Bekväma bo i avslappnad 100 år gammalt hem, 10 min promenad till Stonington Village

Detta hundra år gamla hem är en 15 minuters promenad över en pittoresk gångbro, in i hjärtat av byn. Huset har delats upp i två enheter med ett sovrum, ett på övervåningen, det andra på nedervåningen.
Jag hyr just nu lägenheten på första våningen. Den har sin egen ingång genom bakdörren och rymmer upp till fyra personer. Sovrummet har en dubbelsäng och det finns en bäddsoffa i vardagsrummet. (Observera: Tillgång till badrum för sovrum är genom vardagsrummet.) Badrummet har ett badkar med dusch. Men det finns ingen diskmaskin eller tvättstuga, men det finns ett fullt utrustat kök, TV, gratis WiFi och tillgång till en rymlig trädgård utrustad med bord och stolar för uteservering. Fönsterfläktar och en korsbris ger ventilation. På gatuparkering. Fastighetsägaren bor på plats i en stuga på baksidan av fastigheten.
The Village är värd för fantastiska restauranger och butiker, Stonington Lighthouse Museum, bibliotek, lekplats, La Grua Arts and Cultural Center, CT: s enda kommersiella fiskeflotta, och din sommar vistelse kommer med en gratis säsongspass till Dubois Beach på Point. Omfattande stigar för naturvandringar i närheten.
Se till att besöka Stonington Village Farmer's Market: Varje lördag, 9:00 a. m.-Non från maj till slutet av oktober. Den 1 november flyttar Farmer's Market inomhus till Velvet Mill, 22 Bayview Ave., 10:00 a. m.-1: 00 s. m. Velvet Mill är en 10 minuters promenad och är förutom bostäder vintermarknaden, en kreativ gemenskap av entreprenörer och småföretag, konst & hantverk, hälsa & helande tjänster, hantverkare bageri, mikrobryggeri, och helgen hantverk och vintage marknaden.
I Mystic hittar du Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, YMCA och många butiker och restauranger. Golfbanor ligger 15 minuter bort. Rhode Island stränder är bara 15-20 minuter bort (12 miles). Foxwoods Casino and Factory Store Mall och Mohegan Sun Casino och Performance Center ligger också cirka 15-20 minuter bort.
10 minuters bilresa till tågstationerna Mystic eller Westerly Amtrak samt I-95.

It was an amazing place to stay! We felt so comfortable in the calm and quiet spot! It is very close to everything so we were able to tackle Mystic Aquarium, Old Mystic Village, and Misquamicut Beach!! We would definitely stay again!

Very clean and comfortable. The host was kind and cared about our experience. Quiet and off the beaten path; a hidden gem for sure, wonderful place to stay if you find yourself in the area! Check in was easy and the kitchen was full size with all appliances, basic necessities to cook meals to save money and enjoy the local seafood.

It was a cozy, peaceful retreat. Our host was exceptionally nice and made sure to provide everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. The house was in a great spot that it was only a short jaunt in any direction to the places we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.The porch swing was my favorite part!

Sweet apartment in lovely neighborhood!

We had a lovely stay and felt very welcomed by Dorothy! I had an issue unlocking the door and she came over immediately to help. The apartment was spotless and cozy with views of her lovely gardens, located in a beautiful residential neighborhood. Very pleasant to walk from there to the marina where our boat was docked. We will be back next year!

Lovely perch

Excellent location, peaceful porch swing, tidy home, nice shower. Everything we needed for a short stay to explore the area. Host was responsive and kind! Note the sofa bed for extra guest is a very typical sofa bed in terms of comfort. Living room has less privacy, does have blackout window curtains, one open door to kitchen, door between living room and bedroom is sliding style with gaps. Parking was easy. Would stay again!

A great place to stay for The HMF Mystic Half Marathon & 10K

We stayed at this house for the weekend and found that it had the bare essentials we needed for a short stay—nothing fancy, but it got the job done. The owner let us extend our checkout and the hot water was excellent—long, hot showers were a big plus, especially after running a half marathon! What really stood out was the owner’s communication—responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

Cute, clean house. Comfortable,quiet and very peaceful.

I highly recommend this property!It is a quaint old house. Listing photos are 100% accurate. and there everything you need.Kitchen has dishware, utensils, mugs, glassware, cookware, etc.Plenty of towels, bed linens, pillows. Full bathroom with bathtub & shower. Everything worked perfectly. The owner Dorothy is very helpful and available for questions. Once reservation was confirmed, she provided written information for arrival and check-in procedure, amenities, etc. - very helpful for planning.I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location!

My husband and I had the best time for a long weekend at Dorothy's property. The very specific charm to the area was very apparent in this cottage! Even the bathroom was just adorable with the floral tile! It was very clean and the perfect size for us (could easily accommodate more than 2 with the pull out sofa). Minutes away from Stonington and Mystic, there is so much to do. We will definitely be back! I already miss hearing all the birds while sitting on the back porch swing.

Please call me Dorothy. I originally hale from outside of Akron, Ohio, and moved to Stonington in 1979 when my former husband and I opened and lived upstairs from Noah's Restaurant. In 1998, I sold my share in the restaurant and moved to Grandview Park, a whole mile away. In the early 70's, we spent four and a half years hitchhiking around Europe and across Africa as well as living in Worfelden, Germany while working for the American Military. VRBO is my way of paying forward the hospitality of strangers from around the world during that adventure.

Varför värden valde detta boende

I have become a fairly private person over the years, and I like the neighborhood because the people are friendly and considerate neighbors. A heads up for potential visitors: Most people do not have air conditioning and though I get a lot of feedback that it's a quiet place to stay, there can be outdooor gatherings with children and/or music in good weather. I don't recall being kept awake after 11 or even 10 and I've been here 26 years now.
