Carol is an amazing host of a gorgeous villa, located in a small Tuscan hilltop village. The villa is quite spacious and has a kitchen perfect for entertaining.Carol gave the best recommendations for day trips, restaurants, farmers’ markets, and shopping. I was very sad to leave. And now I need to plan to come back!

Linda and her family were the best guests we’ve had in a long time! They were so polite and friendly. And super quiet! We enjoyed each others company. I hope you will come back one day and visit again! Enjoy the rest of your stay in the Dolomites!

The house is a very quiet neighborhood. It’s centrally situated in Tuscany. We were within a hour of every thing we wanted to see. Carol is an excellent hostess.

It was a pleasure hosting Kim and her lovely friends and husband. They were all so polite and pleasant. Also we barely heard them at all. They followed house rules perfectly and kept the shutters closed so even though it was August the house stayed comfortable. Recommend her highly as a guest!

Tuscan dream house 5 *****

This home is made for the family that needs a great location to see so much of Tuscany! Good size rooms and very clean, a great walk around town with many lovely gardens including the one around the house itself, i am looking to go back to this amazing stone Villa next year !!!! :}

We work hard to make this charming home a welcoming sanctuary for anyone who loves beautiful things and comfort. Its name "Villa la Pace" means "Peaceful Villa" in Italian because it is tranquil and provides deep rest. Guests regularly tell us how deeply they sleep here and how refreshed they awaken!

Relaxing Stay in Casciano

The villa is lovely and was comfortable to stay. The kitchen was adequate for cooking needs. The porch was inviting and we watched many beautiful sunsets. The rooms were spacious to accommodate our needs. The property is on a hill so you need to drive up and up. The street is sloped so parking was a bit of a challenge. Its an easy walk into town. The owner was very responsive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great stay

The property was exactly as listed. Clean, nicely presented with comfortable BIG beds. Well appointed kitchen. Nice location at the top of a cute village. 10 minute walk into the centre (but it is up a bit of a hill). Carol the host is super friendly and accomodating (even helped with some transport issues). There were some nibbles/wine on arrival which was a lovely surprise. She provided helpful info of the surrounding area, and is a great help with any issues that may arise. Thanks Carol for a great stay.

Beautiful Tuscan Villa

We spent four nights in this beautiful Tuscan villa. Comfortable, bright and well furnished. Located in a beautiful residential community 20-30 minutes south of Sienna. Good location for day road trips around Tuscany. We had a few issues when we arrived. We could not get the washing machine or the dishwasher to work. We called the caretaker and he came right over and discovered that the water source was turned off. We were never able to get the internet to work and the phone service was spotty. But the villa was beautiful and convenient to all the little hill towns.

Three perfect weeks in Tuscany ...

This is the ideal launching pad for explorations of Tuscany and surroundings. We visited Montalcino, Montepulciano, Assisi, Castello di Brolio, Siena, and Florence in addition to the local towns of Murlo and Buonconvento. We even wandered down to the Mediterranean at Castiglione della Pescaia—a nice change from medieval hill towns. No matter how hot it was outside, Villa la Pace was a cool and welcoming haven to return to. We loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the birds while eating a meal or sipping coffee or wine. And on the one evening when it was unseasonably chilly, the fireplace provided a warmth that filled the house and our guests. We frequently consulted Carol's helpful book of information and very much appreciated her suggested itinerary for a week, along with the recommended restaurants, bars, and markets. Fernando and Carla (caretakers) were always friendly and accommodating and added a "family feel" to the experience. The house is in a lovely setting, well equipped with everything we needed, and having the village just a short walk away made a huge difference, as well. A little piece of Villa la Pace will always be with us ... After three lovely weeks here, we feel refreshed, renewed, and ready once more to face life without being on vacation! Thank you for everything, Carol!

La Pace...

The villa offers the "Real Tuscan" experience. This was my third stay here and I look forward to my return. The villa, besides its warmth, Tuscan charm and gracious helpful host is a serene gateway. You can relax in the gardens, or travel the country side, it is located in the heart of everything. A few miles from Siena, to wonderful medieval towns to the left and right, from museums, shopping and the most exceptional local restaurants. The choice is yours lots to do, but the best part is always the return to the comforting, welcoming beautiful villa for the most gratifying stay. I look forward to coming home here again and again. This time we made a BBQ of Chicken with Rosemary that I picked from the garden. I Highly Recommend this gem in the Tuscan Hills.

Spacious Stone Villa

What a wonderful place to stay! Spacious bedrooms, 2 baths, a lovely back deck for morning coffee with a beautiful view. Authentic Italian! I would recommend this home to any family or group looking for a quality place to stay that is accessible to many tourist attractions.

Beautiful Tuscan villa

I had a fantastic time during my visit this summer. The villa was magestic, comfortable and immaculate. It was very easy to get to as there is a bus from Siena directly to Casciano di Murlo. The owner was very helpful in answering my questions and concerns and she suggested several places of interest in the area. The house is only about 20 minutes outside of Siena where there are wonderful restaurants, shops, museums, and of course the Palio! I would definitely recommend this villa to my friends and relatives.

We are happy to see the resourcefulness in utilizing the bus service! Most guests rent a car but this is a valuable asset for those who prefer to use public transportation!
