Romantic hideaway for couples or small families â enjoy a fire pit, creekside walks & stargazing just minutes from Baptiste Lake & Bancroft. Tucked away with no neighbors and a private, fully fenced yard, this is the ultimate destination for couples and families seeking a peaceful getaway.
Imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of a creek. Share a cup of coffee on your private deck, or spend your evenings by a crackling fire pit under a canopy of stars.
THE SPACE
Step inside and be welcomed by an open-concept main floor where the kitchen flows seamlessly into the bright living room. Cook a favorite meal in the fully stocked kitchen while chatting with loved ones, or unwind in the living room with its sofa bed, comfy seating, and smart TVâperfect for family movie nights or a cozy evening for two.
On the main floor, youâll also find a spa-inspired full bathroom with a rainfall shower, adding a touch of luxury to your stay.
Head upstairs to the peaceful bedroom with a plush queen bed, designed for comfort and rest. Just off the bedroom, a loft retreat with another queen mattress offers hillside views through its windowâideal for morning coffee, quiet reading, or stargazing at night. A half bathroom upstairs ensures added convenience.
Outside, nature becomes part of your stay. Start the day with breakfast on the deck overlooking the creek, gather around the fire pit lounge under the stars, or enjoy outdoor dining with the BBQ grill. The fenced yard gives couples total privacy and offers families peace of mind.
For the most magical touch, wander to the back of the property where a bench by the creek awaits. Sit together and listen to the soothing sound of a gentle waterfall, with no neighbors behind or beside youâjust the calm of nature and the company you keep.
Explore the great outdoors with ease from the Cottage. You're just a 3 minute drive to Redmond Bay, 5-minute drive from Lake Baptiste and a quick 10-minute drive to Diamond Lake, both ideal for swimming, fishing, or boating. For water enthusiasts, the York River is a mere 2-minute walk away, with a convenient access point nearby â remember to bring your own kayaks! Plus, plenty of trails surround the property, perfect for hiking or leisurely strolls.
GUEST ACCESS
Guests have full access to the entire cottage and the yard, deck, and fire pit. The property is private, with no shared spaces. Free parking is available on-site. not included is access to one locked cabinet in the kitchen, locked cabinet in the main washroom (has house supplies) , locked hot water tank room (for guest safety)
Other things to note
The loft bedroom is accessed via fixed ladder and may not be suitable for very young children or guests with mobility limitations.
One bag of firewood per stay is provided.
The creek is natural; flow may vary throughout the year.

This area is a year-round paradise! I fell in love with the Haliburton/Bancroft region because of its vibrant community and endless opportunities for adventure. From hiking and fishing in the summer to snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter, there's always something to do. The local towns are charming, with great shops, restaurants, and a true sense of community that makes this more than just a place to visitâit's a place to experience.

On the east end of the property, you'll discover a hidden gem: a small, beautiful waterfall. We've placed a bench there so you can sit and soak in the view, letting the sounds of the water melt your stress away. It's my favorite spot, and I know it will be yours, too.
