Willow Lodge är en mysig stuga med tre sovrum, som ligger inbäddat i skogskanten på en arbetsgård, Primrose Dale. Det är bekvämt beläget bara 11 miles från historiska Gettysburg, 45 miles från Hershey Park, 70 miles från Lancaster amish land, 37 km från Ski Liberty och 30 miles från Ski Roundtop and Mountain Resort. Stugan är fullt möblerad med tre bäddar (en i full storlek och två tvillingar) som rymmer fyra (4) personer och två barnsängar (med madrasser) som rymmer två (2) personer. Max antal personer är sex (6) personer. [Observera att priset på $ 110 per natt är baserat på fyra personer. Lägg till ytterligare $ 10. 00 / natt för varje ytterligare person över de fyra upp till högst sex. Barnsängar tillhandahålls endast på reservationer för fem eller sex personer]. Stugan har två fulla bad med sängkläder, matplats och kök med spis, ugn, mikrovågsugn, kylskåp, brödrost, kaffebryggare och alla grytor, kokkärl, bestick och disk som behövs för att tillgodose alla dina matbehov. En tvättmaskin och torktumlare i full storlek ingår också direkt utanför den stora matplatsen. Det är verkligen en plats att "komma ifrån allt", det finns inget WIFI tillgängligt men åtkomst till internet eller din e-post kan göras enkelt med en smartphone. Det finns inte heller någon TV. Böcker, brädspel, spelkort och djurliv är de viktigaste formerna för underhållning här på gården. Tillgänglig för användning oktober till mars, är en liten fungerande öppen spis i vardagsrummet som ger gästerna en mysig atmosfär medan du tar kyla ur en sval höst eller kall vinterkväll. Under månaderna april till november finns ett picknickbord och kolgrill (kol ingår ej) bakom huset med en vacker utsikt över gården och pittoreska södra bergen. Bredvid picknickbordet finns en inbjudande eldstad där gästerna kan koppla av medan de njuter av en kvällsdryck, trevlig konversation eller en lugn stund. En särskilt välkomnande funktion efter en lång dag med sightseeing eller andra aktiviteter i området. Uteservering tillhandahålls av ägarna endast april till november. Gästerna måste leverera sin egen ved till utomhuseldstaden och inomhusspisen eftersom den inte finns i eller runt fastigheten.

Great

We loved it. But be prepared for no WiFi. That was fine once we realized. We played board games and sat by the fire. Very clean and so cute. It reminded me of the house my grandparents had in upstate PA.

A lovely escape :)

My friends and I stayed at willow lodge while attending a wedding near by and this was a wonderful place to return to after long days of set up. Both Wendy and Larry were wonderful hosts who provided a wonderful home and were very easy to communicate with. While our cell service was spotty (no fault with the hosts, just our providers) we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you again Wendy and Larry for extending your home to us ;)

Amazing

The property was everything they said it would be in the listing. Beautiful location. The house was perfect and we liked that there was no television or Internet, it was nice to unplug and hang out with our family. The property owners were so gracious and welcoming. Close to Gettysburg and everything we wanted to do on our vacation. Could not have been happier!

Peaceful and relaxing get away

My kids, mother, and I stayed at Willow Lodge. It exceeded our expectations. It was clean, quiet, and a great place to disconnect from the craziness of life. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the view of the wildlife around us.

Home away from home

A wonderful place to stay!! Clean, beautiful, inviting, and comfy.. highly recommend!! If i come back to Pennsylvania i will definitely stay here again.. i appreciate that the owner sat down and hand wrote a welcome letter, that meant a lot. The property felt like home to me. Everything was absolutely perfect!!

Lovely Farm Cottage

My wife, son, father-in-law and I stayed here over a weekend in May because my older son was graduating from Gettysburg. It was a great little place just 10-15 minutes from the college, but set on acres of land away from the bustle and noise of town. Very peaceful, enough room for the 4 of us. If I were planning on returning to Gettysburg anytime soon (although we're not, now that he's graduated), I'd happily stay here again. Very reasonable rate, especially compared to area hotels. Owners were very communicative from the outset. The only very minor note is that telling people you're only supplying one roll of toilet paper per bathroom seems a little stingy. But overall, great place.

Laid back, great place to relax, use the fire pit, trek around and do some local day trips. AWESOME Mennonite market in Chambersburg, Jim’s Market, the Round Barn is close by, Harrisburg isn’t that far.

Trip down memory lane

First time back to Gettysburg in 23 years. Grandparents used to take my siblings and I when we were kids. This trip I was able to take my 86 year old grandfather and mother. The Willow Lodge was great! Cozy camp feeling that made us feel right at home!

Peaceful getaway

My friends and I get together for an annual girls' trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which is surrounded by the beauty of nature. We were close enough to the action in Gettysburg, but far enough removed in our own secluded, peaceful location to really feel relaxed and refreshed after our weekend. Highly recommend!

Willow Lodge a Relaxing Retreat

Some viewers may be turned off by the fact that there are no TVs or wifi at Willow Lodge. But it's good to disconnect for a while without the distractions of the world! Our family rented Willow Lodge as a "home base" for all of our Gettysburg adventures. The online description is spot-on, and the directions given were very detailed and accurate. The home was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and quite well-appointed with kitchen items. Off the beaten path and surrounded by woods and farm land, it was peaceful and quiet. The Shader's were perfect hosts, and the rental fee very reasonable. I would definitely stay again or recommend to others!

Lawrence and Wendy Shrader are the owners of Willow Lodge and Primrose Dale Farm. It is a working farm that produces corn, soybeans and grass hay.

Lawrence was born and raised in nearby Littlestown and Wendy in Gettysburg so they are each are native to Adams County. They also share a family background in farming.

Varför värden valde detta boende

In 2006 Lawrence and Wendy began searching for the farm of their dreams...one that was not too far off the beaten path but far enough to provide the tranquility and pastoral setting they were looking for. Their search ended in 2010 when a 52 acre farm with two houses went on the auction block. Lawrence and Wendy moved quickly and with one swift sound of a gavel, Primrose Dale was born.

By offering Willow Lodge as a guest cottage, they hope to share with others the peace and tranquil beauty they found here in Upper Adams County.

Sitting back off the main road, the private gravel lane leads up through the woods to a guest cottage. An abundance of wildlife can be spotted from Willow Lodge. It is not a rare occurrence to see a buck or a doe with her fawn grazing at the edge of the woods. The sound of a woodpecker, the gentle cooing of a dove or an occasional 'hoot' of an owl is typical. The quiet beauty and the privacy of the location is unsurpassed….a serene place to rest, relax and renew.
