Perfect Getaway Cabin!

Our family loved our time here!! Beautiful cabin with plenty of games for the kids. The pontoon rental was the icing on the cake. Wood Lake is a hidden gem.

Great cabin, view, and owners

We have been going to this lake for 40+ years through many generations and after we lost our last cabin we found this one. Hands down this is the best cabin we have ever stayed at with everything you need to enjoy fishing or recreation.

We enjoyed being on Wood Lake since our family once owned a cabin there. It was great to spend time with our whole family. Beautiful sunsets. And good fishing.

Great location

We love the location. The cabin was very comfortable and had all the amenities. The cabin was clean, and the pontoon worked great. The owners were very quick to respond with any concerns or questions. We have rented it 2 years in a row and both times we have had a great stay.

Great Property

Perfect private lot and accessible to everything you need because stores are just a few minutes away. This cabin has everything you need - paddle boards, swimming dock, fire pit, fully stocked kitchen and boat available to rent. Loved it!

We have stayed at this VRBO about 8 years and we always look forward to next years "cabin week". We always rent the pontoon for a sunset cruise around the lake. It is a five star for sure.

Beautiful cabin on an fantastic lake

This is a beautiful cabin with everything you need to enjoy the lake. They do have TV and internet if some in your group need that, but the main attraction is the fishing / pleasures of the lake. You can water ski, pontoon around,or fish. In the evening they have a firepit over looking the lake to reflect on your day. We hope to keep coming back for many years.

Great Cabin on a Great Lake!

We loved this cabin for our family. It had everything we needed and more. We had a 3 year old and 1 year old. The cabin was perfect for them to crawl and walk around. The outdoor space is perfect for yard games and relaxing. We loved the speaker system in the house and outside. We rented the pontoon and used it multiple times a day. Geoff and Katherine responded to any messages extremely fast.

Amazing family vacation

Such a great week spent on Big Wood Lake! The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. The pontoon was a great addition to our trip. Many fish caught off the dock and on the pontoon. Watching sunsets on the deck was beautiful! Geoffrey and Kathleen addressed all our questions in a timely manner. Hoping to book again next summer!

Fishing Getaway

My dad and I had a good time. Weather was very good for the most part. Beautiful sunsets. Pontoon was very nice..could have used a depth finder. Fishing was steady but a lot of small panfish and crappies. Cabin was spacious and clean. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend.

We are renting our family cabin. Our children have grown up on the lake and have learned to ski, wake-board, tube and fish on Big Wood Lake. They have gazed at the stars, told stories around the campfire and played endless games. Many memories have been created for our family, friends and relatives.
