Vacker stuga byggd 1910, med utsikt över Mississippi-floden och mindre än en mil till historiska centrala LeClaire IA. (Home of the American Pickers).

Stort däck med eldstad, gasgrill och gott om sittplatser. Avskärmad solterrass med bar med utsikt över floden och vackra solnedgångar. 2 sovrum med fullt privata badrum. ett bad har en jacuzzi-badkar, befälhavaren har en stor skiffer walk in dusch med jets.

Gasspis för mysiga kvällar i vardagsrummet. En hel vägg med franska dörrar med utsikt över floden. Se pråmar och båtar segla förbi.

Järn spiraltrappa tar dig till höljen med stor TV och två sovrum. Hallen fungerar också som en sovplats med en utvikbar soffa.

Den avskärmade solterrassen är den perfekta platsen att varva ner med en kopp kaffe eller ett glas vin. Direkt bakom fastigheten finns en park med leklekar och ett lusthus för picknick.

My son coined the expression "I love the artful historic vibe here Dad!" We enjoyed watching a viking river cruise boat steam up the Mississippi from the screened in deck. We also enjoyed cooking a meal together. I planked wild caught salmon on the charcoal grill while my son prepared baked/broiled brussel sprouts. He discovered an arugula bed is a tasty compliment to blanked salmon.

Great little cottage in LeClaire. We loved our stay. It had everything we needed and more. The multiple decks / sitting areas with views of the river were used often. From morning coffee to evening drink there’s always a perfect spot to sit and enjoy. I wish we were able to spend more time here but our weekend was busy. Highly recommend.

A Birthday Celebration!

We had a fabulous two night stay at your Cottage on the Mississippi! The Cottage is charming, a place that draws you in and honestly you don't want to leave. The decks are lovely, giving beautiful views of the Mississippi. It is exactly as you described. We totally relaxed. Kathryn, thank you for providing such a wonderful place to relax and watch the River go by. I plan to return for another visit.

This is an amazing place to stay with great views and a beautiful neighborhood to walk around. I would say the only thing to make sure you do is read the entire listing and make sure you read about the pet rules. Although, this place states to be pet friendly, it is not a pet friendly place for people with animals that are part of the family. The pets are not allowed on any furniture or in the bedrooms, so if your fur baby always sleeps with you, then you will definitely have issues! Other than that, the place is top notch and the host is great!

If you are considering this property, BOOK IT! You will not be disappointed. The house is beautifully decorated. The beds are super comfortable. Everything is clean and fresh. The weather was great and we spent a lot of time outside at one of several gathering spots to watch the river and wildlife. Above all, the host was wonderful. BOOK IT NOW.

Cool cottage!

Such a cool cottage! Interestingy architecture, lovely decor and neat outdoor spots to enjoy the beautiful views of the Old Man River.Clean and comfortable in all areas inside and out. Had a wonderful evening cozied up in front of the gas fireplace.

This cabin is CHARMING!

Beautiful location, impeccable interior design, three French doors overlooking the Mississippi from the living area. There're at least 5-6 different outdoor living stress, decks, wide porch, fire pit. Communication with host was great!

Quaint and comfy!

Absolutely loved this historic cottage. Oozing with charm! Kathryn has created such an inviting get-away. We were in town for a family Christmas and needed a few extra beds and a quiet space for a break from the exuberance of 10 grandkids. Perfect peacefulness to be found at this cottage. Just a heads-up to any wanting to stay here; there are several small steps throughout the cottage in addition to the spiral staircase, all very well marked and lit, but still a word of caution for some. We surely hope to be back, and the teenage granddaughters hope to join us next time!

Relaxing Girls Weekend

My friends and I stayed here to enjoy some time away and celebrate a bachelorette party. We loved our stay at this adorable house. The tiki bar was a nice surprise and the highlight of our stay! We were able to walk to downtown for drinks in the morning and evening. Just know the hot tub mentioned is in one of the bathrooms not outside, but suggest they get one as it has the perfect setting for one and should get a hammock enjoy perfect fall days. We had a great time!

LeClaire Cortage

We stayed here for three weeks as a working vacation. The cottage is very comfortable and has a welcoming feel. Kathryn, the host was very responsive, friendly and helpful. We adored the property and plan to stay again.

Cottage in LeClaire, IA

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Everything was pretty much as shown in the photos online. The river views were great. There was a lot of train traffic along the river but it was really not an issue for us. There were several nice decks and outdoor seating options, however, the decks and patio furniture had not been cleaned in quite awhile. We did enjoy sitting in the little screened porch on the second floor and that was very clean. Overall, a nice stay.

Adorable cottage!

The cottage was the perfect place for me to get away from distractions and get some writing done! From the variety of outdoor seating to the cozy indoor space, it was a great setup. And the river view was so pretty! I even got to see a beautiful rainbow over the Mississippi after a storm. The only improvement that could be made is the master bedroom bed. It was only a full size which was very tight for the night my husband was able to be there. Granted, we are used to a king, but a full was a whole lot smaller than we like. We would not have been able to do another night in that bed. By myself it was just fine. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay! I loved it!
