Boasting scenic wooded views and vibrant, sunlit spaces, this colorfully-decorated, second-story condo is your home base for a worry-free Indian Beach getaway! Indian Beach is conveniently located between Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach so you will have access to lovely beaches (just a short walk from your door), a variety of shops and restaurants in Emerald Isle, the North Carolina Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores, the historic Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier, and the Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area offering self-guided trails and wildlife viewing on 265 acres. Nearby Morehead City has all the “bigger city” amenities and daily fishing excursions, while Beaufort (the third oldest city in North Carolina) is a lovely historic town with fun shopping, fantastic dining, and scheduled boat excursions to the barrier islands.

Inside this large comfortable two-bedroom vacation rental, discover a well-equipped, full kitchen, a dining table for mealtimes or rainy day games, and a living area with comfortable seating and a TV for evening movie nights. This space opens out to a private, furnished balcony. The neighboring maritime forest provides a naturally beautiful setting accompanied by the sounds of singing native birds. Very nice, large, well appointed condo in Indian Beach. The property looks new and well taken care of, a beautiful pool, and the beach is not crowded at all in September. We would stay there again. As for the folks at Atlantic Beach Realty, we look for them on VRBO because they go the extra mile. Great week!

Place is bigger in person but the beds were not comfortable. I guess everyone’s different but they were super stiff and pillows were ere flimsy. Upgrading these two things would be game changer.

Really nice place!

This is one of the two cleanest and best-kept vacation homes we have stayed in. It was in a great location, not crowded at all, and not commercialized like Myrtle Beach and Ocean City. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

The upstairs was leaking into our bathroom and tub/ shower. Maintenance was quick to respond however leak continued to get worse. The maintenance guy also fixed the drain in the other bathroom but the toilet in that one developed a whine/ internal running noise the last couple of days. This is our second stay in the same unit and we did not have any negative experience then and that was 4 years ago. Matresses in the second bedroom are getting pretty worn out. Also we would have liked the option to bring our dog as it appears the host also has a dog. All in all we love Colony by the Sea. Master bedroom was nice and comfortable. Living area and kitchen are also very nice. Washer/Dryer is a huge plus. Would stay again but plumbing issues need attention as maintenance said looks like the ceiling had been patched once before and Init upstairs is NOT managed by Atlantic realty. Thank you

A great place to stay

It's evident that the owner takes pride in this property. It is well equipped - short walk, with deck and stairs right to the beach - spacious - conveniently located to both ends of the island. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others.

Beautiful area

The condo is very nice-super clean. We didn’t realize this condo is at the front of the building , but it was nice and a very short walk to the beach. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

The listing advertised ocean view. From the back deck you could see a sliver of the ocean with many trees and the other condos in the way. this was very misleading and disappointing on our arrival. The condo was well stocked with everything you would need which was very nice and appreciated, it rained the whole time we were there so we never used the pool or hot tub.

Disgusted

I will tell u what I did not like. I was told it was ocean view. Deception. If I looked over house and a tree I had a slight view. Need I say more I love colony by the sea. But very disappointed

It was “ok”

Condo was ok. Customer service from Vacasa was terrible. Cable didn’t work in any room ALL week long…..kitchen needs some dishes and things replaced…..drain in master bath backed up….floors hadn’t been mopped in a while and got your feet dirty.they advertised all linens were provided and didn’t have enough pillow cases for the bed pillows….they never brought us any?!?! Never could get a person on the phone….texted Vacasa all week. Finally got a response at end of week and seemed the local office was understaffed…..they NeVER took care of any of the problems and was told they would give some sort of refund and they were sorry they didn’t get things resolved. Still haven’t received a refund (have text to prove they said they owed us a refund though.) out of all the homes/condos I’ve rented over the years at obx and Atlantic beach I have never seen a company like this not care and handle things in a proper way.
