Denna dolda juvel bara ett kvarter från Taos Plaza är en del av en historisk hacienda-stil adobe som en gång inrymt nonner som arbetar på Vår Fru av Guadalupe-kyrkan. Nyligen och smakfullt renoverat, inredningen konstruerades med komfort och bekvämlighet i åtanke, och det har högt i tak, ett välutrustat kök, ekgolv, en kiva spis och ett mysigt vardagsrum. Ett gammalt äppelträd och ett plommonträd står i en liten gräsbevuxen innergård som känner nästan Medelhavet i sin lugn. Det ligger på en lugn envägsgata bara ett kvarter väster om Taos plaza.

Gasutbud och en stor samling matlagningsmateriel. Fransk dörr kylskåp, mikrovågsugn. Full storlek tvättmaskin och torktumlare, uppvärmt badrumsgolv, en gasvärmare och en kiva spis. Elektrisk plattavärmare i sovrummet, takfläktar. Premium sängkläder och en duntäcke och kuddar; en bekväm plysch / fast drottning madrass. Full sovhytt soffa med minne skum toppad madrass. Perfect place and location

This lovely unit is exactly as advertised. Such a great location right in town, parking on site, super clean, well-appointed kitchen and very comfortable. We will certainly stay here again.

Excellent location and charming casita in the heart of Taos

This secluded little casita is quaint and historic but tucked right in the heart of downtown Taos. It was well appointed to accommodate our family of 3 nicely. We loved the outdoor courtyard, wood floors, fireplace and heated bathroom floors. It was a treat to experience Taos here.

Quiet and stylish

The Best Casita was great! The location and parking were excellent, and the casita was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. It had all the modern conveniences with a nod to the original adobe. Loved entering through the peaceful courtyard.

Walkable to Taos Plaza

Good location near the main shopping Taos Plaza, and close to the main road (64), and walkable to several restaurants. Very clean unit and the sleeper sofa made the additional bed we needed. A nice bonus was the heated floors in the bathroom.

Super Host!

Marcus was a phenomenal host. He provided great recommendations for area attractions and dining. The location was fantastic and Marcus provided so many nice touches like wine, yogurt and tea. It was a lovely stay and we'll be sure to bookmark this condo for future trips!

Womderful Casita in Taos

My wife and I had a splendid five day holiday in Taos. We stayed at a beautiful one bedroom Casita a block from the Main Plaza. Marcus was a wonderful host and welcomed us upon our arrival. He showed us around the place and gave us great advice on things to do and places to eat in Taos. The Casita was extremely clean and comfortable and had all the amenities. We hope to come back!

The Padre Martinez property is perfect for our visits of two to three weeks. Marcus is a congenial and generous host/owner and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at this property.

Great Place

Everything at this place was high end, appliances, comfortable bed, towel and even a stocked pantry. Close to the plaza and many great eating places. Fun to shop and people watch. Had a wonderful time and would return. Marcus was wonderful, he even gave us some folding chairs to use, so we could go and sit in the plaza for the music concert on Thursday nights. 5+ stars!!!!!

Well appointed spot . I’ve stayed there twice now, and enjoyed it each time immensely. Close to the town square. Comfy bed. Walking distance to most things you’ll probably need . Recommend highly !

Beautiful and very Taos. The quiet courtyard was super delightful and relaxing. After relaxing, it's a short two minute stroll to the plaza! One of the best in town at a very reasonable rate.

Relaxing

Was met by the property owner and he showed us where everything was, gave suggestions on places to see. We were there for an Anniversary get away could not have asked for a better place to stay. We were a block from the Plaza and were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to go. Will most definitely stay here again.

Reviews and description are 100% accurate

Loved this place, very well equipped perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen is well stocked with quality pans and utensils, not the cheap stuff you usually find in rental properties, they even have a nespresso machine and provide capsules for your stay, nice touch! The one recommendation I have for the owners, it might be time to upgrade the sofa bed, not an issue for my two young kids, but maybe for older kids or adults. Location is in the heart of Taos. Would love to come back soon!!!!

Cozy Casita by the Plaza

This was a great place and I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again! It is extremely close to the plaza. Kitchen and pantry was very well stocked with all essentials. Kiva fireplace was excellent (especially on nights like we stayed were it was coming a blizzard outside). The hosts were great and could easily be contacted by phone or text throughout the stay. The welcome bottle of wine was a great addition!

Great Location

Excellent place to stay in Taos. Short walk to historic Plaza and restaurants. The unit was very clean and well appointed. Marcus was an excellent host. I'm the luckiest guy I know. I'm truly thankful to be a part of this beautiful community and also be able to travel often and far. I've been welcomed into people's homes all over the world, and though I've been fairly nomadic most of my life, now for the first time I have my own place, which I have renovated and am offering as a getaway for fellow travelers to enjoy.

I grew up in Snyder, Texas, surrounded by pump jacks and fields of cotton. In the summers when I was a kid, my family would pile into the Good Times van and hit the road for weeks, escaping the 110 degree West Texas heat: Vermont, Florida, Wyoming, northern California, and all in between. When I was fourteen I spent a summer in Germany on an exchange program, and since then I've been hooked on travel. I studied biology writing in college and after graduating worked for the Fish & Wildlife Department in Alaska for a summer. I then worked in Nicaragua as a carpenter for over a year and slowly made my way to Taos, New Mexico, where I've lived for almost thirteen years.

My most recent journey was a 16-month solo motorcycle trip around the world and to the bottom of Africa.

Taos has a lot to offer for a lover of the outdoors like myself. I spend a lot of time in the nearby mountains, skiing, hiking with my dogs, fishing, biking, and motorcycling. I've always enjoyed many sports, and I regularly play soccer, tennis, basketball, and volleyball.

Varför värden valde detta boende

I've always been somewhat of a nomad, but I've found my home base in Taos. I try to live simply and wanted a small but comfortable place in town, but I've never been attracted to typical condominiums. I wanted character and history, something with personality that I could make my own. I knew when I first saw it that this property was exactly what I had been looking for.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The location of Best Casa is remarkable. It is just far enough from the main roads that you can't tell your in the heart of Taos, but so close to the center that just about everything you need is within walking distance. The apartment itself has an old-world feel, with double adobe walls and classic mid-century windows. I've always thought of the kitchen as the heart of any home, and this kitchen is the focal point of the apartment; designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. Though the apartment still has a historic feel, it also features high-tech comforts that you won't find in most Taos adobes. You can access and control your music wirelessly through the entertainment system or send movies or videos from your portable device to the HDTV. The tile floor of the bathroom is heated (very nice for bare feet in the morning), and there's even a heated mirror that won't fog up after you take a shower.

When I completed the renovation, which took five months, I was very satisfied with the result, but I didn't truly fall in love with the place until I stayed there myself for a week. Best Casa is truly a hidden gem.
