Second stay here

This was the second time my dad and I have stayed at the farm. It’s so peaceful and calming. I couldn’t ask for a better place to spend time. Rodney is a terrific host and a pleasure to talk with. I highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful and Spectacular

We have stayed at the property for the past three years and with each visit we love it more. Location is wonderful to whatever you would like to do. The host is beyond welcoming and the property is super clean. Highly recommend and we plan on going back very soon!

Awesome clean house

This quaint clean house up in the holler was peaceful and quiet. The owner lives close by and stopped in to say hello. Rodney was very professional and very likable. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice Weekend Getaway

Everything was great. Pictures were accurate, host was communicative, and we had everything we needed and more. A perfect location to enjoy downtown Weaverville but close enough to Asheville to enjoy it as well. Will be back.

A beautiful relaxing Retreat

The house and property are beautiful and Rodney is super nice. Great communication throughout the stay. However, do note, that the bedroom and bathroom doors have trouble latching. Overall a great experience.

Mountain farm delight!

Lovely property, clean house, exactly as described. My husband and son had everything they needed during their stay in Weaverville for a local little league tournament. Perfect location farm house

Stayed here on our babymoon from Texas! Rodney was very accommodating and let us check in several hours early. The house was well stocked, very clean and has everything we needed. Great views. Close to the little town for coffee, food and just close enough to ashville to drive for the day. We also did multiple hikes around the area. Overall great stay. Would stay again!

Beautiful Farm and home!

We loved this place! The family farmland spanning 7 generations was beautiful! Rolling hills, horses and a small stream just across the road. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed and then some. Rodney was quick to respond and helped us out when we needed assistance. We will definitely be staying again.

Home away from home

I cannot say enough positive things about this lovely little piece of heaven. It was like being home, away from home. Quiet, relaxing setting that is beautifully landscaped with gorgeous flowers, trees, shrubs, bird feeders, chimes, and just adorable little details that make it so inviting. Host and family (including horse, ducks, and cows) are so friendly and welcoming. House has everything you will need and then some! Location was excellent. Far enough away that you have peace and quiet, but only minutes to food, gas, and popular locations. Of all of my travels, this was my favorite place I’ve ever stayed.

Suggest a bath mat or something to make the tub slip resistant for safety reasons. Musty smell on entering. Cleared with opening windows. Would rent again. Lots to do in the area! Thanks

Quiet getaway

My dad and I came to Weaverville for my Granny’s 97th birthday. I am so happy we found this property to stay at. It was only minutes away from her nursing home but it felt like staying in your own country retreat. It’s amazing to look out the window and see so much beauty and nature. The property was clean and well kept and the owner Rodney was a gracious host. He came to check on us the first day and was so patient with my 77 year old father who loves to talk. He let my dad ask him about every friend and family member he could remember from the 1960’s even though he couldn’t have even been born then. It really made his day. If we are blessed enough to get to spend her 98th birthday together we will be back next year.

A Wonderful Place to Stay

Rodney's house is charming, well stocked, comfortable, exceptionally clean and in a location within a short driving distance of downtown and West Asheville. It was the perfect respite for a Covid escape from DC. The quiet was delightful - and the singing clock in the living room - quite charming. It doesn't sing all day - just enough to give the house more character and cheer you up as you go out to face your day. He was a great host - friendly, available and even stopped to help me catch my dog who overwhelmed and thrilled by the property and a few farm animals didn't want to come inside. Highly recommend.

Our Second Time with this property!

That's right... the first time was so good we had to do it again. :-) The property owner is on top of everything. Looking for some farm fresh eggs? Just give him a minute. ... One of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. This lovely place is out in the county, and it really is a working farm; horses and cows across the street. This is a family valley, and you can feel that as you are driving in. The owner made us a little fire in the fire pit Friday evening. The night temps were in the high 50's/low 60's so sitting out in the back yard with glass of wine in hand watching for shooting stars was Heaven. Earlier out grand child (age 4) had come over to play bubbles in the front yard. Really if you are looking for rest and relaxation this is the area in which to do it. Weaverville (downtown) with restaurants for grabbing a bite to eat, and unique shops for spending money is ten minutes away at most. This area just north of Asheville is the perfect place to recharge your city worn out batteries. Tell Rodney we sent you... it won't get you a discount, but it will let him know we are thinking about him. :-)
