Det har 4 rymliga sovrum, 1. 5 badrum, öppet kök / matsal och vardagsrum och vardagsrum. Stort däck i ryggen står inför Hunters Creek som matar in i Silver Lake. Uteplats möbler och en gasgrill för uteservering och lounging. Ta med din kajak och / eller kanot och paddla dig upp till Hunters Creek som rinner direkt in i den vackra Silver Lake! Om du inte har kajak eller båt kan du hyra en från The Wave Club. Vi ligger precis bredvid bron som korsar Hunters Creek. Bara en kort promenad över bron och upp en grusväg leder dig till Assoc. pool och lekplats. Bekvämt beläget bara en kilometer från ORV Silver Lake Sand Dune entré och bara 2 miles från Lake Michigan stränder, nära alla de roliga aktiviteter som Silver Lake har att erbjuda och på tre partier att erbjuda privatliv, också. Efter en hektisk dag på sanddynerna och / eller vid Lake Michigan, koppla av och varva ner vid eldstaden framför ett lägereld och se till att ta med kameran för att fånga våra fantastiska solnedgångar. The house was even better than advertised! We had so much space and we all slept great. The kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed the neighborhood park and pool and the proximity to activities like Craig's Cruisers was an added bonus. We would love to stay here again and make it a yearly tradition.

4th of July 2025

Great location! A short walk to watch the Fireworks over the dunes at the end of the street. Added amenities like the community pool and playground were great for our kids of all ages. Love all the seating/room accommodations for our extended family of 12 that fit great in the house. Mindy was very helpful when we arrived and easy to contact if we needed anything. Would love to come back to Silver Lake and stay here again!

Vacation

Nice location. Still close to all downtown attraction 7-10min walk, community pool. Set back off the street and away from most of the noise. Nice beds, and great host. Rebooked for next year.

Another GREAT Stay!

We have been lucky enough to stay at Mindy's house a couple of times now. The house and property are very large and accommodating of a large group or family. The owner (Mindy) is exceptional in her communication and co-ordination of making your stay worry free. We look forward to yet another return trip next year.

Our Happy Place is Happening

This property is at the center of all the activity! Walking distance to Silver Lake, community swimming pool and the main strip serving up food and family fun. This is our 2nd year staying at Our Happy Place and we truly enjoyed all it has to offer. Mindy is the absolute most welcoming and accommodating owner. We are already looking to book again next year.

Loved this house!

We had 8 adults and 2 kids….plenty of room for everyone! The beds were super comfortable. The furniture was super comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you’ll need. The front yard is huge and perfect for lawn games and squirt gun fights! We enjoyed the back deck and the kids liked trying to fish for the carp that came by at night. And the location is fantastic. Easy walk to the pool, Craig’s cruisers, and the lake. Easy drive to MacDunes, Pentwater and Ludington. Highly recommend this house!

Mindy is the best! We have stayed here numerous times and the house and Hostess are always delightful. They should have a 6th star for people and places like this one. Thanks again Mindy and we look forward to our next visit.

Great family spot

This is a great family vacation location! The house was perfect. The owner was quick to respond with any questions I had. There is so much to do in the area that was either walking distance or a few minutes drive. The yard is big for kids to plan on, has a nice fire pit, and a pool with playground a short distance away. One down fall was the pool hours they are closed Tuesdays and Thursdays and have limited hours on other days.

Perfect week!

We had a fantastic experience staying at Mindy’s home! The house was clean and beautiful. All the comforts of home and then some. We had a group of 4 adults and 6 children and we had plenty of room. The kids especially enjoyed the creek in the back yard and the short walk to the pool! We will definitely be doing it again next year. I highly recommend Mindy’s happy place!

Family Vacation

Our military family drove from CA to Silver Lake to have a family vacation with my brother, his family, and my mom and dad. That is a total of 11 people and we all fit just fine. The property is just a few minute walk to the rides, restaurants, and of course, gorgeous Silver Lake. Yet, it is nestled into a quiet community with a nice community pool. Mindy is a super nice lady and very accommodating during our stay. We look forward to staying again really soon!

Great location & Peaceful

This was an amazing property. The house was plenty large enough for 4 adults and 6 kids to hang out for a week. Located just the right walking distance to the main area of Silver Lakes mini putt, go karts, ice cream shops, etc. Also a very short drive to the dunes entrance. Lots of parking space and nice big yard for the kids to play outside. The deck off the back is big enough to hold everyone too. We sat outside almost every nite to look at the stars and enjoy the peace and quiet. Looking forward to booking again next year.

Our Happy Week

Our family really enjoyed our vacation at Our Happy Place. It is a lovely home in a great location. We especially loved the large deck overlooking the stream! A wonderful place for morning coffee, and we ended up eating most of our meals there as well. Inside, there was plenty of room to spread out. There were twelve of us and we never felt cramped. It was nice to be able to kayak down the stream into Silver Lake. The yard is very large and pretty, complete with a fire ring for campfires. Mindy is a great host and we are happy she is willing to share her lovely home!

Perfect placement

The house is situated far enough from town and off the road that it’s nice and quiet. Yet it’s close enough to town that a short walk or bike ride gets you there quickly. The house is very cozy, in the sense that it’s not a musty cottage. It’s nicely decorated and very well equipped. The kids loved that they could dunk our kayaks into the creek right out the back door of the house and off the deck. It was also a bonus to be able to use the garage to store our 9 bicycles while we were there. Mindy was very accommodating and a wonderful host!

A beautiful home and property. Spacious and contained everything you could ask for and more.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone. This was our first time renting through Home Away and Mindy (property owner) made it a wonderful experience. She made us feel right at home the moment we met her when we arrived. Her home is not only spacious and beautifully maintained but also has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The home is only minutes from the dune access making it easy for members of our group to go back an forth throughout the day but set off the main road enough to offer a peaceful setting. We enjoyed evenings sitting on the back deck watching ducks and fish in the water. It was a big relief to have plenty of room for parking the rzrs and trailers.

I love this home :)

We felt very fortunate to get this reservation in the winter for our summer vacation this past week. The pictures and reviews were great so our expectations were quite high. I have to say though, they were greatly exceeded :) This house is spacious, beautifully kept up and has a great up north feel to it. ALL the amenities and necessities are there, the beds were sooo comfortable, the yard is great for any activity, the deck and fire pit are large and private. The location is perfect and the pool is fantastic, Laying in a hammock by the stream was a dream. Launching our kayaks right off the deck to head to Silver Lake was another bonus. I cannot say enough great things about this property and the owner Mindy. It was exactly what we had hoped for and much more. We usually go to Silver Lake every 3-4 years, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else now.

Spacious and homey stay!

We just left this home after staying a week with 6 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of room for everyone. The living area was spacious, open and clean and with a second living room we could all spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge was big enough. There was plenty of bed space but the bedrooms were a little warm. There was a full bath with shower and a half bath but no tub. Outside the yard was huge and the playground and firepit got plenty of use. There was ample seating outside. The back porch was large with good seating too. It was very picturesque with stairs leading down to the waterway. The pool is just a short walk but has limited hours. The dunes are a very quick drive and downtown is a short walk or drive. A lot of things within walking distance or a short drive. There was plenty of area for parking and having access to the garage for storage was a big plus for us. We loved it!

My name is Mindy. I am a mom to 1 daughter and Nini to 2 grandsons. Happily Retired. Full-time Silver Lake resident. During the time that my home is being rented, I stay w/my daughter who also lives in Silver Lake.
“Our Happy Place” was built with love by my amazing parents, Lyle and Nancy. Each summer and on the holidays, the whole family would get together and fill this home to the brim with love and laughter! It continues to be the place where new memories are made. Sorry, but NO pets are allowed!
It’s important that those who are considering staying here to know that this is NOT a Frat house! So, if you’re looking for a place to be loud and raise HE##, find somewhere else to stay. My home is NOT the place for you.

*IMPORTANT, if you choose to rent my home*
*No pets allowed on the property at any time.
*Golden Twp is getting very strict on short term rentals.
*My home is approved to accommodate up to 12 people. No more than 12!
*A maximum of 6 vehicles, including trailers/haulers in the driveway.
*NO RV’s, motor homes or tents for extra guests.
*There is a 11 p.m. noise ordinance.
*You are responsible for any damages done to the property during your stay.
*You understand the rules. You will respect my home/property and that of my neighbors as well.
*If I receive complaints, it will be addressed and if it continues, police will be called and you will pack up and must leave immediately. No refunds.

Perfectly located in the middle of everything! If you click on the "map" section, it will show you where the property is located and the distance it is from Silver Lake, Lake Michigan, Mac Wood Dune Rides, Little Sauble Pointe Lighthouse and downtown Silver Lake. Our Happy Place is conveniently located close to everything, but offers privacy as well.
Once you are here, it is our hope that you feel as if you are at your "home away from home". This truly is Our Happy Place. Our family vacationed here for many years. One day, our parents purchased a lot on Hunter Creek. Through the years, the lots next door became available and mom and dad jumped at the chance...now they owned 3 lots. My dad and a few of his GM buddies lovingly built this home in the 90's. My parents retired to Silver Lake @ Our Happy Place and were able to enjoy it for many years. Today, "Our Happy Place" is being enjoyed by their kids, grand kids, great-grand kids, friends and guests, such as you and yours.
So, if you are looking for a great place to vacation with family and/or friends, then I truly believe my home is the right choice. As stated, we are part of the Silver Village Assoc. There is a 11:00 p.m., noise ordinance. So It is very important that those who choose to stay here are respectful of not only our home and the grounds, but also of our neighbor's as well. You are responsible for any damages to the property during your stay. Sorry, but NO pets are allowed!

Our Happy Place sits on 3 lots and Hunter Creek which feeds right into Silver Lake! Step inside and you will feel as if you are HOME. Open and spacious floor plan. 4 bedrooms, 1 full bath on the main floor and a 1/2 bath on the 2nd level. Nice and comfortable furniture and beds. Large deck in back with a gas grill and plenty of seating for outside dining and/or just relaxing. The 3 lots give you plenty of room for outdoor games and privacy, too.
Located right next to the private Silver Village Association pedestrian bridge that crosses over Hunter Creek, and just a short walk up the dirt road leads you to the private SVA Communal Pool and Playground. Also, Craig's Cruisers, The Chicken Shack, Dune Dippity, The Sand Restaurant, Silver Scoops, Silver Pointe Store, The Sandbox, Sun Chaser's and a few clothing and souvenir shops, too! Just a few minutes drive, you will find beautiful Silver Lake State Park. It welcomes boaters , swimmers and campers! Parkside Grocery is conveniently located across the street. Continue down the road about 3 miles, and a scenic winding road brings you to beautiful Lake Michigan and Little Sable Pointe Lighthouse. We have the most breathtaking sunsets!
The town of Hart is just 8 miles from Silver Lake. In Hart, you will find Hansen Foods, Dollar General, banking, shopping, LaFiesta, the Pink Elephant restaurants and the famous LaProbadita which offers authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. McDonald's, Big Hart Brewery, Charlie’s Family Restaurant and Subway, too! The quaint town of Pentwater is less than 15 miles away. In Pentwater, you will find numerous places to shop and dine. A beautiful state park, and fishing charters, too!
