Två rum, "upstair" -sviten i Flintstone, GA, som är ett lugnt, landsbygdssamhälle som ligger vid foten av Lookout Mountain och bara en vacker bilresa 10 miles från Chattanooga centrum; riverfront; TN Aquarium; Coolidge Park; massor av bra restauranger och många andra utomhus sevärdheter och aktiviteter. Vår plats är en privat övervåningsenhet som nås via huvudhuset (bakdörren) men bara ett kort avstånd till trappan. Stegen är mycket väl upplysta med en handstång men är lite branta. Enheten kan sova fem (queen size-säng, en hopfällbar dubbelsäng med en vanlig tvåbäddsmadrass och en dubbel futon - alla är mycket bekväma), med off road parkering och en väl upplyst ingång. Vi tillhandahåller vatten, juice, yoghurt, havremjöl och kaffe till frukost. Det finns en mikrovågsugn, minikyl, kaffebryggare, ishink, tallrikar, bestick och till och med en korkskruv. Bekvämt för Iron Man Course, Riverbend Festival, Fall Foliage Festivaler, många cykellopp, Ironman, UTC, Covenant College och flera populära ladugårdsbröllop & evenemangsplatser. Det finns också massor av levande musikplatser.

Super comfortable and great location

Our hosts were very kind and helpful with info on local areas. The beds were super comfortable, which is not always the case with some VRBOs. Amenities were all there as needed...and it had a great shower. It was quiet and was perfect for a writers' weekend get away. Our book is nearly complete now!

Flintstone GA comfy stay

Yvonne and Jim are some of the friendliest, most accommodating hosts that I’ve had. The Roost is a quaint home away from home. Very clean, well stocked and comfortable. Even though the Roost is upstairs in their home, we had so much privacy, didn’t see them except for the first and last day, it was a space to ourselves. We will be staying again!

Perfect and so affordable!

We enjoyed everything about our stay! The owners are so kind and the space was just perfect for a quick girl's weekend away! We will definitely be back to visit! Cozy little place

The owners were great and very helpful with reviews of local things to do. It’s a perfect location for lookout mountain, Chattanooga downtown and plenty of hiking trails all around. The rooms we stayed in were nice and clean. Very cozy. I would stay here again on our next visit to the area. 5 Stars easily.

Welcoming Hosts and Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay in Flintstone. The hosts are very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The apartment perfectly fit our needs. The beds were comfortable, the snacks were a great perk, and the area is quiet and safe. The area is beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay!

Comfortable and cozy

Staying at the Roost was a fantastic experience! Yvonne and Jim are so welcoming, and they really have thought of everything to make the place feel like home. Our first VRBO

We had an excellent, multi-night stay at The Roost! All five beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the teenagers appreciated the snacks. Easy to find and felt safe and homey. Host communication was top-notch. We would definitely visit again if we’re back in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Yvonne and Jim!

The Roost is great!

Our stay at The Roost was fantastic! There was plenty of space for our group of four of 2 adults and two teens. There were comfy beds, a nice work space to do homework, games for unwinding, plenty of snacks/cocoa for a special treat, and the hosts were really sweet and informative. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Want to feel like you're at home?! Stay here!

I felt like I was at home! Yvonne and Jim made sure you felt welcomed and any needs were met. The Roost was located in a nice and quiet location, perfect for a relaxing getaway! I appreciated that Yvonne had snacks and drinks (coffee, juice) provided for us already stocked in our fridge. I would stay here again in an instant!

Wonderful Stay!

I cannot say enough about the Roost. The property is so beautiful and the home is warm and comforting. Yvonne met us outside to greet us and is just a light in a dark world kind of person. Their back deck is super cute to sip wine or coffee. The stairs up to the space are steep - but Yvonne volunteered her husband to carry any of our heavy luggage. Upstairs the space is gorgeous! It is NOTHING like an attic and it is spotless! So clean! It's very spacious (the ceiling in places is low, but not a big issue for short people like me). The beds and futon are comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The ac/heating unit works amazing. Yvonne even provided a small fan to have white noise. The bathroom is larger than I thought it would be with plenty of towels and a hair dryer. What I think was the best is the little items she provides. Biscotti for the coffee, crackers, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, tea etc. It was perfectly set up with room to eat at a table and the fridge is perfect and stocked with juice and yogurt. There is a small water cooler to use for drinking and to make coffee. Another amazing touch was Yvonne would NOT allow us to do our own dishes. She asked that you place them in a small dishwashing basin and leave them downstairs in her kitchen. We said we were perfectly able to wash-up after ourselves and she would not have it! She said she was there to take care of us. :) We enjoyed our stay so very much. The area is beautiful and super close to Chattanooga. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Yvonne and Jim!!!

The Roost is a lovely place to nest for the night

The apartment is quaint, cozy, and clean. The beds are very comfy and the stocked fridge and munchies is such a nice touch. We were always so pleased to return to the Roost at night after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. It really felt like coming home. The owners are so warm and hospitable, we instantly felt like they were long-time friends. We hope to come back to the Roost again!

Quick trip with the kids

We had a quick post-Christmas getaway. The location was super convenient to Chattanooga but in a very quiet neighborhood. Yvonne & Jim were so friendly! We loved The Roost and would definitely stay again!!

A pleasant stay

We had a great stay at this rental. We stayed in what they call the roost, which is the attic. It was spacious and very clean. The hosts were very friendly. We we were in close proximity to everything we wanted to see and do, which was all in Chattanooga. I'd definitely stay here again.

Just what we needed!

Yvonne and Jim’s place was perfect for us! We had a class all weekend and it was so nice to come back to a peaceful, cozy spot. They provided everything we could have needed and more. They went above and beyond with snacks and drinks! Meeting Their dog Fergie was additional bonus!!

great location

We visited several sites during our short stay due to everything being so close. The owners were wonderful and helpful. The only thing that made our days not so great was the fact the room is in the attic type space of the house. Look at photos very carefully. My husband is tall and could barely walk along the one side of the room ( hit his head a lot).

Home away from home

Such a very nice place to spend a few days away from our usual life. Yvonne is a very nice host!🥰. She welcomed us to her home and showed us things to do around town. Our room smelled good, spotless and well furnished and decorated. The refrigerator is stocked with bottled water and orange juice. There are biscottis, crackers, and oatmeal available also. The coffee ☕️ was very good too! Jim and Yvonne’s world explorations made us connect with them as we exchanged our own travel experiences. I told Yvonne that they have a very big heart and strong faith to welcome strangers (like us) to their beautiful home. We will definitely be back! P.S. Fergie (the brown lab) is a very sweet dog.

Yvonne & James went above and beyond to make our stay so very pleasant.

Renting this property was an Awesome experience. They are so centrally located to everything. And what we weren’t sure of they knew what it was that we were looking for and we able to give us directions. We definitely recommend renting from Yvonne and James...

Travelers since 2015 but hosts since September 2017, Yvonne and her husband Jim enjoy life, family, friends and meeting new people. We enjoy diversity and cultural experiences of all kinds. Learning about other cultures has always been important to us. This is expressed in our love of traveling to London, Paris, Spain, Kenya, Haiti, Jamaica, Japan & Sri Lanka.

But closer to home, we are blessed with three grown children, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law and "currently" eight, make that nine now beautiful grandchildren !!! We are the happiest when we are hosting family gatherings around a meal; whether in the dining room, an outdoor yard party or hot dogs and s'mores around the campfire.

Throughout our many years, we have both work in service oriented jobs because we enjoy taking care of and providing help to others. Most of all we are blessed with sharing life together for 40 years ........ and we still love one another immensely.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our home is located in rural Flintstone but only 10 miles from Chattanooga, TN. We can sit on the back-porch while listening to the crickets and cows. We are located away from the hustle and bustle of town but only a 15 minutes drive to many great restaurants, outdoor sports & events, and many wedding & music venues.
Our home is an old farm house built in 1922 with a very comfortable and homey feeling and we want to share with others. We enjoying meeting people and especially want to enhance their vacation/stay by making The Roost comfortable and clean. But because it was built in 1922, the steps to the unit are steep.

Our home/apt. is on an acre of property, which is plenty of room for our grandchildren to enjoy. With it being an old farm house, it's not perfect but it's our home. We're not afraid of roller skates on our wood floors, mud pies on the walkway or chalk art on the driveway. We enjoy art work and the beauty of creation with many plants (in the summer :) as expressed with our sculptures and in our walkway. We also have a beautiful view of Lookout Mountain.
