This is no ordinary vacation rental. Bobcat Lodging is a modern shouse (shed house) or barndominium that blends rustic function with top-tier finishes and open-concept design. The owner built this property to host big snowmobile trips with family and friendsâoffering open gathering spaces to relax together after the trails and private bedrooms for restful nights.

After building Bobcat Lodging for our own use, we quickly realized how often others were looking for the exact same kind of spaceâsomething that could truly fit a large group without sacrificing comfort. Friends, family, and even people in the community started asking if they could rent it for reunions, snowmobile trips, or retreats. We decided to open it up as a vacation rental so others could enjoy the space as much as we do. Itâs rewarding to see it filled with laughter, stories around the table, and groups making their own Northwoods memories.

We built Bobcat Lodging because we were always looking for a place big enough to bring all of our friends and family togetherâespecially for snowmobile trips and summer lake weekends. Most rentals we found were either too small, too cramped, or couldnât accommodate trailers, gear, and groups comfortably. So we decided to create something different: a high-end, functional space where everyone could gather in a big open living area, cook meals together, and still have enough room to spread out at night. Itâs been a dream come true for our own gatherings, and weâre excited to share it with other families and groups who want that same experience in the Northwoods.
