Aloha!
Vi är Keone och Yonnell Farias. Vi var båda födda och uppvuxna här på denna underbara ö. Vi välkomnar dig till vårt vackra nya hem och skulle gärna dela med dig av våra favoritplatser. Beläget i ett lugnt område i Waiakea Uka, är vi en kort 10 minuters bilresa från flygplatsen, 35 minuter till vulkanen, och bara några minuter från lokala livsmedelsbutiker och matställen!
Waiākea Uka är översatt "bergsidan" av Waiākea. Det finns vacker utsikt över både Mauna Kea och Mauna Loa Mountain. University of Hawaii på Hilo ligger också i Waiākea-distriktet. Det finns parker och närbutiker med gångavstånd till huset men en bil skulle vara mer lämplig.

Great location to downtown, falls and 40 minutes from Volcanic park. Host was very proactive especially with the hurricane before we came. Comfortable stay with lots of frog and bird sounds.

This property is exactly as described in the listing. It is spacious, comfortable and welcoming. It is contemporary in its furnishings and layout and felt like home. The hosts were super easy to work with and very responsive to our messages. It is located in a good neighborhood. Definitely worth a serious look if you are visiting Hilo. Parking in the garage was a real bonus.

Everything about our stay was awesome! The place was very clean, and the check-in process was super smooth and easy. Communication with the owners was also excellent—they were very responsive and easy to work with. The rooms were a little warm, but there were plenty of fans readily available throughout the house, which was really helpful. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely book this place again if it’s available. Highly recommend!

As far as a VRBO this was excellent, however is is in the middle of a community. Not shocked by that, just since there is no air conditioning, you need to leave the windows open, with mostly sheer curtains in the house it makes for very little privacy in the evenings. Otherwise it was very clean, well stocked, easy to check in and the host was very friendly and always responded very quickly.

This beautiful, well-equipped house was perfectly located for activities in the Hilo area. Just by looking at the map, it might not be obvious, but the home was situated for an easy ride to Volcanoes National Park, Akaka Falls, the wonderful Tropical Botanical Gardens, and just under ten minutes to downtown Hilo with its farmers' market and my favorite restaurant in town - Pineapples. The king-sized beds were very comfortable and there were many small amenities that showed that the owners really cared about how their guest would feel while staying in their home. I get to Hilo fairly often, and now I've found the place to stay for all my visits in the future.

We were in Hilo for two short nights to see and hike the volcanos. Rained the entire time, but we didn’t let that stop us. The house was perfect for our family. We truly just slept there, but it had everything needed to cook and relax. Good location. Approximately 45-50 minutes to the volcano and about 10-15 minutes to all shopping and dining in Hilo.

Amazing stay

My family and I had an amazing stay at Uhi Wai. The unit is so clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the owner was very communicative and easy to reach throughout our stay.

We stayed here with our family for an Easter weekend. It was the perfect place to stay for a weekend on Hilo! It's in a safe, quiet neighborhood that's centrally located if you're looking to enjoy any of the sites local to the east side of the island.We particularly enjoyed the gourmet kitchen, where we were able to grab fresh produce from the Hilo Farmers Market and whip up some great food with the kitchen supplies they had in the house. Felt like we were in our own kitchen.The hosts were very communicative and you could see the attention to detail they spent making their house the perfect place for families looking for a Hawaii retreat. I'm counting the days until I can book another stay!

Yonelle & Keone were excellent hosts for our family vacation to Hilo. The home was well stocked with all the essentials we needed & we were welcomed with a sweet gift bag of goodies. Sooooo nice

We traveled with our adult kids so we really enjoyed the space to spread out. This home is very nice. The beds were comfortable and even though we didn’t cook, the kitchen was very well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Quiet Location

This was a great stay for my father and I on a trip to see the Volcanos and Mauna Kea. We were there for two nights and enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet place to stay. With the windows open, you could hear the birds which was nice when compared to a hotel. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

Fantastic home in a convenient location

We loved our stay - beautiful, newer home with all the amenities we needed. The location was super convenient to visit family in the area, and the hosts were fantastic (and very understanding when we forgot to leave the garage door opener - luckily we got it back). We hope to return on a future trip. Highly recommended.
