wonderful that she shares this experience with others. Thanks to Catherine for being such a responsive, generous and gracious host. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. We are already looking forward to returning to this magical place and will gladly recommend it to friends.

Winter Getaway at Seahaven

Having just spent five days at Catherine’s seaside haven we can tell you it is one of the best equipped and beautifully appointed properties that we have rented in the 20 plus years that we have been going on an annual Winter Getaway in Nova Scotia. As a host, she is Five Star on all criteria. In any season, this property and location would be perfect. We’re already planning our return next Winter.

A Picturesque Gem

Nothing like a little NS staycation to start my 44th year off creating memories with my fam jam. We had a wonderful weekend recharging our batteries by doing nothing but relaxing, playing games (I highly recommend “What do you Meme?-family edition”) and walking the beaches enjoying the natural beauty of NS. We love visiting the South Shore, and have stayed at many rentals over the years. @seahaven.kingsburg was definitely a picturesque gem 💎 that spoke to all of the things we love about NS. Aside from the amazing location and accommodations, our host Catherine, is one of the main reasons our stay was as enjoyable as it was. She was quick to respond, helpful, thoughtful, and it’s not hard to tell she loves NS as much as we do. The next time you’re looking for a place to stay along the beautiful South Shore, I highly recommend this property.

The Best!

Our ten day stay at Catherine’s property in Kingsburg was our second in that beautiful house. It is well equipped in every imaginable way - from kitchen to linens to entertainment - there really aren’t enough superlatives! Catherine’s thoughtful decorating truly reflects the area. She is a host who goes out of her way to make her guests’ stay the best it can be - from being available for questions to being attentive before and during the stay. We have been coming to Kingsburg for many years and hope that Catherine’s property will be available for many future visits. It’s really the best!!

Wildflowers, Salty Air and Fireflies

We just had four days of bliss at Catherine's property and can hardly wait to go back. As soon as you pull into Kingsburg you are transported into one of the most peaceful places in Nova Scotia. My husband, parents and 20 month old son came along and it was just perfection. My parents spend most of their time just taking in the beauty of the patio and on our last night spotted thousands of fireflies in the wildflower field behind the house. If you are lucky enough to book Catherine's house you will most certainly love your time there.

Magical Kingsburg

Catherine's home in beautiful Kingsburg gave us a perfect get-away. We were there for 3 days and nights and will certainly return again. The home is spotless and beautifully decorated. The furniture is comfortable for relaxing and taking in the extraordinary view. Gorgeous Hirtle's beach is just moments away for jumping in the waves. The property is stunning. We saw countless deer sauntering through the meadow below. It's a 5 star vacation place in every way!

Long weekend getaway

We spent three days and three nights at Catherine’s cottage and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Kingsburg is the most beautifully unique sea side community with views that leave a lasting impression. The cottage is more than we expected with all of its amenities. Very kid friendly, comfortable, clean and inviting. We had two adults and two small children, but could have easily vacationed with another couple and/or family. Catherine was superior to deal with and her beautiful touches within the cottage were appreciated - you’ll have everything you need from cooking a big meal, travelling down to the beach, sightseeing and dining out (large selection of guides). Highly recommend this beautiful cottage. Thank you Catherine!

The best location, host and all around experience

Oh my gosh, this house was wonderful. From the time we drove up (in the middle of a rain & wind storm) we knew we in for a treat. The spectacular views of the surf crashing on the cliffs is unparalleled. Because of the storm we were able to to witness the glorious fury of the North Atlantic, but from a safe distance. On top of that the house is just as advertised: superbly stocked kitchen, huge living area, fabulous bedrooms and bathrooms. The cathedral ceiling takes full advantage of the views. There is a short walk up the road to a cliff with breathtaking views of Hirtles Beach. Do not miss it! We have been to the South Shore many times, but this was our first time in Kingsburg. What a special place. We discovered Rose Bay General Store and Bistro and went there every day. The bistro food is delicious. But really, the crowning glory was Catherine herself, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome., checked in with us several times, left snacks for us, and made sure we had everything we needed.Loved it!

Outstanding vacation rental

One could not ask for a more beautiful well appointed place to stay near Lunenburg Nova Scotia than this place. The spaciousness, the views, the closeness to all to do and see in the area are right here. Comfortable beds and furniture , any equipment one would need, the house has it all. Plus the art work is fabulous! So glad we found this rental! And the owner was exceptionally helpful.

A lovely seaside vacation experience!

This is a beautiful location with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the peaceful sound of waves crashing on Hirtle’s beach in the distance was music to our ears. We enjoyed rising early and experiencing spectacular sunrise scenes through the expansive living room windows. The property is close to a walking trail that leads to a secluded stony beach and for swimming, Hirtle’s beach is a 5 minute drive from the house. I rated the location as 4 instead of 5 stars because the road in to the neighbourhood is narrow and requires extra care when meeting oncoming vehicles. We were impressed with the artistic flair with which the owner furnished and decorated the place and the many little extras that went beyond our expectations, such as books describing the fascinating culture and history of Nova Scotia’s South Shore, snacks in the cupboard and binoculars for viewing distant sights. The house was very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Our host was very kind, caring and responded promptly to our questions by text. We were 6 adults looking for a place to enjoy some family time together near the ocean and we came away very pleased with our experience.

Spectacular location, great accommodation

We spent a very enjoyable two weeks in a great house in a great location. The house is well equipped and has an unbeatable view. The location is convenient to lots of recreational activities and interesting excursions. The owner is very attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We even had a front row seat for Hurricane Dorian. The house was solid and weathertight throughout the show. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.

I love, LOVE Nova Scotia and fell in love with the pastoral views of Kingsburg. The sound of the crashing surf and the peaceful views of the grasses on the hillside make it an ideal vacation spot. Plus, access is easy to one of many, many beaches as well as the town of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Worthy destinations.
