Villa Sunshine

Stayed for a week. The house is nice but could use some maintenance and updating. Upon arrival we reviewed the information books provided and never could get the whirlpool turned on because the instructions are for a previous pool control system. Since we had been traveling since 4:30 am we would have liked to use the hot tub.The dishwasher doesn’t clean even pre washed dishes. The oven tempature isn’t even close. The pots and pans that were there are so worn and uneven cooking is a chore at best. There are no larger pots. Spent one day with no air conditioning. The towels are old and worn. The grill is a rusted out mess.

Review of stay

Manager was great about moving us to another location for our first night when the electric went out from a house fire next door. Returned next morning. House is outdated and in need of repairs. Pool table is useless if the tips are off the sticks. Space could be used for something else. Tile on floor is chipped in multiple places and shower knobs we’re loose and hard to use. The house is large and spacious just needs some tender loving care. 2 of the bedrooms do not get cool. Pool was dirty and never got cleaned during our week stay even after I reported it was dirty. Overall we had a great time and the neighborhood was very friendly.

Fun house to stay in

The house was older and had some scrapes and dings about it. The Manager we met was wonderful and showed us around - let us know that we would get paid back for purchasing the gas for the grill (no way to go about that though) and told us about the history of the house and the area. Wonderful person! The house had fun décor and was large for easy spread out of family. We would stay here againg

Beautiful property

We had a great time at Villa Sunshine. Part of the week we had eight adults stay, and the house accommodated all of us very well. Note that when having someone in the third and fourth bedrooms, there is a bathroom in the hall between the two rooms, and the fourth bathroom is a nice bathroom, but it is accessed by going outside by the grill area. The master bedroom and bath are extremely nice and separated from the other three bedrooms. The second bedroom has an en suite. They are comfortable rooms. The pool area is the highlight of the Villa. There is ample outdoor seating and dining space under a covered porch. The pool is extremely nice and kept up. The entire pool area and view of the canal was very beautiful. There is a very nice tiki hut and deck down by the canal. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Very dirty property

We would’ve enjoyed our stay for the most part had the place actually been cleaned. The day we got there our feet were black from walking around the house which continued the rest of the trip which is just disgusting. There was NO soap in the whole house and we had to go buy hand soap and dish soap if that tells you anything about the level of cleanliness of the whole house. We asked the property manager to have the floors mopped so we could be in the house without having to wash our feet multiple times a day and they never sent anyone. Every single bed was also very uncomfortable.

June vacation

I was pleasantly surprised at the home and property. We were comfortable and had all necessities during our stay. The home was beautiful as well as the pool and the tiki setting by the canal. I will definitely return!

Very enjoyable stay

We were a group of 8 and really enjoyed our stay. The house is big with plenty of room for everyone. The pool and spa was used everyday, the operation is a bit tricky, but we figured it out. The neighborhood is super quiet as we did not see or hear anyone else around us. Had a question about the showers and Sven replied to me in under a minute via text at 11pm at night. We would stay at Villa Sunshine again. Thanks

Great house with lots of pluses but needs TLC

Maintenance came to replace numerous missing or burned out lightbulbs. One lock on one patio door doesn’t work. Upon arrival, we called housecleaning to come and properly clean the house. The master bed is extremely squeaky. The house is very roomy and centrally located. Lovely pool and patio. Lots of room inside and out.

Luxurious Home on Quiet Canal with Lanai/Pool

My husband and I rented this luxurious home for a week. The home was very clean and we were able to use the garage for our rental car. The layout is ideal for a large family and it promotes privacy for the master suite. The weather was cooler than anticipated, but we thoroughly enjoyed the lanai with the pool/spa when we could and the pool table when too cool outdoors. One evening we were able to enjoy our cocktails at the tiki bar out on the canal. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed to cook the majority of our meals on site. Communication with the property management company before, during, and after our stay was prompt and met all of our needs. A check in and check out process is required, although we missed our check out due to early flight. During check in, you have the opportunity to get all of your questions answered and report any issues you encountered during your first night. All of our concerns were minor and addressed w Sven and resolved within hours. The home is huge and everywhere you turn, there is another bedroom and bathroom! The master bedroom and bathroom are just as highlighted in the photos. Please note- there is an additional fee for use of electricity. So, take this into consideration as you heat/cool the home, pool, and spa. We hope to return someday with our extended family as there is plenty of room and space for everyone. Thank you!

Relaxing Vacation

Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at Villa Sunshine. We especially enjoyed the pool, although there were a few problems with the spa and there was no controller for the operation of the pool and spa. These issues were not able to be resolved before our stay ended. However all guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was an excellent alternative to staying in a hotel. We will definitely consider this property again when visiting Southwest Florida.

great home for family getaway

villa sunshine was a beautiful home in a beautiful, quiet location! it was super easy to get ahold of the manager via call or text. we were able to put the pool and pool table into great use!! there were a couple things that weren’t so great, however they didn’t ruin our stay! first of all, we couldn’t get the hot tub to work, nor the neon lights in the pool. there was also only one cue stick for the pool table, but we were able to all just share it. overall very fun home with great amenities!!

Disappointed

I’ll start with what was good. The property was in a good location. Now to what was disappointing. First off the house is older and the pictures are deceiving. Two of the bedrooms stayed hot the entire time, never cooled at all. It’s advertised as having a bathroom for each bedroom. One of the bathrooms is outside for the pool. The pool, it was filled with algae on the sides on the first day of arrival. The property manager saw it on Sunday (the 2nd day) and promised it would be cleaned on Monday. No one showed up until Thursday after we called on Wednesday. The pool lights were broken as well. The pool table was great. However, they only have 1 pool cue to use. The rest was broken. Don’t expect to use the garage, there are 2 cars and a motorcycle in it. Will we stay here again, absolutely not.

Cape Coral Pool house was GREAT

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was spacious, comfortable, clean and we spent a LOT of time in the pool when we weren't at the beach. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend Villa Sunshine!

Overall just okay

This house has the old charm of a 60s vibe BUT truly needs a fresh coat of paint, maybe a good deep cleaning ( flies, floor seemed deep dirty). Master bedroom, pillows were flat, bed was lacking in comfort. The furthest queen room was warm, dont think the vent was shooting any air in this room ( I recall reading a similar complaint but thought it would have been fixed) so it made for long nights for our kids. Pool lights were not working ( repair man came but never fixed) so there was no night swimming ( bummer). House is spacious, so everyone had their own space. No room in garage for cars due to the fact there are 2 CARS and 1 motorcycle that take up space....so during STORM ELSA we were worried about our car ( wish this was mentioned in DESCRIPTION). We did notice that many ppl have been pleased with the house in past reviews so maybe we are just picky people. We felt so let down, the pictures show the outside WHITE and beautiful ( it's a shade of dull old white) the stucco looks cracked. Outside kitchen was dirty and old. Pool is nice, dock is great, the huge windows were a big plus. Would I stay at this site again? I am afraid not.
