Family stay second year in a row

We stayed at the property last summer and enjoyed our stay so much we decided to book again for this year. However, there were some things last year we chose not to say anything about, thinking they were just overlooked. Though, this year, some items were in poorer condition versus last year.

Relaxing stay at the lake

We had a lovely week at the lake house. It was very clean and comfortable. There were four kayaks available for us to use and also a very nice firepit. Nice deck over the water to listen to the waves. We spent a lot of time in the sunroom.

Our Yearly Lake Trip

We have been coming to this beautiful lake home for 3 years and will continue to be back. The house is well stocked and clean. It is in a perfect location for outings and walks around the town (we use the playground and tennis courts a lot). Lori is extremely easy to communicate with and ensures a seamless stay. I highly recommend this property.

Lake House on Seneca

The property was very clean and ready for our arrival. Nice, quiet setting right on the lake. We were able to dock our pontoon boat right there, which was wonderful! Enjoyed fishing off the dock and a fire each night. On our first full day, we found that the refrigerator was not very cold so we contacted the owner. We figured that out, using the wine fridge and a dorm sized fridge. But on our last day, we were contacted that a new fridge was arriving, prior to us checking out. This interrupted our plans for that morning, wasting our last day there. We certainly understood the need for replacing it for the next renters, but it was at our expense. When we contacted the owner regarding this, we never received a response. This was a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable week at the lake.

Perfect place to relax

A perfect place to share with family. Every gadget you need to create great meals with lots of plates, bowls, silverware and pots/pans. Water so relaxing, having the use of kayaks and life jackets was a great bonus. The water is shallow at lake edge so looking for beach glass and playing in the water was nice. Swimming off the end of dock nice because we could stand and kids could jump in. The porch was great for morning coffee, games at the table and evening cocktails. Wineries and breweries close by for visiting. Great place to land for vacation.

Perfect stay on the lake

We've rented several houses on Lake Geneva, and this was by far the nicest. The house was immaculate and exactly as described. The communication with the owners before and during the stay was excellent. Most importantly, this is not a cookie cutter rental. It's a house that the people live in when it's not being rented, and it shows. I hope we will have the chance to stay here again.

Family Trip

We bring my sister-in-law up to the finger lakes every year for a family reunion. Love to stay at the lake house as you can get no closer to the lake. Excellent as always.

Amazing Lake House

This home ticked off every box for us. Charm, immaculately clean, comfortable, amenities and location. Everything we wanted to do was within our reach. The owner, Lori, was incredibly helpful with winery and restaurant suggestions which were thoroughly enjoyed by us. What I will miss most is the early cool mornings, enjoying coffee and conversation with my daughters around the fire pit on the beach looking out over beautiful Seneca Lake. Total peace, love and tranquility. You will have no regrets if you choose to stay here. I know i will be back. Thank you Lori and Eric for sharing your lovely home.

Seneca Lake family trip

Excellent property, even better than what the photos depict. Perfect location on the west side of Seneca Lake. Short drives to both Geneva, Watkins Glen, and Penn Yan. Breweries and wineries are located very close to the property. Lori was very responsive and helpful with any questions we sent her way. Beautiful views of the lake. Multiple outdoor sitting areas. Used the waterfront fire pit a few nights. Enjoyed the kayaks that are provided. Already booked a longer stay in 2024. Thank you!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at the property! The house was clean and had everything we needed to have a fun week at the lake. We spent a lot of time on the sun porch. The kayaks were so much fun. We will miss floating in the lake and sipping wine on the dock!

Perfect place for our family

House was clean, check in and out were easy. Our toddler loved the sand pit and we loved looking for rocks and sea glass in the beach areas as well as having our morning coffee on the deck. Would definitely stay again, great location!

Family vacation

We had a great time at Lori and Eric’s lake house. The house was exceptionally clean! The kitchen was well stocked and they left a binder filled with great information about the area. Lori and Eric were quick to respond to emails and texts. We had a death in our family right before our vacation. Lori was so supportive during this difficult time. We truly appreciated her kindness ❤️. Lori and Eric are the best of the best! We highly recommend this house to any family looking to get away for a week to relax, go fishing, visit wineries, go on bike rides and hikes. Thank you Lori and Eric!

Girls Week

The home was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing girls week away. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioners worked great at keeping the home cool, the house layout was perfect. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the dock and games in the enclosed porch overlooking the lake. Lori was great with communication and answering any questions we had. We ventured out to wineries (we were surprised that most close at 5:00 which we were not accustomed to) and down to Watkins Glen State Park which was beautiful. We enjoyed hanging out at the house, kayaking and soaking in the sun as well. Thanks for "lending" us your home for the week Lori.... we loved it.

Great rental & location!

My husband and I rented this beautiful cottage right on Seneca Lake. The property and home are well cared for and super clean! Communication with Lori & Eric was fantastic! Kitchen was well equipped. Cottage was nicely updated. Sunroom sits right on the water with windows all around for a full view. They have 4 kayaks and plenty of lifejackets for enjoying the lake. We were there with our two adult sons and daughter-in-law and were very comfortable in the 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home. The A/C units in the bedrooms and downstairs kept the cottage nice and cool. We could have easily stayed another week! So much to do in the area with wineries, breweries and cideries in abundance and the nice shops and restaurants in Penn Yan and Watkins Glen. The Windmill Market is near by and a fun stop on a Saturday. Thank you so much Lori & Eric for sharing your beautiful home with us and for all your hospitality.

Second Year...Second Fantastic Get-Away

This was our second time renting from Lori and Eric, and we had another exceptional week. The house is a quaint lakeside house with an exceptional easterly view over Seneca Lake. For us the location is perfect as it provides a quiet retreat where we "disappear" for a week and avoid the distractions of our normally hectic lives. The house has a well equipped kitchen...very important for us since we like to cook...comfortable rooms, and a cozy gas fireplace (I believe new over the past year) in the living room area that helped stave off the chill from the evening breeze off the lake. Kayaking, hiking up the gorge in Watkins Glen, restaurants near Geneva and Penn Yan, and plenty of wineries and micro-breweries are nearby to sample. An excellent area and a most inviting property. We will certainly be back again. Thanks to Lori and Eric for a great week!

Tranquil Retreat

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The best part of this house was being by the water. Waking up in the morning and walking over to the firepit area, with a cup of coffee was the highlight of most of my mornings. The area was very quiet and serene and one of our guests took daily walks around the neighborhood and even met a few neighbors who was truly very sweet. The house was perfect for us two traveling couples and I have to say the best room was the one with the full size bed and bunkbeds, as it overlooked the lake and sent calming wave sounds into the room at all hours of the day. Unfortunately, I gave that room up, but I know better for next time. The heating system was perfect for one of the days where the temperature dropped to 34 degrees. Supermarkets were also pretty close to grab some last minute household items. I think our only issue was connectivity to internet and confusion on the garbage bags; color and type. We had planned on having a movie night while we worked on a puzzle, but the cable/internet kept kicking us off, so we just drank wine and sat by the fire instead. Not too shabby. And we eventually (I hope) figured out the garbage bag situation. We never had a need to reach out to the Property Manager, because everything else was pretty self explanatory. Overall we had a pretty wonderful time. Thanks again for letting us stay at your home! :)

Great place to getaway!

I highly recommend this house, especially if you like to relax near the lake. Very clean and incredible views of the lake. Access to kayaks and a pier was a plus. Host stayed in touch and was quick to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Property

Amenities were wonderful as was the bed. The porch inside and overlooking the water is great for meals or just relaxing. Used the outdoor fire pit 3 times which was lovely. I would suggest the owners provide a starter bundle of dry firewood to start people off as a nice amenity. Owners were super nice and were able to accommodate a late check out on our last day especially since the weather did not cooperate the first two days. Only thing people should note is property is right next to neighbor properties so it can get a little noisy when your neighbors are out and about with the kids. But definitely will come back again regardless. Price was right as well.
