The Famous Lucy Maud Montgomery used to live in this building while attending University.

Hardwood floors throughout with fireplaces in several of the rooms.
Fabulous kitchen granite countertop, stainless appliances an island for gathering around.

The accommodation was beautifully decorated to suit the era. Beds extremely comfortable Excellent Location -only 2 blocks from the Harbourfront with many fantastic restaurants. Only a few blocks from the shopping area. One challenge for seniors, which I am, are the stairs. There are 2 flights of stairs with 15 steps each therefore difficult carrying up suitcases to the first and second floors.

Very nice property with many helpful amenities, especially for a business trip. The one downside during our stay was the wifi was not working properly. It never was fully repaired during our 5 days. Fortunately, we were out working most of the time so it didn't inconvenience us too much. However for someone who relied on Wi-Fi, it could be an issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the historical property and the location worked well for our stay.

We had an incredible stay at this property! The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk to great restaurants, shops, and everything the area has to offer. The home itself is a beautiful historic property full of charm and character, while still providing all the comfort and space we needed.Traveling with a large family can be challenging, but this home had more than enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. It was the perfect place to gather, make memories, and enjoy our time together. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, spacious, and conveniently located place to stay!

Such a great place we decided to extend our stay! The location can’t be beat - you can walk to so many amazing restaurants, cafes, shops and the waterfront. It was very comfortable, spacious and clean - and in a historic building! This is the only place we will stay in Halifax from now on.

Group of 8 stayed here, and other than stairs (there are a few) it was a terrific spot.

House is in a perfect location. Had no issues finding parking. Great space and comfortable beds. Did see a mouse a few times but am told that is how things go in Halifax.

Luxurious Downtown Building

Family Vacation
The property was beautiful, clean and in the perfrct location for being able to walk anywhere in downtown. Close to a park for kids and lots of choice of restaurants too. So much history in the building was an extra bonus!

Wonderful stay at the Stoddard House
The 4 bedroom 2 bath appartment was spotlessly clean, full kitchen setup, beautiful furnishings including canopy 4 poster beds. The location was great with easy walking distance to downtown Halifax, the boardwalk, restaurants. Holly was very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay there again!

Very unique, charming, well appointed home
This home is centrally located, easy walk 5 mintue walk to waterfront and to Spring Garden Road and close to the Public Gardens.
Easy check-in,
Holly the manager was readily available, responded quickly.
Would definitely stay here in future visits to Halifax.

Family getaway
Lovely accommodation - close to Dalhousie, Spring Garden for shopping, Bishop’s Landing for waterfront stroll. The apartment was quiet and very comfortable. The games and tv options were perfect for relaxing with teens. I would highly recommend.
