Staden Harris Àr Michigan pÄ den vÀstra stranden av sjön Huron och har en hamn för fritidsbÄtar. Hamnen Àr ett centrum för lax och öring fiske. Det Àr ocksÄ en utsedd "nödhamn" pÄ Lake Huron av US Coast Guard. The Lake Huron strÀnderna i och omkring Harris (inklusive tvÄ statliga parker) har erkÀnts som bland "de tio bÀsta i Michigan." "Gammaldags sjö semestrar frammanas om denna vackra strÀcka av Lake Huron."

Harris Àr Michigan i utkanten av Huron National Forest, som erbjuder utomhus rekreationsmöjligheter sÄsom jakt, simning, lÀngdskidÄkning och öringfiske. Skogen innehÄller 330 miles (530 km) av vandringsleder. Huron och Manistee nationella skogar var separat utsedda, men kombinerades 1945 för administrativa ÀndamÄl.

Wonderful Stay

My family truly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and we loved the long beach walks and swimming. It was a nice property tucked away along the beach.

Amazing place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was so peaceful here & so beautiful looking out on the water especially having a fire listening to the water roll in!! Great night sleep with very comfortable beds! We would love to return!

Enjoyed a week at The Nest. We love this place & the location. It’s on the lake, sandy beach with kayaks available. You can walk the beach either way for quite a while. Very peaceful with beautiful sunrises. We love watching the birds and sitting around the fire pit. Communication with owners is very easy. They are responsive & on top of things.

Perfect vacation!

Loved this property; so peaceful and tons of room for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. The lake was warm and clear and we practically had the beach to ourselves! House had everything we needed—no A/C but plenty of fans so we didn’t need it. Great stay!

Heaven on Earth

Beautiful and private. Steps away from the Sandy beach and beautiful water of Lake Huron. We swam every day. The house has everything you need for your stay, including kayaks, which is so nice. Peaceful neighborhood. The Nest is the best. We are already looking forward to next summer.

Post Labor Day retreat

Beautiful lake house with breathtaking beach views. Excellent backyard property. We loved walking the beach and our labs loved jumping in the waves. The king bed we slept on was too soft for us with sheets that were worn and stretched thus not a good sleep - others may not have any issues . All in all - we would return.

The Nest is the best!

We look forward to staying here every summer. Great location in a private beach community. The house is perfect and has everything you need. Lots of space. You are steps away from the sandy beach and clear water of Lake Huron. We swam every day. Great fire pit on the beach. Communication with the Owners, Ann & Mike is excellent. They are very responsive. I always look forward to seeing Ann.

We had a great time! Cabin was spotless and exactly as pictured, and the surrounding houses were empty for most of our week. The king bed upstairs is one of the best beds I've ever slept on. We're looking forward to coming back next year!

We really enjoyed our week here. We were impressed by the high quality furnishings in the house. The beds were more comfortable than our beds at home! This is truly a well kept home, not just a beach rental like some of the places we've stayed. The house had everything we could need and more, with the lake right outside the door. A bonus for us was the quiet, shaded road behind the house where we could walk our dog. He is a hound who likes to bark when he sees people or other dogs so he couldn't walk on the beach. Hosts were very accommodating and we hope to stay here again.

Another fantastic stay!

We had a great time, even though the weather wasn’t the best. The way the beach front bonfire is set up, you are protected by a lot of the wind coming off of Lake Huron! We will be booking again! Thanks for sharing your wonderful place!

Holds a special place...

Reardon's Nest has always held a special place in our hearts for several years. It was our first experience with renting a place on the water and we loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, the place is in need of some updates as we found to be using the same towels, as we did 7 years ago. The rugs, comforters, and throw pillows are also original to our first stay, also many years ago. We are not picky people by any means and in fact, embrace the cabin's "grandma-like" home decor and general feel. However, as mentioned earlier, some definite updates need to take place here. Finally, we had to do lots of sweeping of sand and rearranging extra clutter in the kitchen to find anywhere to put a small amount of groceries and belongings. The wood furniture all had a sticky feeling and needed to be wiped again. There doesn't need to be 30 different mugs to drink from LOL it would be great to see some updates on this lovely place!
