Beautiful home!

This lakefront property was stunning. Our grandchildren live in Michigan and we rented the property to have a holiday celebration with them, including matching pajamas and gift openings. A wonderful time was had by all and the property accommodated all of our needs from the teenagers to the six-year-old. The owners were great and very responsive. We look forward to returning in the summer to take advantage of the water, amenities and festivities.

Great house for kids and dogs

Property is extremely well equipped for famlies - with life vests of all sizes, plenty of games, lots of beds/rooms and bathrooms and a full kitchen. Lake is very quiet during the week. Property was a great fit for all ages.

Great property!

We came for my brother's wedding and had lots of family staying. We booked two properties that Tia offers to accommodate everyone. Tia is very friendly and communicated well with us. We did not have problems at all while staying at the property. It is very inside the neighborhood area. The roads are a little bumpy, not many street lights in that area, but overall a great stay. The house has lots of room and is absolutely beautiful inside! My mother was highly impressed with how clean the house was! We loved the view of the lake and did enjoy using the paddle boat! Great house if you have a big family! Highly recommend staying at her properties!

Perfect for family gathering

The house has everything we needed for an annual family gathering of 16 people. Wonderful common space, lots of towels etc, and a warm atmosphere. The host was very responsive to any request. We enjoyed not having to worry about supplies as we were snowed in for a day. Even that came with needed firewood! The master bedroom is the warmest so if you like to sleep cool, stay downstairs. Getting in the hot tub while it was cold outside made for a great experience.

A memorable stay <3

We got married earlier in the day courthouse-style then had family over for a potluck later in the afternoon. The house was more than large enough for the food and to sleep us and the few folks who traveled from NC and VA. Truly a night we wont forget. Thank you, Tia!!

Celebration of Life for mom

Amazing. Perfect weekend. Everything was better than I could imagine. The house was so well organized and laid out. My whole family fit. Wish we could have enjoyed the outdoors more but weather didn’t cooperate. Would love to return.

Private family getaway

Very nice place for a family vacation, pictures are accurate. The master suite is luxurious! There were plenty of beds and bedrooms for a big group. The hot tub was wonderful, the indoor/outdoor seating areas were nice, spacious. The wifi works. The kitchen was big enough and equipped enough we were able to cook and eat in. We couldn't swim the lake near the shore because of vegetation but we did kayak and paddleboat all around. There is some great wildlife, we watched families of swans swim around over coffee. The lake is the right depth for pontoons and jet skis, we brought a little bit bigger boat and ended up putting it in a different lake nearby that had a good public launch. Tia and Mike were great hosts!

This property is very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals. The indoor and outdoor spaces allowed lots of space to gather for meals and spending time with family.

Wonderful home for the whole family!

We really enjoyed our stay -- plenty of room to accommodate our large group of family members meeting up from different states. I booked the place and my relatives who arrived before us were so excited and impressed with the house! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, and the kayaks and paddleboat (despite Cooper Lake not being ideal for swimming). We were very comfortable inside the home as well, and very much appreciated the host leaving us a blender when I asked in advance if there was one available. Would definitely recommend this property!

Cousin weekend

14 cousins from across the state spent 3 nights here. It had plenty of rooms and a nice kitchen that made it easy to do meals. Very satisfied with our stay.

Great Property for Families

We really appreciated and enjoyed our stay. We were able to accommodate ourselves, our adult children and spouses and three toddlers very comfortably, and the open plan kitchen/living room was a perfect gathering place. Tia was a super host, she suppled porta-cribs, a high chair and a couple of booster seats so no one had to travel with them, and having four full baths was really a bonus. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was very well supplied, very large refrigerator/freezer, lots of plates, glasses and flatware. Her information and directions were very clear and she was sympathetic to our logistical issues. We had a lovely Christmas holiday stay. Very much recommend this property.

This place was awesome

The property is well taken care of. The layout is great for large groups. There are 6 bedrooms with the master being phenomenal. The bed situation worked well for us, but there is only one ensuite, but there are plenty of other bathrooms and all have at least a shower. One member of our party is wheelchair bound and by moving some of the furniture around, the kitchen, living room, and the office bedroom were very accessible as was the large deck. there are a few steps to get into the house and down to the dock, but we are used to helping him up and down, so that wasn't a major problem, but people with ADA issues should be aware. There is one bathroom on the main level that has a walk-in shower, and the property had a shower chair, so that worked great. The bed situation was not optimal for our group, because we were mainly adults and there is only one King bed and there are two rooms that have a full bed with a twin in the same room. However, all beds were comfortable. Ask mentioned, the lake was great, but the owner had warned us that swimming from the beach was not an option because of the vegetation growth in the water. There is a sand bar in the lake where everyone goes to hang out and party. The sand bar can be reached by kayak or paddle boat and there are numerous of both that come with the rental. We chose to rent the pontoon boat offered by the owner and would advise that for larger groups. Overall, a great place to stay. We used the property as a base of operations to attend a football game at The Big House. We take this group to at least one away game each year and had 16 adults with 3 kids on blowups on the living room floor and it worked great. If you are doing similar, I would advise renting a party bus to transport to the gam as we did. The stadium is about an hour away. The owners were great, and we ran into them at the sand bar and partied with them for a while. Good folks. We went to the nearby Walmart and bought several cheap fishing rigs and the kids (and adults) had a blast fishing for the very compliant blue gill pan fish right from the dock.

This place is FABULOUS!!!!

I would come back to this place in a heartbeat. You know how nothing is good as the pictures look? - well this place is even better. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is large and easy to have several people working at once --- and IT IS ON A LAKE!!!!! Everything was just great and Tia & Mike are the best hosts. All of my friends would come back in a heartbeat... and they take pets (icing on the cake!)

Amazing Stay On The Lake

Appreciated having 6 bedrooms but so-so in other areas

Would be nicer in the summer to be on the water! We did enjoy the hot tub, though. The bedrooms allowed our large family with little ones to all get good night sleeps. Some problems with the house: * most of the house was clean with a few exceptions -- oven and some old donut holes found in a closet * no paper towels, napkins, garbage bags or salt -- seem like basic things a rental home should provide. One dishwashing pod when we were there for four days and nights. Also, bathrooms and kitchen need better soap! * the house temperature varied greatly room to room * inadequate light in some rooms and very confusing light switches * too much clutter

Fabulous experience all around

We had a party of 9 adult family members traveling from different parts of the country to celebrate our mom/grandma’s 80th birthday. From the website, this property sounded like the perfect place for us to all spend the weekend under one roof and host a small family brunch for the birthday celebration. Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. The home was warm and cozy but also spacious and very well laid out. It was well stocked with everything we needed for comfort and enjoyment. The location and views are spectacular. Unfortunately due to the weather we were unable to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor spaces. The hosts were exceptional. They were responsive to our communications and promptly answered all questions. It is a really beautiful house that was perfect for our weekend vacation. We would love to come back when the weather is good!
