Omg this place was wonderful. I’m not used to driving in the mountains so I was terrified but the house was wonderful. The only thing is I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heat but we were fine!

The view from the porch is lovely. We had a wonderful stay and especially loved the beautiful views—they were the highlight of the property. The home was comfortable, and we had a good time exploring the area. The host was responsive, and everything we needed was available.The home has a lived-in, personal feel, which some guests may enjoy. The house could benefit from some refreshing. Overall, though, the stunning location made for a very enjoyable visit.

"What a View" is exactly what we said when we arrived! It is a cozy and comfortable cabin with the rustic feel that I love. Lots of knotty pine. The porches were a great place to just sit and relax in the cooler mountain air, looking out at the view and the birds. Saw a few shooting stars during the meteor shower but mostly it was too cloudy. The cabin is in great proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway to drive to Blowing Rock and hikes, and also up to Boone. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of books to read too. Thanks for a fun stay and we will be back!

Great relaxing stay

We had a great family vacation. The area had a wide variety of activities for everyone and the house was well situated to just relax and enjoy the view in between.

Amazing view

Beautiful view of the Blue ridge mountains, and don't miss the sunsets in the family room widow. Great place to stay, you will not be disappointed.

Great mountain cabin

This was the perfect cabin for our stay with 3 adults and 1 teen. Great views! We would all like to come back and spend a longer time at the cabin.

Beautiful cabin

Loved staying at Kathy's cozy cabin. Really impressed with the location- right off the blue ridge parkway and only 10min to blowing rock and boone. Very clean and incredible view.

My family loves this house; its location is central to all of our favorite places to visit in and around Blowing Rock. The porch provides terrific, peaceful, sky and mountain views, and the loft is a perfect play space for kids. The kitchen is well-equipped and the individual heating/cooling units in all the rooms keep everyone comfortable at night.

Holiday Weekend

Had a lovely time. The home was well stocked and homey with a lot of knickknacks, but clean. The views were fantastic. Homeowner texted us about a fireworks show up the street and we had a glorious Fourth! The proximity to Blowing Rock town was fantastic.

Smiths getaway at what a view

We had an amazing 2 & 1/2 weeks in Blowing Rock. We loved the view and coziness of this property! It was very secluded in this amazing mountain neighborhood. We would definitely enjoy staying here again in the future!!!😁👍

Mountain Getaway

The best part of the property was the spectacular view of the mountains from the porch. The property is also well equipped and comfortable. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock enables easy visits to both places. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.
