Denna två sovrum, söta pärla pärla har spektakulär utsikt över berget på ena sidan och havet på den andra. Det är en mild bris med en stor uteplats i en tropisk trädgård; den främre gräsmattan användes i filmen av 2016 säsong 20 finalen av kandidaten med Ben Higgins på Chukka Cove Polo Club!

Bekvämt beläget mellan semesterorterna Ocho Rios och Runaway Bay utanför Jamaica's North Coast Highway och undangömt på Chukka Cove Polo Club, erbjuder Villa 2 unik tillgång till en verkligt jamaicansk upplevelse.

Bottenvåningen har en stor öppen veranda som leder till den mysiga matsalen med plats för 6; köket, skafferi, pulverrum och tvättstuga finns också på denna våning.

Klipporna vid Chukka Cove är dramatiska och omfattande, bra för att utforska eller helt enkelt lyssna på ljudet av vågorna som kraschar i land. På lugna dagar tar en stege dig in i det kalla klara vattnet. På egendom är en liten sandig vik, säker och perfekt för små barn att simma och spela. På dagar när havet sväller upp och du söker lugnare vatten, tar en två minuters promenad österut längs polofältets kant dig till den spektakulära Chukka Cove, en skyddad vik där vattnet är lugnt och klippa, simma och snorkla är ett måste.

Paradise

It was a dream location with the sound of the sea bringing a calm and relaxing feel to the stay. The surroundings were stunning, lots of birds and incredible plants. The sea was perfectly clear and the snorkelling was absolutely amazing. I just loved the views. The staff were incredible and really went out of their way to help. Anthony and Andrew were fantastic and between them took us to the bat cave which was magical, and other areas of interest, as well as to the nearby beach. Miss P was a fantastic cook and really helped us feel at home, nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to help us celebrate our daughters’ birthdays whilst we were out there. It’s the perfect base to explore the area and the most perfect place to relax. I can’t recommend it enough and would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely Villa

Very well maintained villa. The housekeeper, Pauline, was friendly, and her cooking was delicious. Would have liked to utilize the small beach area for the kids, but it wasn't conducive at the time. Lovely property, and the protected cove is perfect for more advanced swimmers. Would definitely recommend and repeat visit!!

65th Birthday Celebration & Girl’s Trip

Words can’t describe how beautiful this property is. I celebrated my 65th birthday with three of my friends and we had an amazing time. Pauline was the sweetest and a gourmet chef ! Tony was a great guide and showed us all the perks of the property !Andrew protected the grounds and made sure we felt safe at all times. Piepie was available for any needs and made sure to get us wherever we needed to be. The communication with the host was seamless . I will definitely be back again !

Beautiful setting, but a little far from town for folks who like to go on excursions and dine out.

It was a good experience for being a first time visitor to Jamaica. We loved our villa and the beautifully manicured landscape. A package price for transportation would have been extremely helpful since it’s too far to walk anywhere.

Every bit true and amazing!

The SettleDown property is everything as described and more! The pictures are accurate and you are steps away from the ocean. The property is conveniently located on the north side of the island. We had so many options for excursions, landmarks, and places to go. There is security on the meticulous property and thanks to Ms P running things, it feels like a home away from home. Marc and Trish were great hosts and were very accommodating. We’d definitely come again!!

secluded bliss

This beautiful villa is one of six on a cliff overlooking the gorgeous Caribbean Sea. There is path and ladder access to the water, a shared pool with high end loungers and a cute covered sitting area by the pool when you're wanting to look out at the water. We loved the ample well appointed outdoor covered living area with fans to keep the air moving. We spent all our time at the villa outside listening to the waves. Pauline took great care of us, served excellent Jamaican meals as we requested and came shopping with us to the local market in St Anne's Bay. This is my second visit to the villas at Chukka and I will be returning for sure.

Amazing Family Trip

This accommodations were better then I ever imagined. The view, the quietness and the staff were amazing. Paulette was just so friendly. I looked forward to seeing her show up every morning just to see her big smile. Paulette is a fabulous cook! Every morning we watched the horses walk by our villa. We would feed them mangos. We felt very safe with Phillip walking around at night. We hope to make it back to Jamaica one day and if we do we will stay at villa 2!!

Serenity

Traveled with friends for a week. Location was perfect. We were the only people on the property for the entire week. The views from the home were magical. Mrs. P's cooking was perfection. She was a pleasure to be around and so helpful. Pool was warm and the ocean was even warmer. Anthony was so helpful with jumping off the cliffs. All staff you run into on the grounds are friendly and willing to go above and beyond. Our friends stayed next door and Mrs. P worked with the staff in the other house to ensure we were all able to eat together. if your looking to get away from it all this is the place you want to be.

To see the beautiful island and for convenience stay in Chukka villa#2 you shout rent a car. The villa is absolutely fantastic, amazing! The view from the terrace is that you will never forget! Paullet, housekeeper is polite and helps with everything. I strongly recommend to stay here! We traveled around all the island and the sea is the most beautiful in Chukka Cove. You will find everything you can need in the house. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary tools. So if you want to have a comfortable stay you should stay in Chukka villa#2. Wifi, hot water is stable- I know it is important things.

Rest, Relaxation, Serenity!

This was an amazingly relaxing trip. We received clear communication in advance to prepare for our trip. Our driver, Pie Pie was professional. The Villa was as described and very clean which was an absolute priority. We ate and we rested. The bed was comfortable. Ms. P was amazing! She spoiled us with all the wonderful food she served us. Her wonderful cooking and conversation made our experience awesome. She prepared ox tails, curry goat, curry shrimp, rice and peas, shrimp quesadilla, fried snapper and more! Yummy! Andrew served as security and an excellent tour guide around the property. Martin gave us some shells from the ocean. The spa pool was amazing. The view and the sound of the ocean were phenomenal! I would definitely go back!

Simply put...paradise!!

OMG my family of 4 spent 8 days at the SettleDown Villa and it was beyond amazing. The property inside and out was immaculate. Pauline, the chef, cooked us so many authentic Jamaican meals we wanted to bring her home with us. Pipi, the driver, was dialed in to our every need and he knows EVERYONE, so when you want to do the usual tourist stuff, he knows the people to call to help expedite your adventure. Ask Pipi to show you 'another side of humanity' and maybe he'll take you to his fishing village like he did for us. Also, be sure to ask Tony to take you swimming with the bats!! Overall, 5 stars isn't a high enough rating what my family got out of our vacation. It would have been delightful either way, but Pauline, Pipi, Tony and the SettleDown Villa in general are WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! We will most def be staying the next time we go!!

3 Couples Vacation

We stayed at Settle Down for 10 glorious days. The home is beautiful and the view is the best of all the homes we have stayed in Jamaica. What made our stay over the top was Ms Pauline. Her cooking and attention to detail is top notch. We are a group that's in their 60's and spent a great deal at the home and on property. Andrew the security guy always made us feel very safe. We definitely will return. The one thing that has changed in Jamaica is the price of food. Be prepared to spend twice as much than in the US. We used the market the house recommended, but purchased the majority of the food from a market in town, which was cheaper. I have been coming to Jamaica for over 40 years and have watch the changes, but this home takes you back to the authentic Jamaica. Marc/Trish was easy to work with and answered emails quickly. You will not be disappointed with this property.

Beautiful Getaway

We had a great vacation in Jamaica at Villa 2 at Chukka Cove. There was only one other villa occupied while we were there which was nice. Our housekeeper Paulette took great care of the house and cooked some delicious meals. The little sandy beach was great for our 3 year old to dig in the sand and make sand castles. There was some glass that washed there and not all of it was soft sea-glass so we wore shoes and I did a sweep of the beach each time we went down. We spent a ton of time in the pool which was cleaned often and in great condition. We ate all of our meals at the table on the patio so we could enjoy the warm weather and watch the sea. All of the staff were responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is that there was a leak in the roof directly above the master bed. I was woken up twice by water dripping onto my head which wasn't pleasant. If not for this leak I would probably give 5 stars, everything else was stellar.

Beautiful Views and Awesome People

Villa 2 was absolutely amazing! Paulette and everyone at Villa 2 wanted nothing but the best expierence for all guests! We relaxed the entire vacation. It was so nice to sit out on the patio and listen to the ocean or the horses galloping by at night. The landscaping was absolutely beautiful with the different flowers, tress and fruits all around. Also, with it being so hot it was nice to be able to retreat up to the room to enjoy the ac and still be able to take in the beautiful surroundings from the front sun room! The cove was such a beautiful little spot to hangout and get some sand in our toes. We loved the option of having the pool or going in the ocean especially since those waves can get a little rough in the ocean making it hard to swim. The LFA market was a blessing! Clarence took us out to dinner the one night we did go out and he was so great in explaining what we were passing and giving us pointers. This was our first time in Jamaica and we definitely plan on coming back to hopefully stay at Villa 1 or 2 again. We absolutely loved the staff, the vibes, and the wonderful hospitality! Thank you Mark, Trish and Janet for being so helpful when it came to booking and other questions!

We highly recommend this property!

Everything was just as pictured and described. The villa and our time there was better than we imagined. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of and we felt safe while staying here. Pauline is a real gem. Her cooking is out of this world, and she took very good care of us. She is a true asset. All the staff we encountered were cordial and friendly. Prior to our arrival, we had ongoing communication with Trish, who arranged our airport pick-up and the delivery of the food and drinks we ordered. Trish always responded quickly. We also used the local mobile spa, SP Aroma–Therapeutic Healing Hands (their brochure is in the villa). Sandra and her team are very professional and thorough. We had Sandra and Malita for our massages and mani pedi, and Melissa Absalam for lash extensions. We would use them all again. As for transportation, the villa does have access to independent drivers. We used them a few times but preferred to use a company we researched, Best Jamaica Day Tours (Shamelia, Leroy and Dainian Austin). We used them for a private tour and private transportation back to the airport. Jamaica Day Tours far exceeded our expectations (courteous, professional, very knowledgeable including history, know their way around, good & clean air-conditioned vehicles, enjoyable to travel with, accommodating, reasonably priced & felt very safe with them). Without hesitation, we recommend this property and the service providers mentioned. We also intend on returning next year.

Beautiful

We were a group of 4 adults, all of whom have been to Jamaica multiple times. This was our first stay at Chukka Cove. First of all, the property grounds are beautiful! No where else will you be able to view the horses trotting by your villa twice a day.... a wonderful experience! The cove was breathtaking....although we found the water too rough to swim in, the views can not be beat. Trish was immediate in responding to my questions and the reservation process was very easy!! Paulette, the cook was wonderful. She worked with us in planning the menu and her dishes were all great!! We miss her already! Phillip, the security guard took us under his wing and went above and beyond his duties. We miss them both already!! We have nothing but great things to say and hope to be back very soon!! A side note... although there are only six villas, they are close together, so if you are looking for complete privacy it may be difficult. The grouping of villas would be IDEAL for larger groups or multiple families that want to vacation together but still have separate quarters. Although we lucked out and usually had the pool to ourselves, it would be difficult to have more than 6-8 people comfortably utilizing it because there are only six lounge chairs and a couple of chairs. These are not complaints, just a review to help see the pros and cons..... and the pros definitely outweigh cons!! We had a wonderful time and hated leaving!! We will be back!!! Thank you again for the Jamaican hospitality!!!

When my wife and I looked this property over in 2021 we were thrilled to stay here! We booked instantly and couldn't wait to vacation back to my homeland of Jamaica. Well, we had several bumps in the road during my stay which caused me to give this property a 3-star rating and give my absolute honest opinion. I'll start with the highlights. The property is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos. Ms. P is AMAZING and her food is everything you would imagine it to be. She's the main reason my review is more stars than I would normally leave for the situations that occurred and the pools. However, Marc/Trish are NOT professional renter owners and I didn't appreciate how they handled what happened. I lost electricity (power) and water usage during my stay and a few other mishaps took place. Normally, any owner, sub-lessor or even a resort would accommodate their guests in such a way that is satisfying and pleasurable for the guest. Well, in this case, I was told that because I was "bitter" they preferred not to handle the situation professionally and rather ignore my requests as a guest. If you are not ready to handle 'rural Jamaica" as Trish mentioned in a prior message to me, keep looking for a better home with a back-up generator. especially for the amount of money you pay. There's no ice available on the property. Maybe for the 1st two nights but that's about it. The water dispenser dies at times.BRING BATTERIES just in case. The remote for the ONE tv is TRASH.

Wonderful stay away from the tourist scene!

We loved that we found a place we could call "home" for 6 days in Jamaica. We wanted to embrace the Jamaican culture and surround ourselves with beauty. We felt Villa 2 was an "all inclusive" in its breathtaking surroundings, amenities, accommodations and hospitality. We stayed in Villa 2 and even though there needs some much needed updating and replenishing some kitchen ware...etc (reason for the four stars), we loved every minute we were there. Paulette was wonderful and made our stay that much more relaxing - she cooked 3 dinners for us, she went with us shopping in St. Ann's fresh produce market and meat market to help out with the language barrier and make sure we were getting treated fairly in pricing. She always made sure we were comfortable and felt the villa was to our satisfaction. Five stars for Paulette!! The pool was much smaller than what we were anticipating (from the pictures online) but so nice to plunge into on the warmer days and balmy nights. It was nice being able to shut the windows at night and sleep with the air conditioning running - it drowned out the noise of the concerts that were going on just down the road until the wee hours of the morning and the very loud cicadas that were chirping away all night long! One of our favorite things during our stay was watching the horses (over 100 of them) from the stables being transferred from their day location to their nightly pasture....watching them galloping down the dirt road in large groups with the sun setting was priceless. The rest of the staff at Chukka tours were very hospitable and accommodating. We tried Chukka's Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dinners one night (which they personally delivered to the villa) and it hit the spot. Having a private cove and mostly private area for snorkeling was fantastic and beautiful. If you are looking to get away from the abundance of cruise passengers and tourist...this is the spot! We will recommend this place to all our family and friends.

Great location, wonderful staff

The positives: The house is nice and kept clean. The location is wonderful (except for items mentioned in negatives). It is remote and quiet. Right on the ocean. The ocean is swimmable on calm days, but there isn't really any good snorkeling out front. The cove (a quick walk) is calm and has some decent snorkeling. A great place for beginners. And if you are adventurous, you can jump off the 15 foot platform into the sea. The small sandy beach could be nice for little ones, but it's not maintained, so you have to be careful as I found lots of broken glass washed up on shore. We loved the horses that come by every morning and early evening. At least 75 of them parade by as they come and go from the polo club. Miss Paulette is an amazing cook and did a great job with dinners. Better than any food we ate at restaurants. Phillip (the caretaker/security) was amazing as well. The negatives: There is construction next door and it will likely be going on for some time. It's loud and starts fairly early. Also, the villa next door (#3) often has teenagers (apparently the owner's kids) that hang out. Large groups of them drinking and playing loud music. It got better after we complained to our manager, but if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place, this might not be a fit. I heard it's a frequent problem. Another issue is that we were without water for two afternoons and without electricity for one. We also weren't aware that the water at this house is not safe to drink (although in general, the water in Jamaica is safe to drink), so be prepared to purchase bottled water for your stay. There is a grocery within walking distance, so that is convenient and they will also deliver.

GREAT staff, & beautiful home, transportation not so much. Get your pockets ready.

The property itself was great. Pauline was amazing, and so was Phil. The only issue we had was location. It is located maybe a half hour drive from Ocho Rios. Because of this, you are required to get transportation every time you come and go from the villa. Now the villa has a transportation company that they use, and in the beginning, it was nice, no problems. The issue lies within the last full day on the villa. We had a pretty busy day full of activities planned. We contacted the transportation company, and requested a ride to Dolphin cove, to pick up tickets for Dunns Rivers Falls, that was pre purchased with a swimming with the dolphins excursion the previous day, and requested to be dropped off at Dunns rivers following picking up the tickets. The driver arrived at 11:10am, though we stated that we will like to be picked up at 11:30. Ok, no problem for me, but one of the individuals in my party was frustrated because she felt rushed due to this. When I inquired about the early arrival, the driver stated that he had another party to get to another destination by 12 noon, and that they called after I contacted him. Now for this particular ride was quoted for $40, not a problem. We arrived at Dunns Rivers at 11:50a, and asked the driver to back at 1:00pm sharp, due to a scheduled reservation to ride ATVs at the Chukka villas. The driver agreed. Now when 1pm came around, my party were just standing there. No driver, I had to call several times, the driver stated he was sending someone else, and that they wanted us to walk down to the security gate by Dunns Rivers entrance, and look for a white tour bus with a certain license plate number. Remind you there is white tour buses everywhere. It was very frustrating because we shouldn’t had to walk around looking for this van, when we agreed that transportation was going to be waiting on us at 1 pm. Finally a driver showed up at 1:18pm, forcing us to rush when we got back to the villas to get ready for our ATV excursion. That evening, my party and I wanted to go out to eat food, to the nearest restaurant, we didn’t care if it was the local KFC, in which you past going to Dunns Rivers. Well when we contacted transportation, we were told that we have to pay $120 just to go grab a bite and bring it back to the Villa. This was very frustrating, as we’ve paid $120 the day before to ride out to Ocho Rios to shop, and eat. I felt like the transportation company was trying to get over, and I don’t like that

Nice Peaceful Stay

We spent a total of 10 days at the SettleDown villa and it did not disappoint. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and our anniversary so we wanted a nice location and this was it. The property is amazing and very peaceful. I want to give a special shout out to Mrs. Pauline who went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one! Her food preparation and attention to detail are unmatched! Our 12 month old daughter clung to her and felt comfortable which made the trip that much more enjoyable as it felt as if we were with family. Mrs. P was even instrumental in our daughter taking her first steps by herself and freely walking! Communication with the hosts was fairly easy and the response time was really good. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return for our next vacay!

Perfection

The house was exactly as advertised and the property was so fun we hardly left it (and we are typically adventurers!). Cliff jumping, snorkeling, Bat-cave, gorgeous swimming pool, sunsets, amazing food and incredible views. Why would we wander anywhere else! Our chef and housekeeper was a highlight of our trip with a smile that brightened up every room and delicious meal after meal.
