Great place to stay while we skied and snowboarded

We always take a small trip with our kids and their cousins between Christmas and New Years. This house was perfect for this year. Very short distance to crystal with a great little pizza and gas station near by.

Michigan trip from Tennessee.

Great location, close enough to golf fishing and Traverse City. Host were good on communications, really enjoyed our time up north. Played several rounds of golf, did some wine tours, caught some good salmon and one little lake trout.

Comfortable, nice atmosphere.

Very useful layout for my group of several friends. Roomy kitchen and living area. Kitchen is well stocked with condiments and supplies. I would definitely stay there again when going to Crystal Mountain.

Amazing house and location

This was our first time to Crystal Mountain and we are officially hooked. The house was beautiful, incredibly clean and in the perfect location. It felt so homey and comfortable. I was very impressed with the extensive measures the host has gone through to make it what it is. The beds were comfortable, we had everything we needed and there isn’t one thing I was disappointed with. We will definitely be back!

Ski weekend getaway!

We rented the house for 2 night with another couple and their kids. We put the kids in ski school for the day and we enjoyed an adult day of skiing. We had a fire at the house when we got back and just had a spectacular weekend catching up with friends. We for sure will be back!!!

3 Star Review: Great Space, But Needs Some Improvements

The house had potential and worked well in terms of size and layout for our group. It’s in a convenient location and had a few nice features that we appreciated, like overall space, firepit out back was nice and the resort.That said, there were a few things that made the stay less enjoyable. The overall cleanliness of the home could definitely be improved—there were areas that felt like they hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. The Wi-Fi was very slow, which made it tough for anyone trying to stream, work, or stay connected. On top of that, the air conditioning was spotty and inconsistent, which made parts of the house uncomfortable, especially during warmer times of the day.

The family atmosphere is truly amazing, and as a year round resort anytime is a good time to visit. We now have three vacation rentals here at Crystal Mountain, as our family has expanded so has our network of friends. We invite you to experience all northern Michigan has to offer. Make your own memories year after year. It truly is a magical place to visit.

At almost 2000 sq. feet, this custom built home has open concept floor plan was built for entertaining. Covered front porch, a large back deck with dining table and plenty of seating. There is also a huge master suite with glass shower and Jacuzzi Tub. The great-room has a large 50” Smart TV, sofa and love-seat, Reclining chair, that is perfect for kids or adults that want to relax or be entertained while others gather in the large gourmet kitchen with center island that easily seats 13+ for meals and is fully stocked for multi-family extended stays and cooking. This home has newer Serta Mattresses and bedding throughout, newer furniture, BOSE Bluetooth Sounddock, Three Smart Tv's and much more to keep everyone comfortable. House has two large full bathrooms. A river rock stone gas fireplace creates a cozy main family room, with a flick of a switch the fireplace throws out additional heat for cozy comfort and relaxing ambiance. The house also has a great outdoor rear deck overlooking the beautiful meadow with an eating area, newer Weber propane grill l & large firepit area with plenty of chairs that are great for relaxing while catching up with friends/family or grilling your fresh catch of the day. Plenty of room in the front & back yard for those outdoor games

Full-size washer & dryer are also at your disposal for your extended stay. Located just a 1/8 mile to the entrance of Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa you have access to skiing, golf, biking, spa, indoor pool/hot tub and fitness center, outdoor pool and waterpark, high-ropes and many other activities available. (Daily Nominal Fee) So close you can even hear the snow making machines in the distance during ski season! The house is also a short drive for day trips to Arcadia & Frankfort Lake Michigan Beaches, downtown Traverse City, Crystal Lake in Beulah, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Manistee, Platte River rafting and many other areas of interest. There is even a newer rustic distillery (Iron Fish) just down the road and a Mead/Wine/Beer tasting room (St. Ambrose Cellars) that is just 10mins. north. Miles of State snowmobile trails just down the road and ATV/Snowmobile rentals close by as well. (Just over a mile) So many things to do and places to see that are close to the house, although the quiet and peacefulness of the place may be all that you need. House has central air conditioning as well to keep your group comfortable!
