The Stowey Bear

The Stowey Bear, is a charming 1840s farmhouse nestled in the heart of Stowe's Lower Village. This picturesque retreat offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort.
The Stowey Bear features a cozy one-bedroom layout with queen sized bed and a bathroom with rain shower head. You will also find a full kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and oven.
The fireplace is decorative and non functional.
There is one parking spot available.
The space
The VRBO is shared with our office space which we rent out when we are not there.

You have the space to yourself! There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a queen sized pullout couch. Additional linens are located in the wicker basket next to the couch as well as in the bedroom chest of drawers. And good news- no one above you so no noisy footsteps.

You are welcome to use the backyard behind the red barn. There are some chairs and a patio dining set. Please note this is a shared space with other guests but heck it could be fun to grab a drink and meet others.
Guest access
The entrance is at the front of the house. Please park along the side and enter where you are the bear hanging on the door. You have a numeric lock to access the home.
Other things to note
You need a PhD to run the dishwasher. We have instructions in the unit but here’s some details for easy reference.

The P button is for the function - move it to the eco button. The hit the start button (looks like a play button). Close the dishwasher and run away.

If you see something that says H:02 the it means you have programmed it to run in 2 hours. Push the clock button to get it back to 0.
