First of all, we had to message the host, call the host, and then call VRBO directly to get the access code that states it will be provided 24 hours prior to arrival. We did not receive the access code until after check-in time at 3:00. We weren’t arriving until later so not a huge issue but still should have been our first red flag. Second, the directions we were given to enter the property through the garage. There isn’t a key pad to enter the property through the garage. After 30 minutes of trying to figure out how to get in, my husband walked out the gate, and around the entire building to the front door. The host stated there was a remote for the garage door (which was broken, but host did tell us about that, so not a huge deal) and gate but there was not a remote to be found anywhere. There aren’t any washcloths so be sure to take your own. The downstairs bathroom lights did not work at all and no towels were provided so my parents showered in the dark. The decor above the bed in the downstairs bathroom fell down on top of my parents in the middle of the night which the host stated was due to the “train and gravity”. We had a spill in the kitchen, no paper towels to clean it up with were provided. None of the bathroom trash had been taken out from the previous guest and there was spit/toothpaste on the mirror as well and the shower door in the master was not clean at all. We booked 2 nights and only stayed one. There’s also a train that blows through all night.

I had the best experience staying here for my birthday weekend! The place was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The location was perfect and made it easy to get around Houston. My guests and I felt right at home, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches that made the space even more welcoming. Communication with Trey was excellent and super friendly, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would definitely book again next time I’m in Houston!
