I chose this neighborhood because it truly captures the heart and rhythm of Arusha. Everything I love is within walking distanceâmy favorite cafĂ©s, vibrant local shops, and essential city landmarks. Itâs a place where you can feel the pulse of East Africa, a mix of cultures and people from all over the world coming together in one spot.
Arusha is a tourist city, but it doesnât feel commercialâit feels alive. Thereâs real history here, from the Old German Boma to the Clock Tower that marks the center of Africa. And just steps away, youâre immersed in the colorful Maasai Market or sipping coffee at a local cafĂ© watching the world go by.
What I enjoy most is the balanceâyouâre in a peaceful apartment, but adventure is right outside. This is the starting point for trips to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara, and Kilimanjaro. Everything begins here: the safaris, the stories, the memories. And somehow, even with all the movement around you, the neighborhood feels calm, grounded, and welcoming.
That mixâof comfort, culture, and adventureâis what makes it feel like home.
