Privacy and beautiful falls

We did thoroughly enjoy our stay here. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the place is a little outdated and missing some kitchen necessities but had most of the stuff we needed. Enjoyed the privacy and the layout of the property. The creek and waterfall is beautiful if you can get to it. It is a little bit of a treacherous hike, but beautiful once you get to it. You can also hear the fall from the balcony of the cabin

Wonderful!

My husband and i stayed here for 4 days and it was perfect. The cabin was clean and cozy and private. Our favorite part was the deck with the hot tub. The location was perfect as well, close to attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The driveway up to the cabin is extremely steep bit we had no issues with our AWD vehicle. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Great cabin

Cabin was very clean and we had all we needed in the kitchen. Hot tub was wonderful. My kids enjoyed walking down to the creek in the back (the hill is very steep though!). The location is off of a main road so there was easy access to all of the attractions. Even though it was off of the main road, it still felt very secluded. Our GPS took us to the wrong location, but the property manager answered right away and helped us find it.

Better than the photos

We really enjoyed the cabin named Above the Falls. It was even nicer than expected. The pool table and jacuzzi were added bonuses. Cabin was clean and nearby restaurants delivered to the area. The check in and out process was very simple. We had a great time and couldn't have been happier with this cabin. 10/10.

Pleasant getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay in pigeon forge and enjoyed some great show's. Cabin was nice, only thing was drive way to cabin is very steep and slick covered in wet leafs.all in all great stay.

Cozy and Beautiful

The cabin was perfect for us two plus our small dog. The drive is easy into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and the location allowed us to avoid the heavy, weekend traffic. We were happy to have the all-wheel-drive vehicle to navigate the steep driveway that led to the cabin tucked in the trees. The large king bed is much firmer than ours at home, so we were thankful for the numerous pillows available. The bedroom had ample space for our dog's kennel. The stocked kitchen allowed us to cook the majority of our meals (used the stove, oven and microwave oven) during our stay. We stayed just after Thanksgiving and were charmed by the Christmas tree, garlands, and lights installed (inside and out) before our arrival too!

Relaxing getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great and relaxing second honeymoon. Beautiful and cozy cabin. The sofa was worn out with holes in it and uncomfortable to sit on and it would have been nicer if there was a reclining chair. Other than that all was great.

Perfect place for a small group!!!!

This is exactly what we were looking for. . . single mom, teenage daughter. . . LOVED the view! We hot tubbed every night. The cabin was clean and stocked with necessities (paper towel and toilet paper). We had an issue (no big deal) and the staff responded immediately. We can't wait to come back. I wish I could have gone down to the river, and while some can I'm sure, it was out of my comfort zone from a slip and fall perspective. We will definitely book again!

Nice stay

We enjoyed the location and appreciated the privacy. Great area to visit. Two things could have made the stay better.. The cabin is pet friendly (and we had our little Shih Tzu), however the couch was covered in white dog hair. We are resourceful so made do by covering it with the extra sheet provided for pullout sofa. We did let the office know this so it could be thoroughly vacuumed after our stay. And secondly there were large carpenter ants that were worse on some days than others, when mentioned to rental agency it is apparently a seasonal issue.

Great location and secluded

Overall our stay was great. It is very pretty decorated for Christmas. We had plenty of space and the location made us feel like we were very secluded. The bed was very comfortable. Aunt Bugs was very responsive to the issues we needed resolved. The cabin could use some general TLC, like attention to the roof where it leaks. The outside could use some additional lighting, especially in areas where the dogs can be walked. The thing I would change is check in. We didn’t get the address until we were close to town. That might work for most, but our cell service is spotty while traveling and can be in town. It felt like our gps was sending us to the wrong place and we couldn’t pull any maps on our phones because of service. We usually get the address a day in advance, which allows us to see where it’s at before we leave home. Past Dollywood is a good description, but it’s miles beyond Dollywood. We would use Aunt Bugs again because it was better than many of our other experiences.

Fall Retreat

Wife was a bridesmaid in a wedding held down the road at Four Points Farm* last weekend in October. Stayed 4 nights in what had to be THE PEAK of fall foliage in the area. Beautiful. I mean...STUNNING. Of course that brought bigger-than-normal crowds to Gatlinburg, but that’s part of the deal with the season. We rolled with it. *(if you are looking for a place near Four Points...you can’t get much closer). PROS: Cute, private and well appointed cabin surrounded by nature. The title says it all...the falls put us to sleep every night and joined us for coffee every morning. Hot tub, wrap around covered deck, massive windows...all the good stuff of a mountain get-away. Oh, and communications with the Aunt Bugs’ office? It’s like they were in the car with us coming and going. And for those who don’t necessarily need a lot of stairs in their lives, this place is all pretty much on the same level as the driveway. An extra bathroom and billiard room/wet bar is all that’s upstairs In a neat loft area with floor-to-ceiling windows all around (& if it’s only you and your partner, you can make points by giving her her own private bathroom downstairs, and you take the one upstairs...just a thought). CONS: Not a lot here. But a couple things in the “not great” category: - driveway up to the property is steep. 4WD highly recommended if the ground is wet and leaves are on the ground. 4WD was helpful a few times when we had to get up and over the top of the driveway after a rain. - there were a few things left unaddressed by the cleaning crew. Not awful - and to be accurate, this could be turned into a PRO...as the manager gave us a heads-up before we got there that the cleaners would likely be returning to grab a few items left behind earlier in the day (as I said above...communications with the office and their responsiveness was second to none). That’s it. Overall, great place for a long weekend for a couple, couple traveling with a dog, and/or a or small family with a kid or two (could turn the loft upstairs into a sleeping area with an air mattress if desired).

Great time at Above the Falls cabin

Me and my husband loved the cabin the waterfall we heard down from the cabin was so nice. We chose not to use the hot tub we grilled out hamburgers one night and steaks the next night .it was so quiet.Bed slept so great I'm gonna be honest there are some things that needs to be updated.But it was all good. Already planned another short trip in December before 🎄 The Plunketts from Savannah Tn.

Relaxing

Cabin was warm and welcoming. Clean, tidy, very homey feeling. Due to the rain all weekend we were unable to go to the waterfall. Spent out time relaxing, playing pool and soaked in a hot tub. It was great! The driveway was intense truck did just fine going straight up on the wet pavement but not a place for motorcycles. I'm glad we weren't on ours

The location was perfect but

The location was perfect!!! the house needs a deep cleaning and pest control we had to sweep the floors and clean all the spider weds off all throughout the house. Also killed 5 spiders !!! There was dog hair every where!!! From previous guests. The bedding had to be washed from all the dog hair in it. We enjoyed everything about the property besides the cleanliness of the house. We would stay there again if these issues could be corrected.

This was the perfect cabin for a long weekend getaway for 2. Clean, comfortable, pet friendly! My only suggestion would be to have a 4WD vehicle due to the steepness on driveway!

Needs Deep Cleaning

The location was ok. It was nicely wooded and you can hear the water below. The hill was extremely steep and we were not able to go down the hill to see the water. The cabin needs a deep cleaning. The whole cabin smells of urine. The downstairs bathroom toilet was dirty, the downstairs shower was dirty. The bed was hard. For the money we paid, I would not recommend this cabin.

Steep loosely paved driveway

The website NEEDS to emphasize the steepness of the driveway leading up to the cabin. We came in a fully loaded mini van. We arrived in the evening. Our van could not make it up the incline. We had to back down. I tried 3 times unsuccessfully. Luckily another cabin renter was up there and pulled us up using a winch on his truck. I rented an AWD vehicle the next day and was able to make it up incline. Website should state the need for an AWD vehicle. We would have driven my AWD instead of having the extra cost of renting one. It would have helped if the driveway was paved better. There was loose stone and ruts that prevented tires from getting traction. After we got past the stressful start of our vacation, the cabin was wonderful. We really enjoyed it.

Location trumps the cleanliness/maintenance

The location of this cabin is wonderful, from the babbling brook that you can hear from the porch, to how quick the park and other attractions are to get to. We were 5 mins from the best zip line place and 15 mins from the Smoky Mountain National Park. I was disappointed that the floor was not clean at all, overall there were cob webs and dust pretty much everywhere. Some of the curtains were stained, as well as the shower curtain. The only large burner on the range was out. The light under the microwave was out. There were dead bugs on the floor of the master closet and in the upstairs bathtub. The porch was dirty and the furniture on the porch had not been cleaned in some time. There were fresh towels and the bed linens were satisfactory, but this property needs a deep clean. As other reviewers state the drive way is steep, we were prepared for that. The trail down to the creek is very steep. I did call about the range not working properly and my message was taken quickly and courteously, but no further response was made. I can understand to some extent as we stayed over 4th of July weekend, but a call back to let us know would have been nice. The bed was comfy, the hot tub even in July was nice to have. If the placed is cleaned better I would stay again because of the peace and quiet and great location.
