Step into a beautifully renovated private wing of the 1840 Collins Estateâan elegant, fully restored home nestled in the heart of Union Vale, NY. This spacious hotel-efficiency-style suite offers guests a charming blend of historic character and modern comfort.
Your Private East Wing Includes:
âą Private entrance and exclusive access â no shared spaces with others during your stay
âą Spacious sleeping accommodations:
âą One king bedroom
âą One bedroom with a queen and a double bed
âą A pull-out leather sofa (double bed) in the living room
âą Two fully renovated bathrooms â one upstairs and one downstairs
âą Multiple living spaces:
âą Comfortable living room with TV
âą Mudroom
âą Coffee bar
âą Efficiency area with full-sized refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and toaster oven
âą There is a game room with a mini pool table, foosball, Ms. PAC Man, record player and board games.

âą Staircase notice: The upstairs bath and bedrooms are accessed via stairs with high risers. Those with mobility concerns may need assistance.
âą No pets or animals allowed due to severe family allergies. This policy is non-negotiable, even for service animals, due to shared HVAC.

Built over three years by 60 craftsmen in the 1840s, the estate is a stunning example of period architecture with original tin ceilings, wide-plank floors, and detailed mouldings. Lovingly updated, the East Wing provides a hotel-like retreat with the warmth of a historic home.

Whether youâre here for a romantic escape, a family getaway, or a quiet retreat, the Collins Estate East Wing offers a private and peaceful setting with timeless charm and modern convenience.
The main portion of the Manor house is not accessible to guests, however the east wing is 2350 square feet of living space for you to enjoy. There is not a kitchen within this space, however you will not need it as Dutchess County is home to the Culinary Institute of America and offers the finest restaurants in the world and many are a short drive away. Uber eats and Door dash are also available. There is a full refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven in the space along with a coffee bar.
The Castella Family are Hudson Valley Natives for 7 generations. Jennifer, Frankie III, and Frank Jr, open their historic home for guests to enjoy. Collins Estate is a creekside 1840 Greek revival with hardwood floors, a country setting, barns, refinished amenities and a picturesque property. To appreciate this home, you should know the manor house required an encampment of 60 men and 3 years to construct and is evidenced by great detail.
We do require that the person who books is present during the stay unless pre-approved.
Your space is completely separate and private from ours with locked doors in between the two sections of the home. However, we do live in the main Manor house and we are always available to answer questions and assist our guests when possible. But we offer our guests complete privacy and do not enter their space unless requested to. For most guests we do not see nor interact with them as the spaces are separated like an apartment building.
Walk the grounds and enjoy the private porch seating. There is central air and split unit air conditioning. Also, there is a refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven.
For the safety of our guests, we do have security cameras on the outside grounds.
Guests with under 5 reviews, a star rating less than four or last review will be asked to send an additional $500 security deposit through AirBnB. This is fully refundable at checkout should the space be left as it was found.
Smoking of any kind is prohibited on property and strictly enforced with a $1,000 assessment incurred and immediately cancellation of the reservation and revocation of your stay.
We asks our guests to respect this historic home as their own. The home is filled with original antiques of which some may not be handled or used as they are delicate and valuable. Guests are responsible for any damages incurred to the property or valuables. All bookings must be made by someone 25 years of age or older and anyone under this age and must have a parent or guardian present at all times. We will not tolerate underage drinking of alcoholic beverages on premise.
The person with the booking account must be present for the stay. We do not accept blind booking where the stay is booked by someone that has an account and is reserving the house for others. You must be the one staying at the residence to book unless pre-approved.
Adequately sleeps 6 guests, and for safety and insurance reasons we do not allow more than 6 in the home at a time. There is no smoking on the property as the homestead is from the early 1800âs. Should a guest be found to be smoking in the home there is an instant $1000 cleaning fee to have a professional fumigation performed. Please do not make purchases to our streaming accounts for movies etc. Guests will be responsible for any charges made to our streaming accounts.
