Aurora Suite in Fairbanks AK
Relax in this cozy, and private home in the Chena Hills. Located just 10 minutes from the airport, groceries, restaurants, and more.
Easily accessible from town by well-maintained roads, yet nestled in the center of our private 4-acre birch & spruce forest, along with a berry orchard!
In the darker months on clear nights, enjoy the northern lights right outside your back door. In the summer, when the fruit is ripe, pick your own raspberries, red currants, and rhubarb.
Private guest apartment with separate entrance on the back side of our home. One bedroom with a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, each suitable for up to two guests. Keep your feet warm with radiant floor heating throughout the entire apartment.
Back entrance includes outdoor patio with dining area, porch swing, BBQ, and firepit. View the northern lights in the fall/winter/spring months when skies are clear and the aurora is active.
Our full kitchen is stocked with necessities to cook and serve meals, along with a drip coffee maker, toaster oven, and electric kettle.
The bathroom has plenty of towels, washcloths, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided.
Flat screen TV equipped with Roku ready for you to log in to any of your streaming services.
The entire apartment is equipped with blackout curtains for the midnight sun in the summer.
We have plenty of parking available next to the house, and inside a covered parking space that doubles as our woodshed. Extension cord and outlets for heating vehicles in sub-zero temperatures will be provided in the woodshed.
Private apartment on the lower level of our home. Dedicated parking, walkway, and patio available to guests. Backyard is open for use and shared with the main house.
This suite is attached to the main house, which is also an Airbnb, but don't worry, you have a private entrance and a dead bolted door that is blocked off from the main house.

Our home lies at the end of a secluded culdesac and we have plenty of parking on the property.
Pets are absolutely welcome in our home for a small additional cleaning fee, but please be mindful to keep pets off of couch and bed as much as possible to reduce the chance of damages. If you do bring a pet, we ask that you vacuum the unit prior to your departure to reduce the pet hair in the unit.
*All room rates include a required 8% locality tax paid to the Fairbanks North Star Borough*
***For stays longer than 30 nights we do require a lease agreement, background check, copy of drivers license, and a one time insurance fee to be paid before your arrival. The one time insurance fee for stays 30-90 nights it will be an additional $750, 91-180 nights would be $1000, 181-270 nights would be $1250, and 271-364 nights would be $1500***
For reservations longer than 30 days, we charge a doubled cleaning fee due to the increased time and effort required for maintaining the property. This additional fee helps ensure the space is thoroughly cleaned after an extended stay.
-Quiet hours are between 12am and 6am
-Firepit is available. Wood for its use will be stacked by the back door. If you need more, please let us know and we will gather some from our wood shed.
-Guests are not permitted to enter any of the outdoor buildings or the upper deck. Feel free to enjoy the space, but please respect our property.
-If you choose to use the BBQ, please move it out to either side of the patio so smoke does not rise to the upper deck.
-Please park in the designated area to the left of the house or in the covered woodshed. If additional parking is needed, just let us know; we have plenty of space!
-No marijuana or any illegal substances are allowed in the home or on the property. Smoking is only permitted next to the firepit (please properly dispose of butts).
-If any damages occur, please notify us as soon as you become aware. Damages, loss, or excessive required cleaning will be charged to the guest through Airbnb.
-No additional overnight guests without prior permission from the host.
