Comfortable condo

We stayed here with our 3 teenagers for 3 nights. My daughter slept on the pull out couch which she said was quite comfortable. Unit is air-conditioned. The kitchen was well stocked - but no kettle for boiling water for tea. (We used a saucepan.) Laundry available for $1.50 a load in the foyer of the elevator area. Very quiet, nice pool, helpful staff, cozy and comfortable. We did not get the wind at all. Lovely to sit out in the sun on the Lanai. This is in the Makaha area (West Oahu) by famous big surf beach - loved sitting on beach watching the surfers.

The drive to the property is not a good one. You drive through pretty rough areas to get to the property. The listing states there is beautiful beaches minutes away but does not state that they have been taken over by the homeless and each beach is actually a homeless encampment. The sheets in the master bedroom were dirty upon our arrival and the walls in the entire condo are filthy. We contact the property management company who then contacted the owners and we were told they would not do anything about it. We made the decision to leave as we did not feel safe and could not sleep in a dirty place and ended up at the hotel near by. I want to warn anyone who plans to rent this place that it is not anything like what is listed.

Makaha towers

This property is a perfect spot for exploring the island. Peaceful and still plenty of things to see and do, If you don’t mind driving a bit. Stayed 10 days and explored the island. Would stay on west side again if we return ( which I’m sure we will:). East side and north shore were beautiful but too busy for our liking. Was nice to come back to the peacefulness of this area. Went whale watching from marina just 10 minutes away. Seen several whales and 2 dolphins and went snorkeling with sea turtles. Would highly recommend Dolphin excursions snorkel adventures. Our all women crew were the best.

Family trip

In general, it was great. The condo is absolutely the same as the pictures and my family and I were impressed that there were some beneficial items to enjoy the beach. There were enough towels, snorkeling equipment, and clean bedrooms. However, as the building is high and located in a valley, it’s difficult to deal with sleeping at night as the wind is too strong. It may be depending on the season. Yet, the place is overall great.

Breathtaking Ocean and Mtn Views

My family (4) including our daughter who attends UH, spent part of our Thanksgiving vacation here in Makaha Valley Towers. It was our first stay out of Wakiki and it was great. The condo was perfect. Fully stocked with everything we needed. It literally had EVERYTHING! Just like home..The beds were comfortable, and the views from the balcony were unbelievable. Golfing in the am before starting our day was great. The golf course was close and there are beaches and beach parks that are close as well. I cant say enough about the view. We did do some excursions this trip, so just know you are about an hour away from most locations. We knew that going in, so it was perfect. But really if you want to just relax at the pool or bbq or take in the views , you would never have to leave. Also don't get discouraged with the surrounding neighborhoods on your way to the towers. It is a local vibe and not a touristy vibe. We tried a local restaurant Coquitos and the food was great! There is also a guidr/info book in the condo with lists of suggestions. The greatest View ever

This was by far the cleanest apartment we have stayed in. Nothing in the apartment was old or worn which makes the stay so much more comfortable. We found everything we needed incl. beach chairs. The view is simply amazing and it is absolutely quiet.

Happy in Hawaii

It looks a little tougher on the outside than the pic but still a beautiful piece of property nestled in the mountains of the Westside. We were so happy when we entered the condo. Looks just like the online pictures, clean, spacious for the 5 of us, and a great view! It was quiet and the staff of the Towers were very friendly and helpful. We were so happy to have such a wonderful home away from home. For us, it was worth the trip out into the country and if we didn’t have business in town we would’ve been content to just stay local and hang out at the condo and surrounding areas. We’ll be sure to check this place out again, much Mahalo for the great experience!

Our stay at the towers

Our family had a wonderful 2 weeks in Makaha! The condo exceeded our expectations with all the extra amenities that were provided. The availability of beach equipment made it easy for us, as we did not have to pack not rent any gear for our 3 young children. Elevator access was perfect for my older mom and we loved sitting out on the balcony drinking our coffee every morning. The view was spectacular, both mountains and ocean. We were really very impressed with how secure the grounds were, with employees being so helpful and friendly. Peacocks squawking was tolerable, and kind of neat to see wildlife roaming around, including the wild boar we came across while coming home later in the evening. Thank you for making our stay such a memorable one!

The Derby, Birthday, Family and Friends

Details, details, details! Owner thought of everything, even picnic supplies. The condo is immaculate yet very comfortable (kudos to the cleaning crew) View off the chart! One of the BEST in The Towers. Communicating with owner, and on site assistant a breeze. Security gate/guards were delightful (we did have our paperwork) and office staff most helpful with parking pass. Found new restaurants close by (been going to Makaha since 1981) great food! Enjoyed beautiful Makaha beaches, (condo has beach chairs, beach toys, towels, cooler). We brought the Prosecco! Mahalo for sharing your beautiful Makaha home. Looking forward to staying here again. Fabulous holiday on the West end.

Makaha Towers

It was a very nice place to stay. Clean and everything was well stocked, from the kitchen and bathroom to the beach chairs,etc. stored in the closets. Great view from balcony! We would definitely return.

A slice of heaven

We love Makaha towers We have stayed in five units here , this by far as been our favorite unit You needed for nothing, the host most gracious. You didnt even need the air conditioning . We would open the balcony doors cracked the windows in the second bedroom and a wonderful breeze would come through 2 nice Smart TVs . We loved having use of the lanai . Very comfortable. We will definitely be back Gina and Jim

Wonderful and Relaxing with a Great View

My husband and I stayed in this condo and had a wonderful time! We have stayed in the Makaha Towers before and we’re so happy to be able to return. It was so relaxing and we had no issues at all during our stay. We had an amazing view and loved having a balcony to go out onto to drink our coffee or have a sunset dinner. The owner was very easy to contact throughout the entire process. There were many items in the condo for us to use during our stay there that I don’t remember being in the past condo we stayed in. Such as beach chairs and an umbrella and even smaller items like coffee filters and trashbags. Being that we were on the 15th floor there was a wind draft but we just would crack the balcony door if needed and that fixed the problem. I slept great every night and would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Vacation retreat

We booked this condo for 11 days in December 2018 and very much enjoyed our entire stay. We’ve stayed at the Makaha Valley Towers numerous times over the past and love the gorgeous setting, peaceful location, lovely saltwater pool, great security, and the beautiful peacocks roaming the area. The holiday decorations and lights at night throughout the complex were a delight to see during our stay in December. The condo was extremely clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and quite cozy. All of the beds were comfortable as well. The view from the condo (15th floor) was amazing – gorgeous mountain views and an expansive view down the lush green valley to the Pacific Ocean. The condo was very well-appointed and well-stocked, with everything you’d need for cooking, relaxing, and trips to the beach. The owner of the condo was very responsive and thoughtful from the very beginning of the booking through checkout. We would definitely stay here again.

Well Appointed Condo

Very Nice Condo! They thought of everything and were generous with amenities and accommodating our island vacation. I would stay here again. It was so nice to have all the little details thought of and a well stocked kitchen. I appreciate the beach gear in the closet as well!

Beautiful, clean and quiet

Beautiful grounds, quiet and safe. Only downfall is the wind draft. BC the condo was built bwedge in between the ocean and the mountain ranges, when the sea pushes the wind, it traps the wind between the condo and mountain range, cause strong wind draft when we walk in the balcony, and towards our condo. The wind can be heard loudly at night, especially when there was a storm which can seem scary if you're not used to it. I thought at some point the wind was going to blow us off the balcony, but on many occassion, if we left the window open for the second bedroom, the wind would blow the curtin out into the floor. The other two bad things about this place was it was an hour away from all the touristy things. We spent more time driving to our destination instead of enjoying them. And lastly, this unit did not have a vent for the bathroom. With no windows or vents in the bathroom, it makes using the bathroom very uncomfortable especially if you're sharing the unit with other adults, you have to open the bathroom door when showering and everyone can hear your business when you use the bathroom. Other than those 3 things, the condo was comfortable and beautiful.

Perfect place to vacation!

This condo met all of our expectations and more, the west side of Oahu was beautiful and the beaches were stunning. Great view from the balcony for sunrise and sunset! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

The condo met all of our expectations. Close to everything and the ocean view is marvelous! Our family had an excellent time! Loved the lanai and the peacocks!
