Beläget på en lugn, familjegård i Lancaster County undangömt från vardagens buller och livlighet. Dina privata kvarter ligger i en lägenhet som är en del av vårt lantgårdshus från 1700-talet. Moderna bekvämligheter ingår utan att förlora karaktären i det gamla huset.

Clair and Mim were great hosts! The check-in process was really easy and the property was as listed. Inside it was clean and there were several games, books, and toys that our daughter loved playing with (especially in the upstairs nook area). Hershey Park was close by, which made it convenient to go back and forth. Overall, it was a great stay and we'd stay again if in the area.

Not just a cottage rental but a magical farm experience!!! Reminded me of growing up in my grandparents old farmhouse. Fireflies, sheep, cows, pond and a secret play room for the 5 year old!. So honored to learn about their family history and legacy. Very relaxing!!!

This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at! The attention to detail was impeccable and the hospitality was beyond what could ever have been asked for. The Miller family is hard working and honest…a model for our son to witness. The story associated with the property is amazing as well. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Hershey Vacation

Great little cottage for our family vacation. Cottage was very cool. It was full of character and charm. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely a must stay when you're visiting Hershey. We also visited Gettysburg which was an hour away. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Stay at the Farm

We picked this place due to its close proximity to Hershey. Everything was in great condition and very clean. Nice that our grandkids could experience the farm animals, too. Would highly recommend.

Mim, Clair and their granddaughter Clair were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was exquisite, old world charm with modern conveniences. It brought back memories and the comforts of our home we had in Michigan.

The perfect getaway!

If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay, this is it! The summer house was spacious, very comfortable, and well stocked with everything you would need. The farm is picturesque with rolling hills and beautiful sunsets and the location is perfect for a quick drive to any of the local destinations. I highly recommend this rental and can't wait to go back again soon.

Lovely stay on peaceful farm

We had a great stay over the Easter weekend. The cottage is about 20 min from Hershey Park which is where the kids wanted to visit - they loved making their own chocolate and all the rides in the amusement park. The cottage provided a calm and peaceful stay. There are two bedrooms sleeping 4 people, and the other two beds are on the landing near the main bedroom - most suited for kids. We had a lovely stay, thank you for the hospitality.

First vacation in PA

The property was perfect. You feel like you’re tucked away in farm country but have everything available to you 10-15 minutes away. The house was great and the beds comfortable. The back porch was nice to sit on as you drank your morning coffee. It was a nice, relaxing stay at the house. Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting PA

Summertime fun

My husband and our two adult children stayed here for a family reunion. It was a great place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Even our adult kids loved the goats, lambs and cows. 😄 The historic Summerhouse was wonderfully renovated. It has the modern touches with the important historic elements still in place. Mim and Claire couldn’t have been nicer.

Everything we needed plus

This apartment was just what we needed for our travel to Etown for a family wedding. With two small kids, we needed something more than a hotel room since we were staying a few days and this was perfect. The set up worked well for a pack n play and the open living area and kitchen had just enough comforts of home without too many breakables or hazards for a crawling little one. Plus, we all loved watching the farm animals and taking a walk around the property. The decor was simple and yet lovely and we felt able to relax when we were there amidst activities. Location is very convenient to pretty much anywhere in the area.

Great Little Getaway and We Will Be Back

Mim and Clair's summerhouse cottage was more than expected. The farm setting in Lancaster County offers unique place to relax and unwind. Both Mim and Clair were great hosts and were very proud of the property and its family heritage. One concern I had originally was the proximity to the main house, but it was not an issue at all. While Mim and Clair were there to answer any questions about the property or local areas of interest, we felt right at home and had our privacy. I would certainly recommend this property, especially to families of Elizabethtown College students, if you needed to spend some time in the area. We will most certainly be back.

Location was great but…

The house had an odd smell to it , and I do know it’s an old farm house. My allergies went crazy in the house. The second floor master bedroom bed was a bit soft for the person sleeping in it and It smelled like the bedding was left wet in the washer too long. Our WiFi only worked the first day. Very little the second and the morning of the third, so the kids tablets didn’t work for them at all. The washer smelled a bit skunky. As for the owner of the place, she was very nice and genuine. My kid loved the animals.

Peaceful and meticulously maintained getaway in a tranquil setting

I can not say enough positive things about our vacation. Their cottage is absolutely beautiful. The house is so well decorated and the old charm and history of the cottage is thoughtfully preserved. The farm and fields are picturesque and my husband and two young boys loved taking nightly walks on the fields. It was a perfect way to end a busy day. Clair and Mim were wonderful hosts. They were kind and attentive, but never intrusive. My husband and I both commented many times on how relaxed we felt and how it forced us to slow down and enjoy the moments. We will absolutely stay here again. I search for vrbo rentals regularly and always read the reviews. I highly recommend this house. It is clean, relaxing, close to town, but in a setting that allows you to feel like you are miles away. Our boys loved going out every morning and feeding the goats. My husband and I loved drinking coffee in the back porch and just taking it easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house was beautifully appointed and charming in every way. We had 5 women all stay for a wonderful getaway weekend where every detail from assorted teas to makeup remover towels was thought of.... and we took full advantage! The hosts were kind, available, and hospitable and we are making up reasons to plan another girls weekend at this cottage!

Speechless. Historic beautiful. House laid out with everything needed exactly where you would expect. Family included 30yo child, spouse, 80yo parents and myself with husband. We didn’t want to leave! Perfect 2 mile stay from winery where wedding was. Takes a lot to impress 30yo kids and they couldn’t say enough positive things about the stay!

Summer Getaway

Our time at the Lancaster County family farm summerhouse was idyllic. The home has all the modern conveniences necessary for a most comfortable stay yet it has such strong character with it's having retained it's 18th century charm. My family and I loved seeing the farm animals and we greatly enjoyed walking alongside the tall rows of corn. The hosts are extremely friendly, they are easy to talk with, they are very warm and gracious people and they are incredibly welcoming. My family and I were enchanted by the peacefulness and beauty of the property. The house was plenty big for our needs and it was clean, cozy and very nicely appointed. We look forward to a return stay as we are back in the area. Thanks so much, Clair and Mim, for making our Elizabethtown vacation so positively memorable.

We were high school sweethearts and married soon after graduation. We have enjoyed living on the farm ever since and it was a great place to raise our 3 children, all of whom are now married.

The farm's lineage has been traced to a deed signed in 1750 and we're passionate about the family farm as an integral part of the fabric of our nation. We really see ourselves as stewards. We have such a connection to the farmland, and that in turn translates into a God connection. We value where the land came from. There's no more being created, and it as a treasure. We have a responsibility to it.

As a family-owned and operated business, the Miller Homestead, up until 2012, was a dairy farm. We grow corn, hay, soybeans and barley.

We enjoy traveling and have often stayed in vacation rentals in out of the way places.

The Miller Homestead is located within easy highway access to Lancaster, York, Harrisburg or Philadelphia, providing many options for day trips.

The farm is in a quiet location yet easy access to stores and attractions. We are situated close to bicycle and walking trails. The farm pond is available for "catch and release" fishing. A tranquil one mile long farm lane lends itself to taking off-road walks.
