A Missouri Sweet Spot - sover 16

TinRoofSundae Cabin ligger ungefär 6 mil öster om Marceline, Missouri, på Hwy WW. Det har utsikt över den nyrenoverade våtmarken Brush Creek. Besökare har tillgång till över 600 tunnland naturligt virke och grässlättar. Gästerna är välkomna att vandra vandringsleder, rockhop Brush Creek eller njuta av en eftermiddag med fiske i dammen.

Byggnaden på stugan slutfördes hösten 2017. Utsidan av stugan ger gott om sittutrymme (och fantastisk utsikt), med en täckt veranda och täckt bakre däck, som varje utvidgar hela kabinen. Interiören är rustik utformad, men med moderna golv, fullt utrustat kök, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, värme och luftkonditionering.

Det stora sovrummet har en king size-säng, klädkammare och bifogat badrum. Befälhavaren har ett jacuzzi, dubbelt handfat och duschkabin. Rummet har en queen size-säng och garderob. Våningssalen var designad med lite hjälp från våra fyra söner! Med tre fulla sängar, toppade med fyra (ja, fyra) enkelsängar, är det säkert att vara en favoritplats för de unga i hjärtat!

We loved staying at this cabin. It has the most complete kitchen cookware of any of the cabins we have visited and since we bring all of our food with us, it worked out really well. This cabin felt like home for a week. It was spacious, comfortable, calming, and just what we needed to rest.

Relaxing Getaway

Delightful, relaxing, awesome scenery. Lots of nature trails to walk. Great small town with lots of helpful and friendly people. Mexican restaurant in Marceline has delicious food.

Peaceful getaway

Wonderful getaway!

We had a family getaway and enjoyed every minute of it!! The house and property was beautiful and very well kept! Wish it hadn't rained as much as it did, but very thankful there were covered decks on the front and back to still enjoy the outdoors....we will definitely be back!!

AMAZING GETAWAY

Bunk room is a kid’s dream

The kids loved the bunk fort and the tree house with the zip line. The house is beautiful with wonderful detail and design. Fantastic cooking kitchen. Only bummer is that we couldn’t catch a fish to save our soul in the nearby pond.

Idyllic Missouri Getaway Spot

This home was perfect for a reunion of twelve of us to get together for the weekend. We played music, sat around the campfire, swam in the pond, and cooked out on the grill. The space was perfect for our large group and we felt we had plenty of room. Never had a rainy day, but the cabin was full of DVDs and games just in case! Winter Wonderland

My family and I stayed for a couple days at TinRoofSundae January 3-5, 2021. We were celebrating a late Christmas with family that lives in Marceline. The landscape was blanketed in sparkling snow that lent itself to impromptu snowball fights and a meticulously contructed snowman. My young nephews from Marceline LOVED the bunkroom and were so excited to visit us in the cabin. We had everything that we needed and were very comfortable.

Peaceful, Beautiful Property

This property is absolutely beautiful! Our family enjoyed the pond for hours each day. Some of our favorites were; walking down to the creek and walking in the cool water...looking for treasures, spending time on the back deck (which has plenty of seating for meals as well), listening to all the birds and wildlife at night. We saw beautiful birds, a fox, coyote, and deer. Check in and out were a breeze. The whole cabin is magnificent on the inside! The bunk room and master bathroom were our favorite! Thanks for sharing your beautiful space!

Short get away

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make meals while we were there. Our daughters LOVED swimming in the pond and spend most of their time there. The beds were very comfortable. We had bad storms with hail and high winds two nights while were there and Livia was wonderful to let us put our van in their machine shed to keep it safe from hail damage. She was quick to respond to any messages I sent while we were there. We loved the weekend at the property so much that we booked Labor Day weekend before we even checked out!

Peaceful and private

It was a slice of paradise for myself, my parents, and my dogs. We were looking for a quiet place to escape fireworks and couldn’t have asked for a better place. The home itself is just the right balance of modern meets rustic. Open concept on the main floor allows everyone to interact. The upstairs area is a great space-the shower being the cherry on top. It’s great to be able to shower without jamming elbows and limbs into the walls. The deck was an excellent place to rest and listen to nature. The outdoor ceiling fans help keep insects away. The property was a great place to wander without any city noise or interruption. My dogs were able to explore freely without leashes or fences. The fire pit and dock are just a few steps from the huge open front porch. Will definitely return

Little Getaway to relax

We had a great time at Tin Roof Sundae. It’s decorated beautifully and has all the amenities you could possibly need. We fished, tried a great local golf course out, ate lots of BBQ and enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. The host was very communicative, friendly and responsive. Well worth it!

Friendsgiving

Spent the weekrnd with friends, quality time, catching up. The cabin was perfect for our needs. Cooking, watching movies and being able to be in the shared space was wonderful. The views off the deck are beautiful and all of the birds that came by and hung out in the tree outside the dining room window were entertaining to watch. We plan on returning with our hiking group once it's warmer again.

Perfect

My husband, myself and our dogs stayed here for a short getaway for our anniversary and birthdays. It was the perfect spot to get away from it all, relax, and let the dogs have space to enjoy themselves too. The owners were great, they had a bottle of wine on the island and fresh flowers on the table when we arrived. We were extremely happy with everything. Perfect location, great views, privacy, and trails to walk the dogs. Loved our time there.

We began building TinRoofSundae Cabin in 2014, intent on creating a comfortable and memorable getaway for our family of six. We completed the cabin in the fall of 2017 and are excited to share it with our guests. We hope that you find our spot as special as we do!

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our family purchased the Brush Creek North property in 2010. With four young sons who were just beginning to show an interest in hunting and fishing, we knew it was perfect for us.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

With its unique combination of native timber, grasslands, and soil makeup, the property is a "sweet spot" for habitat improvement. We have actively managed the property since 2010. By partnering with the Missouri Department of Conservation(MDC) and the Department of Natural Resources (NRCS), we have developed trails, improved wildlife habitat, performed timber stand improvements, and, in 2017, restored wetland habitat.

In 2015, we became the first Missouri landowner to participate in the Missouri Recreational Access Program (MRAP). This program opened up private property for public recreational activities. Wildlife viewing and hiking are available at the cabin site. For maps and additional information about our properties (Brush Creek North and Brush Creek South Tracts) or the MRAP program, check out the Missouri Department of Conservation website:
