Our family loved our stay up in Ely. The host is very helpful and has a great shop just up the road for all your fishing and exploring needs. The staff up there will give you all the info/supplies you need to enjoy your trip up north.

We enjoyed our stay at Basswood cabin! 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) fit comfortably. The grounds and location were great and the cabin was very clean - it smelled new! Would highly recommend to anybody traveling to the Ely area and looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay.

This was perfect little weekend getaway with aFew of our grandkids and to have it as a center point to take them to the wolf center one day and the bear center the next day plus we hiked around the local lake there in town and browsed the stores. Perfect.

The cabin is basically brand new, very cute, efficient use of space, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, pillows, etc., good hot water in the shower and good heater/air conditioning units in bedroom and living area, functional little kitchen area, plenty of light, nice screened porch, very convenient to the things we wanted to do. Though it is right near Hwy 169 it was quiet both day and night. We had a little trouble getting the key to work at first, but someone came over and helped us right away. The description of essentials provided is accurate (I didn't read it as carefully as I should have so I hadn't packed my own hair dryer but that was on me.) Other advice is set the bedroom heating/ac unit fan on low to minimize vibration hum at night, if that would effect you.

This is one of four lovely little cabins on the edge of Ely. The furnishings were very nice, the place was cared for, and it was very clean. Five of us stayed very comfortably for two nights. The cabin and furniture are beautifully made. Check-in was very easy with a lockbox with a code to access the key. The screened-in front porch and fire pit were nice to enjoy. If we had more time, we definitely would have used the canoe that comes with the cabin.

This property was a great base camp for a day trip into the Boundary Waters. We were hosting out of town family and our usual full canoe trip wasn’t a fit. We loved this tiny house, and it had everything we needed. We had 4 married couples plus a single and we all slept comfortably. The kitchen had what we needed to cook as well. The screen porch was generous in size, and was thoroughly enjoyed.

Very nice place! We had a blast during our stay. It was a tad smaller than we were expecting but it all turned out okay! Because we spent most of our stay out and about in Ely. Cozy and cute decor.
