Idyllisk karaktärstuga ligger i anlagd trädgård med en privat pool

Casa Pero är ett bekvämt möblerat, centralt uppvärmt boende för upp till 7 gäster. På bottenvåningen leder ett välutrustat kök till ett stort men mysigt vardagsrum med soffor, fåtöljer, bokhyllor, öppen spis och eld. Det finns också en wc / dusch på bottenvåningen. Den första våningen nås med en extern trappa som ger tillgång till tre stora sovrum, två dubbelrum och en tvilling. Det finns också ett välutrustat badrum med wc. Utanför finns en stor upplyst asfalterad terrass där det finns trappsteg ner till en pool i bra storlek (10x6m), som ligger i trädgårdar som är professionellt utformade och rikt planterade med lavendel, rosor och många färgglada perenner.

Casa Pero är idealiskt beläget halvvägs mellan Adriatiska kusten och den hisnande naturen i nationalparken Sibillini Mountains. Med sina vildblommande ängar, sina ginklara bergströmmar, kalkstenar och vattenfall är dessa berg ett fristad för vandrare, mountainbikecyklister, skidåkare och de bara dödliga som helt enkelt vill uppleva detta sublima landskap. Inget besök är komplett utan en resa till Piane Grande, tidigare en issjö och nu den mest fantastiska vildblommande ängen, och Gola Infernaccio (Hells Gorge), ett måste för vandrare och vandrare.

Adriatiska kusten är i alla syften en lång sandstrand! Stränderna är rena och vattnet är härligt varmt under sommarmånaderna. Det är oundvikligen mycket att välja mellan, till exempel vid Porto San Giorgio och San Benedetto del Tronto, med dess gamla världs elegans och palmkantade strandpromenad som stöds av hotell vid havet och gamla koloniala villor. Däremot är de mer intima stränderna vid Sirolo och Portonovo under de höga klipporna vid Monte Conero väl värda att besöka.

Den närmaste golfbanan ligger söder om Ancona vid Conero cirka 1 timmes bilresa från huset. Klubbuthyrning är tillgänglig och greenfee är extremt rimliga.

Trots det lantliga läget är det definitivt en del av semesterupplevelsen att äta ute. Det finns många utmärkta restauranger, trattoriaer och pizzeriaer på platsen där du kan provsmaka den underbara Marchegian mat och vin. Bland de bästa är Farfense på Santa Vittoria, Le Logge på Smerillo, Le Querce på Monte San Martino och I Piceni på Ortezzano.

Om du inte känner lust att besöka en stor stormarknad i Amandola eller Comunanza (båda cirka 20 minuters bilresa), kan all mat och nödvändig shopping göras på Santa Vittoria i Matenano, cirka 5 minuters bilresa. Denna vackra lilla historiska kulle stad har två små butiker av typen "Spar" såväl som en bank, ett bageri, växthusgare, två slaktare och flera barer för att vara borta på en hantig timme och folk tittar på!

Stunning location

The location of the property is ideal for those like us who want peace and quiet and love the feeling of being close to nature. The house is lovely and spacious and beautifully decorated, very comfortable and extremely well-equipped. We spent all our time there outside and made the most of the lovely pool and pretty terrace and garden. The owners have made the property very welcoming, with excellent details about nearby shops, restaurants and places to visit. The location means you can easily access the stunning beaches by the Adriatic, as well as the awe-inspiring mountainous landscape surrounding the property. There is one thing that potential guests might want to bear in mind, as the online details do not describe the bedroom situation clearly. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, but they are not accessed discretely. Access to the two doubles and the bathroom is off the twin bedded room, which is the room you enter directly from the front door at the top of the outside staircase. Fortunately this was not an issue for us but it may be for others depending on the composition of your group and their wish for privacy. Also, when we arrived only the two doubles had bedding on. Our group was made up of a couple and 2 single adults, so we needed all 3 rooms. The very helpful agent-manager had only been asked to make up the two doubles. There was plenty of bedding available for us to make the single bed up, however.

Lovely house in a peaceful setting

Lovely spacious house with a fabulous pool and beautiful garden. Very private - the house is near the end of a rural lane high in the mountains of Le Marche. Comfy beds, and the arrangement with the outside stairs up to the bedrooms/bathroom is fine. The bathroom upstairs feels overlooked (although the house next door was unoccupied most of the time, the window looks out directly onto the lane where the recycling area is, so a bit of coming and going there from locals) - could do with a blind or curtain, but good to have the shower room downstairs too. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need for self catering, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating plus the lovely hammock for anyone who wants to take themselves off for some quiet time. Fantastic swimming pool - a generous size and lovely and clean. Thomas gave us a warm welcome and all the info we needed on arrival for a trouble-free stay. A car is essential and it does take quite a while to get anywhere because of the winding mountain roads but well worth the trip. A place waiting for discovery!

A fabulous time was had by all!

We stayed for 2 weeks towards the end of August. The housebook detailing places to visit and eat out made our holiday easy and special and we experienced things that otherwise we would have missed. Having Thomas on hand was the icing on the cake as we were able to communicate with him via WhatsApp and he was happy to make reservations and recommendations for us. The house was was comfortable (in particlar the beds) and everything that we could possibly need was there. The pool was a real treat and we particularly liked the surrounding mediterranean style planting which looked and smelled fantastic. We were also able to pick herbs for cooking. The Sibilini mountains were simply stunning and we could have spent many more days exploring. The beaches were very family friendly and clean and the water was as warm as a bath! The property was ideally located between the two, both being approximately 40 minutes by car. We had some fabulous meals thanks to the recomendations of our host. In partcular, an agri tourismo where dish after delicous dish appeared on the table until we could manage no more! Also, we had lunch at a local hotel and the owner didn't give us menus but instead asked us what we liked to eat and made recomendations for us. The only down side was that we did experience more than our fair share of thunderstorms (this is itself was not a problem as our hosts had recommended heading to the coast if this happened and the weather there was perfect) but the layout of the house became slightly awkward in inclement weather as the staircase was external. Le Marche has so much to offer that we are already planning to visit the region again next year. Thank you Tony and Lynne (and Thomas!)

Magiskt!

Ett mycket härligt (och välutrustat) hus med superfin pool och utehäng. Ett av de tre sovrummen är ett genomgångsrum men det funkade bra för barnen trots att det inte fanns mörkläggningsmöjligheter.

Calme et verdoyant

Excellent séjour dans ce hameau, loin de tout (avec enfants prévoir une solide organisation pour le ravitaillement, à 5 minutes du village pour de petites courses). A 50 minutes de la mer et d’Ascoli Piceno. La maison et le jardin avec piscine sont un havre de paix et de tranquillité, très bien équipée. Si vous recherchez l’isolement, le calme, cet endroit est parfait.

Great, well equipped property & beautiful location

Our first stay in this region. The property was better than we expected, lots of information and really well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The maintenance person was very helpful and pleasant and greeted us on arrival. The garden was beautiful and provided many different seating areas for each time of day. The really enjoyed having the pool and sunbeds for those lazy days too. The local area is stunning with many hill top villages and not far to the larger towns. We had an excellent day at one of the beautiful beaches. The local wines, cheeses and produce were mouth watering and consumed in large quantities. We are already recommending this property to our friends.

CASA SPLENDIDO

As the title says " Beautiful house, link that to beautiful countryside and food, throw in an almost hypnotic calm and you have the perfect recipe for a holiday to inspire and re charge the batteries. This is not our first visit, that can about when a retired dentist friend would rave incessantly about the Marce and this wonderful cottage. Eventually we thought he"s not without a certain modicum of taste and booked Casa Pero. Bingo we were hooked and he was forgiven. Other reviews have mentioned the restaurants where food is good honest Italian country cooking. it great not to have pompous alliterative menus,in fact menus are almost a luxury but don,t be phased what arrives will be a delight. There are many places to visit but give extra time for the Piano Grande and Ascoli Piceno

PEACE AND TRANQUILLITY WITH PLENTY OF FUN AND FOOD

This was our eighth visit to Casa Pero, we love it so much here, away from the pressures and worries of home in this lovely house.. We went with 4 friends to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the tiny hamlet of San Biaggio where there is no through traffic and lazing by the pool is a real treat. The local food is excellent, and very inexpensive, particularly if you go to Agritourismos, which serve local produce and generous quantities of wine, which is included in the price. The owners have a detailed housebook which lists all the good places, including new ones discovered by them. When it was hot we cooled off in the pool, then sat in shaded areas nearby. The valley surrounding the house is full of olive trees and forests, and the garden is a delight. The Piane Grande is a 'must see', about 40 minutes drive away, high in the Sibillini mountains Totally unique, breathtaking views, and its little town of Castellucio has several super restaurants. In the past we have taken a picnic to enjoy on the alpine plain. So, get away from the crowds and traffic, try speaking a little Italian using the house phrasebook (the locals are very friendly and welcoming), you will love Casa Pero as much as we do. La Dolce Vita

This year will be our 5th visit to Casa Pero, and an opportunity to again sample the delights of "real" Italy. With each visit we discover another stunning Adriatic beach, a new picturesque hill town and stumble across a new trattoria serving the most delicious of local cuisines. The friendly locals and epic scenery aside Casa Pero itself is the pefect spot for some serious R&R. With every creature comfort catered for inside, the idyllic garden and pool is a tranquil haven for getting stuck into your holiday book and of course a glass or 2 of Presecco! For those that dont enjoy the blistering midday sun, we suggest taking an afternoon snooze in the hammock under the pergola or visiting one of the local villages for italian ice cream! Once tried, we think Casa Pero will also become your very own La Dolce Vita.

Back Again!

It was so nice to return to Casa Pero last week, just a short visit, but very relaxing just the same. The house was immaculate and welcoming as usual, and we used the wood pellet stove in the evenings for the first time. Very cosy! We had been before early in the year, and were pleased to have lovely spring weather.Despite a few showers,It was very clear and bright and at times warm, especially in the garden.We visited some of our favorite local restaurants and had some great meals, especially at La Lupe, Farfense and Dei Priori. Our Italian is only basic, but the staff were always patient and friendly, helping us through the menus. We didn't venture far this trip, but just enjoyed the peace and quiet. We hope to return again during the summer and to enjoy the pool, one of our favorite occupations! So thank you Lynne and Tony for another great break. Casa Pero is definitely one of our and our friends favorite places to stay, Janet and Nigel Williams.
